Chicken and veggie pie with mashed potatoes and gravy

Best chicken pie!!! I stopped by on a whim after I ran into Wal-Mart. I got a 4 person chicken and veggie cold pie, mashed potatoes and gravy. It took 55 min to heat up perfectly in the oven. It was so delicious and kid approved too!! I will definitely go out of my way to come back soon.

After stopping at Walmart for some art supplies, my son really wants to try the Harrow's chicken pot pie for the first time. The staff was very helpful in explaining how it works. You can buy a fresh or frozen one and cook it at home or call ahead to have a hot one baked for you. It so happened that they have an "apartment size" pie (serves 2 to 3) with vegetables baked and available. We got that and six fresh dinner rolls for $20. The pot pie is filled with large tender pieces of chicken, potatoes, and carrots in a creamy sauce under a nice, flaky crust. The sauce is not too rich and not overly salty. The dinner roll are very fresh, soft, and fluffy. Definitely got the fresh homemade taste and feel.

    Fantastic Tasting Harrow's Chicken Pies!!!

Recently went to Harrow's after I had heard from a few people how good the Chicken Pies were. We went to the store in Tewksbury, MA, although they have several other locations as well. These pies are available cold, frozen or if you call ahead they will bake them for you to bring home hot. They are loaded with huge chunks of tender white meat chicken; with or without vegetables. I have had both ways, but I prefer them with no vegetables, as I don't care for potatoes in chicken pie. I take a little egg wash and brush it on top of the crust so it bakes nice and golden. They also sell freshly baked rolls, dessert pies, sides such as squash, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, etc. Hands down the best!!! Harrows chicken pies are delicious and well worth the price!!!

First off as a pie specialist we first bought an apple pie from here and found it to be below average. The worst part was the crust so we were hesitant to go for a chicken pie to follow. At one point our family had suffered a loss and a friend picked up a chicken pie to help us not worry about cooking dinner during that time so our first test of a Harrow's chicken pie began. Honestly it was much better than the apple pie we purchased but still lacked on overall flavor and consistency. I would prefer a chicken pie from Cote's market down town Lowell or even KFC first. Harrows is just so so in my book but no worries I'll give them a try again and see if they improve along the way. I may pick one up in the morning/afternoon for dinner tomorrow night to give them another shot. After all everyone deserves the chance to show what they have got. Pie for life but only if it's good!!

If you are looking for a cozy and warm place, this is not your restaurant. It has a huge interior and a very long bar, and if you want to see a sporing event, you have found your place with multiple large screen TV's playing all the live action. When we went on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was nearly empty and sounds echoed a bit. We were greeted by our server, Delmi M, and she brought out small containers of chips with some relatively mild salsa (neither were replenished during the meal). The service was slow, but relaxing, and since were were celebrating a birthday party for a granddaughter, that suited us just fine. Wow stuck to soft drinks and water, reasonable at $3.50 for soft drinks and quickly refilled as they were emptied. The dinner plates were more than enough for each of us, and the food was delicious but rather bland for a Mexican place. We had the following: Grilled Veggie Tacos, Veggie Enchilada, Chicken Chimichanga, Chicken Tacos, Pork Belly Tacos, and Blackened Salmon Tacos. The salmon was a real taste treat, as was the pork belly. One aspect of the meal that is a perpetual problem for me is that the server removed plates as people finished the last bite, leaving no silverware or plate for sharing what the more leisurely diners might not want to finish. The food was definitely good, and I am very sure that on a busy Saturday night or during a major sporting event, this place would be rocking. The murals on the walls were colorful and diverse in their appeal. If I were looking for a romantic and private experience, I would avoid 3 Amigos, but if I wanted to gather a crowd for a sports bart experience or a roomy place to gather, I would try it again. I would also like to feel I was in a place where the waitstaff was excited to see the clientele. Their attitude could have been due to a lazy Saturday lunch without much happening.

I had to travel up to Massachusetts on Monday and I was quite disappointed with the lack of a New England accent on anyone. We used to be a proper country. In any event, on Monday, I went to Mexica Burrito Grill. I met a man, on the line in front of me who insisted this place was good. I was skeptical because, I don't know this guy and why was he being so friendly? I ignored the warning signs and assumed he may be correct as he too was a husky gentleman. I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas. I told them to include the rice and beans, because a man needs fuel that sticks to the ribs, along with double carnitas, cheese, and nothing else that sounded like it belonged in a rabbit's lunch. No vegetables, no salsa, no cilantro trying to ruin a perfectly good meal. They delivered. The carnitas were delish, properly seared, and tasted like actual pork that had been treated with respect (salt, heat, and time). The rice and beans did their job, simple, hearty, and not pretending to be anything fancy. No lectures about "fresh ingredients" or where the avocado came from. No one cares, Chad. Just a solid bowl of meat and starch, which is how God intended bowls to be used. I ate it back at the hotel with a black coffee and a pocketknife for portion control. Felt like I could split logs afterward. This is acceptable food. I may return. Highly recommended for men who understand that beef or pork are staples, with enough rice and beans to keep the machine running.

It can feel a little cramped when it's crowded but the ambiance is nice with the soft lighting and vibrant decor. Service from the bartenders was great. Despite tacos and burritos being the only sections for main courses, some of the individual items can be meals on their own. I had the Surf and Turf quesadilla which was very filling. The tortilla has nice and crispy and there was a good balance of the different fillings (shrimp, steak, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo). The chipotle sour cream (I assume that's what it was, the menu didn't say) was a nice addition. The cocktails are as tasty as they are cheekily named. My favorite among the ones I've tried is Smoked Mangos, which comes with a slice or torched mango. The prices for both food and drink are a little steep and the food menu is rather limited, which is the reason I give this place stars instead of 5. If you come in expecting free chips and salsa and huge portions like your typical (American) Mexican restaurant, you'll be disappointed. If you want somewhere fun to have some drinks and some smaller plates, you'll be satisfied.
