    Turkey Pastrami (8" Regular)

I got the turkey pastrami. What made this sandwich so good was the thinly sliced veggies and quality of the turkey. The kick from the pepper really set this off. So good! Toasted on French w Swiss is the way to go.

Been wanted to try this great sandwich shop after seeing one video about it and realizing I had walked by it and missed it so many times. Harry's is tucked into the Monadnock building (which is super cool architecturally by the way) and it's just a cute lil local lunch counter with your classic sub sandwiches! I was surprised they had smoothies too. I got the torpedo regular size and it came out to about ($12). It was a good filling lunch!! I like they have smaller options too. The service was great and you can tell this is a staple restaurant that has been around a while. Really good and will definitely be back!

View from inside. More interesting on a warm day.

Cute sandwich shop we stumbled upon. Sandwiches, Soups, and smoothies. We're opted for the smoothies since it's unseasonably warm today and we've been walking. The smoothie helps your mouth be happy. I don't knew how else to explain it. Clean and flavorful!

Walked into this little shop on a rainy day. I ordered the Torpedo which had ham, salami and bologna, with everything on it and French bread. The sandwich was good! Nothing crazy. I think it was on the pricier side for what you get. The size them different by super/regular/junior.

I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to sandwich shops, but I'd say Harry's knocked it out of the park! Today there was a "short staffed" sign on the door, but they totally could've fooled me. I got my sandwich quick regardless of the 5 people in front of me. They put an oil/vinegar on the sandwich that adds a nice kick to it, especially if you get onions. If you get a sandwich, I recommend getting it toasted. While you wait, you can check out the pictures inside and/or look at the large menu and smoothie options. It's a cozy little shop with a lot of character, and I will definitely include this in my lunch options going forward!

Idk why the overall score for Harry's is so low??? All I see are 5 star reviews and it deserves it!!!! This unassuming sandwich shop is serving up DELICIOUS, bouncy, flavorful, SCRUMPTIOUS, fresh, juicy sandwiches for the downtown weekday lunch seeking crowd!!! It's tucked away in the Monadnock building but y'all it's cute, it's cozy, run by a sweet couple, the sandwiches hit the spot, and they are a local Chicago business that's been around for DECADES. please show some love to Harry's sandwich shop, imma start going for breakfast regularly!!!

Torpedo sandwich!! Really good place! Delish sandwich highly recommended if you come visit Chicago!

Small spot you could casually pick up food and walk to if you're around downtown. Lots of cheese and sauce with a beautiful baguette to remind you that this place makes pizza too. Dough, cheese, and sauce are what this place really excels in. It's no surprise that they do it well across the board. Out of the sandwiches I tried, the gardinera pairs the best with the Drunken Chicken sandwich. I'm unsure if my hunger pangs were amplifying my experience, but this sandwich was something of legends... The ingredients combo into something a little too unfair to not be distributed to the rest of America. The food really feels special when you have it late night after a really long day of fun. The people are casual and nice and didn't make it awkward to eat there even though the place itself is quite small. Considering cops came in to order here out of all the places around, I can see how anyone could make this their staple spot.

It is shareable and hearty. The bread is so good. It's crusty and soft on the inside. It allows the right amount of sauce to soak in without being a giant mess. I don't consider it a save half and eat later sandwich though. In my experience it loses a bit of structure if not eaten right away. I have had the turkey, tuna, and meatball sandwich as well. All good and able to split into 2 meals and they save well. As mentioned, this spot is on repeat for me and haven't disliked anything. The pizza is ok but I wouldn't choose it as my pizza spot. There are better but if you are in a pinch a single slice option is nice. I enjoy the little Tiramisu cup. Perfect size. If you normally scroll by and wonder if you should try Nonna's go ahead. It's a good option.

The Italian is also delicious and is giving your classic Italian sub sandwich. But the Mr. G is what Im ordering again! I heard the bread is supplied by Damatos Bakery so thats definitely a plus! I decided to cross over & check out this old world Italian Deli. Conti Di Savoia is small Italian grocery store w/an Italian deli that has w/outstanding & inexpensive sandwiches. When I went in there was a line of people waiting @ the deli counter waiting to place their order. I must have looked confused because the owner directed me & told the line started on the other side towards the back of the store. What I found was an awesome of fresh handmade sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I ordered an 8" pastrami w/mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onions, mayo, & Italian oil drizzled. What I got was an awesome inexpensive sandwich loaded with/fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. After I got my sandwich the owner (I introduced myself (I think his name was Mike) rang up the sandwich. He said they have been there for 35 years. There's also a small dining area in the front of the store where I sat & devoured my sandwich. Like I said this is small Italian store w/a nice selection of products like meats, cheeses, pastas, wine, olive & deli items. I throughly enjoyed finding Conte Di Savoia. The pastrami sandwich was awesome w/a generous portion of pastrami & toppings for a reasonable price. I'm the type of person who who loves finding new places to eat.
