I was accused of "stealing on camera" by a bartender who was not working that night. I talked to the bartender who WAS working that night and everything was all good! We settled up and I tipped her 20 bucks just for the hassle the other woman caused (making me seem like a theif in front of a crowd full of people). How embarassing!! So I paid, and tipped her a $20. I am NOT a theif and come to this bar every single day. I have forgotten to pay my tabs twice in a year and half, and always have come back the very next morning to pay. They always say "no problem sweetheart, we know you always come back and settle up! Please don't worry!!!!" And I tip them a $20 the 2 times that has happened, Just to be nice and to try to correct the inconvenience. They always assure me its not a problem because I come here almost every day for months and months and months. But the new girl, her attitude is complete sh!t!!!! I used to love this place. But I will not be returning. Her name is Paula, blonde hair. Everyone else is a sweetheart!!! & She was too, until tonight. Skimped on my drink that I basically paid 35 dollars for a whiskey and coke. So I wouldn't recommend this place. They do have good food. But depending on the night, you can have a wonderful time or a sh!tty time. read more

I've been going to Harry's for a very long time now, it's always a good time! Ever since they prohibited smoking it's been even better. Watching people perform karaoke, playing pool, listening to the jukebox, playing arcade games, and eating tasty food are all reasons I love this place! read more

Harry the Hat's - Best bartender ever!! - Bars Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

My two friends & I recently vacationed in North Myrtle & our condo was located close to Harry's. We had heard great things about the place so we decided to go for drinks on our second night in town ($90 tab). There wasn't many people in the bar but the few people we met were very friendly. (None of us know a stranger). We loved the bar & had a lot of fun so we decided to go back for karaoke/Taco Tuesday. The place was packed but luckily we got our same 3 bar seats & it was fairly low key until karaoke revved up & then everyone was having tons of fun! Obviously we met more new friends! After about 3 hours, the bartender approached one of us & stated that she could not serve us anymore because we had gotten out of hand the first time we were in there. She continued to describe what we had "supposedly" done & said - which none of the things were accurate. We decided to pay our tab & leave peacefully. My question & concern: if we caused problems in there the first time we visited then why weren't we refused service & asked to leave as soon as we went in the second time? Instead, the bar let us run up a $150 food/alcohol tab before they decided to tell us that we had gotten out of hand two days prior...... several of our "new friends" were even confused on the accusations. At any rate, we visit MB often & we will not return to Harry's & plan on telling everyone we know not to give this establishment a dime. Lastly, our bartender Sara did an excellent job - she was "instructed by the manager" to stop serving us (even though we weren't acting any sort of out of hand way in camparance to everyone else in the bar)...Apparently having fun is not allowed in a condo complex bar...but make sure you get $300 of their money before deciding it's time for them to to go.... read more

This place is indeed open. My first impression was to turn around and leave because of the smoking allowed inside. We decided to stay and see. The smoke stinks, but I can muster through it. They have DJ BINGO on Sunday nights and it is well ran. We only had apps and beer, so not much to say about food. Waitstaff is very attentive. Bar seems to have a lot of local folk. Overall, I'd be questionable to go back due to smoking allowed inside. read more

We just got in to Myrtle from our flight. Went to three different places that weren't serving food so we came here. Worst idea ever, truthfully go to the gas station and get a bag of chips. We walk in and the bartender with the man bun was rude and just an a**hole to us. We had a party of five ( we're traveling so you think you would want to be friendly to get a nice tip... guess not ) and needed to move two chairs to suit our party. It was fairly busy due to trivia night. The bartender with the man bun made a huge ordeal about us moving a chair because he couldn't leave that part of the bar without one. After one of our girls ordered a drink he stared at her ID for about a minute or two thinking it was fake. He ignored us when we tried asking for another, made no eye contact, no small talk. Nothing. He seemed irritated with us when we were trying to order food and I just felt uncomfortable being in this place. To the bartender that served us.... Here is a tip for you. Lighten up. Maybe smile a little. I work in customer service and no matter how bad my day is I will never make a customer feel like crap when walking through my doors. Do better. read more

This was our first time to Myrtle Beach and we were staying nearby and it was recommended. First of all....Holly is "THE best". Polite and will ask the chefs/cooks to accommodate the dishes to your liking. Second, the chefs/cooks do a great job. It's a hidden gem because everyone is so friendly, the food is great and they have tv's (which they will tune in your favorite sport) and pool tables. Family friendly too! read more

Had an incredible experience at this restaurant last night. Had the family out for dinner and karaoke. The food was very good, understand it's a bar & grill so it's not fine dinning but the food was very good. The best part were the people!!!! Our server was outstanding! All they staff could sing like professionals. Some incredible voices. Also, you could tell there are a lot of regulars that were there and all were so nice. We finally found a restaurant in MB that we felt like the staff and people actually enjoyed us being there. Fun time! read more

Had a small group of 14 people go out to eat at Bimini's. A few beverages in and the group had been convinced Karaoke was the after dinner solution. We made the 0.9 mile walk in 18 minutes and arrived at the establish called Harry the Hats. Once we got over the shock that the bar was in a condo complex, we settled into our libations. There was frustration over the karaoke not happening, but boy o boy did we made the best of it with our handy Touch Tunes app. After a few rounds of shots (tequila, baby Guinness) there was a lengthy debate over whether a bear fight (irish car bomb followed by a yager bomb)was a good idea(it never is). After playing the usual favs 'Mr Wendal', 'We Found Love', 'Myrtle Beach' and 'Zombie', We made that club f*ckin lit when 'Ole Town Road' came on. Shit got so crunk. Dancing on on the bar, grinding and getting down. I give this place a 5 out of 5. Again, it got so crunk in there. Def recommend this place to any new mom and dads who want to let their hair down/loosen their belts in Myrtle Beach. Went with a group of friends. Had to interrupt the bartender from her conversation with her workmate to order a drink. She couldn't tell us of the happy hour specials.. Pretty useless. Ordered a simple chicken sandwich. To say it sucked would be a compliment. The bun was a brick and the chicken must have been in the deep freeze for months. I'm really easily pleased .. Went there Friday night, April 28 to do Karaoke. Took four of us, one extremely handsome guy, three most beautiful ladies. Everything was great! Our group was staying in the condos where this restaurant is located. While at the pool one day, we decided to order lunch. We watched for someone to step outside so we could flag a waitress, but after some time, one in our group stepped just inside the door to request a menu and was abruptly told, "you can't be here without a shirt!" He apologized, located a menu, and waited outside for someone to come take his order. After some time, another from our party decided to give it a go and approached a man who worked there and had just stepped out. When she asked to place an order, he told her, "I'm going to smoke a cigarette first and then find someone to take your order." We still waited patiently, even after he returned inside and no one came out. The lady that approached this man even went and sat in the outside bar area as a reminder that we wanted to order, but no one ever came. This took place over the course of at least an hour. We really wanted to enjoy this and are really patient patrons, but we ended up taking our business elsewhere. read more

We just discovered Harry the Hat's this year after coming to the area for over 10 years. Wings are crispy! They have amazing specials! We tried the $5 burger and fry special on Wednesday and all of our burgers were wonderful! The hurricane drink is also delicious. Things are good at Harry's... the new staff is much more attentive. Scott, Gina and Missy obviously have all been in the service industry for a while, they want their customers to come back and visit again. Even though I'm not a big karaoke fan it is definitely lots of fun to watch! Trivia night on Wednesday gives you a night to spend with friends and stimulate your brain.
