Fried Pickle App - $11 but had so much! These were already eaten through!
    Sara F.

My mom's been begging to try Harry's since they opened a location on 62. The menu pricing is higher than I'd like, so I've been reluctant. I can't say my opinion has changed. First, we had to switch tables because there was a drain on the floor and it smelled horrible, like a poorly drained bathroom. I really feel like something is off because the water wasn't great either. The fried pickles were thick and tasty. The dips were good too. Even though they give lots of fries, they aren't awesome. I ordered ranch and that helped! The Brussels were good but there was too much syrup! My sandwich was decent but also, not really special as opposed to other places nearby. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't great. I'm not sure if I would return. A guy at a table over kind of gave the same type of review too when we were asking what he likes.

Harry's Tap-house has a new location on Highway 62, near River Ridge, former A.S.S. Restaurant. Great location for the area! They have a nice patio on the side of the building. It allowed us to dine al fresco in the shade with a breeze, nice. Alexis, our server, was very friendly & helpful. She told us the portions were large & big enough to split. She was telling the truth. I took have of my meal home & had it for dinner. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. The chicken was not overly sweet & the potato salad had just a little kick. I enjoyed both. I also ordered a Harry's Red beer. It was light tasting & good for the weather. Very enjoyable. Mike ordered the Smokehouse Burger med-well, minus the cheddar cheese. It came with Seasoned fries. He said his hockeypuck burger with bacon, barbecue sauce, and three onion rings was underwhelming. The burger was cooked correctly. The bacon was not crispy. Once he removed the three onion rings, he only had bacon, barbecue sauce, and a burger. He said the seasoned fries were excellent and plentiful; I agree. This meal was $17. If you want a gourmet stack burger for $17, go elsewhere. There were only 2 choices for burgers. I would return, if I were in the area. I just wouldn't order a burger.

Ten minutes and not even a menu. I understand busy but that was annoying. I may try again as the food looks good, but that's ridiculous.

Very good! The fish sandwich is massive and very yummy. It is a good value for the quality and portion size of the meal.

The sun bright and warm as it slowly set in the west. Lucy was our waitress, relatively new; she was kind, polite and helpful. When she didn't know something she had it checked out. We ordered a few drinks; I ordered a side salad with balsamic dressing ( good taste). For entrees we had the vodka plate, with slaw and sidewinder fries. The sidewinders are always good, especially fresh. I had the wings with side voo-doo sauce. She Mentioned it had a bit of a kick to it. The fish, slaw and fries were all good. My wings were good tasting and nice portion. The voo doo sauce was just right for me; hot, but not that hot it took the taste away. We struck up a conversation with a stranger from Nashville who was here for work. It's nice that people can be outgoing and have a nice side conversation Nice day, nice restaurant, good food, staff and a new acquaintance; doesn't get much better.

Brezzie ( sp ) was our waitress; she was totally spot on with everything. The setting was again awesome with a nice day over looking the river, the Louisville skyline and the bridges. Walking bridge was busy. Drinks were ordered and food orders placed. I had aside salad that was fresh, crisp, nicely crafted and tasty. Along with that I had the dry rubbed wings. So good and nice portion. My wife had the Reuben which was new for her (use). It was very, very good and well put together. I'm not a big Reuben person but I tasted it and it was very good! And when Breezie was busy another waitress perfectly slipped in to keep us well served. Their training is spot on. In my opinion this location probably has some of the best trained staff in the Clark County area. Not that others a bad this place just feels like a step up. It's definitely one of those places that cater to regulars and has a divey feel to it…read more We ordered a couple of appetizers, including : Jalapeno wontons (filled with jalapeños, cream cheese, and bacon, then fried to a golden brown. Served with our famous sticky sauce.) These were really good, not spicy but flavorful. Hoopster's Hot Packets (3 Empanadas filled with taco meat Served with our house-made chipotle aioli.) I did not care for these, the filling was meager and the exterior was literally dipping with oil which I cant stand with fried foods. For my meal I ordered a Shrimp Taco, Hand Breaded (topped with crunchy cabbage and cilantro salad. Served with homemade secret sauce.) Did not care for this, the breading on the shrimp was extremely salty, so much that I couldnt finish. However, the Fish Taco, which I got grilled (topped with crunchy cabbage and cilantro salad. Served with homemade secret sauce.) was much better - very fresh and very tasty. Service was adequate in terms of attention, not too much, not too little. There was a smell of dirty dish water/cleaning fluid at the time we were there which did put a slight damper on the experience but hopefully that was a one off and isnt there all the time. I dont know if I would make a special trip here again but I would probably go with people who were already going to watch a game or something.

Beer and some drinks are also discounted. Service, again, was excellent, with a cheerful and helpful server. My wife ordered chips and queso, a rather small serving of both, but I did think the jalapeños in the queso was a nice touch. Then, a bowl of gumbo that was a grand slam. Rich flavor packed with gumbo goodies. And to top things off, she went with shrimp tacos which you requested grilled rather than fried. She loved them. The only glitch was the server said the tacos come with a side of waffle fries, but were plated with more chips and queso. As we already ordered that item, she immediately offered to bring out the waffle fries. I went with a side salad, essentially a spring mix of greens with cheese strips. Nothing special. Then I ordered lemon pepper wings off the app menu. Served hot, well seasoned, but slightly dried out. The wings were a bit better (moist) in my previous visit. My only "ding" is some trivia type game they play on Friday evenings with some guy on a mic blasting "name that tune" questions. Distracting. And if you read the room, virtually no one was playing, let alone interested. Just let us enjoy our food and fixate on any of the multiple screens showing sports programming.
