Had to come try this out after seeing it reviewed multiple times. The store itself is really cool. Very straight forward menu and the wait was shorter than expected with the line that was inside. I really wanted to love this sandwich, but really I thought it was just okay. Seems to be mostly bread with a little of everything else. It sufficed for a pool day.

I've been trying to come here for a while, but it's always packed. This time we showed up right when they opened, and yeah... worth it. Still busy, but manageable. I walked in and the incredible smell hit me, all the meats and bread on display, everything looks fresh. The crew behind the counter was top notch, super friendly and on it. Menu has a lot, but for my first time I went with the Italian. Hot capicola, Genoa salami, hard salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, oregano. First bite... everything just came together. The meats were layered perfectly, salty, a little spicy from the capicola, super flavorful. The provolone added that creamy, slightly sharp bite. Bread had a nice chew on the outside but soft inside, held everything without falling apart. The vinegar and oregano gave it that tang and freshness that cuts through all the richness. Nothing felt too heavy, just balanced. It's one of those sandwiches you don't wanna put down halfway through. I'll definitely be back to try more.

Really good food and service. Nice dining area outside. I tried the Mr. Gs option which is good. The meats were great. I'd just would have liked there to be more giardiniera, olive oil + vinegar, and/or banana peppers and jalapeños additions. The sandwich wasn't too dry but more of those would make it more flavorful.

FRANK IS THE MAN! Right on the corner of Randolph and Peoria in the heart of Fulton! If you want a traditional as you can get deli, come to JPs. Fresh and quality ingredients, great portions, and they bake their breads daily. Service was prompt, great experience. Thanks JP team!

Wow the veggie sandwich here is incredible. Seasoned well but still feels so fresh and light. Highly recommend!

LOVED my roast beef sandwich here. And loved even more that the staff was friendly. You order at the counter, and then you go pay for your order at a little booth at the end of the restaurant. Our sandwiches came out quickly, and they allowed a lot of customizations on them. The bread was really fresh from The Publican, and the meat quality was really good. They also checked in on us as we were eating to make sure everything was good. I love the local versions of chips. They have, that was an awesome addition. The sandwich is enough to last you for two meals, it's huge! We were happy to share one. It's kind of a crowded deli, but they have outside seeing to help.

I've worked in the area for awhile and have always wanted to go to Graziano's. I finally came in and I'm not sure why I was always intimidated by the longer lines. The line goes fast and the wait for your sandwhich isn't really long at all. While waiting for my order, I appreciated the no frills decor and character of the store. For my first time, I had the Mr. G. It was delicious and it was hitting all angles. Salty, tangy and carby! The sandwhich was plenty to share with someone, but I saved the other half for lunch the next day. I can't wait to get back to try other items on the menu.

    Classic Chicago sandwich joint.

Their sandwiches are TO DIE FOR, that is all, just go here. Get you a Hot Italian, from the Friendly Italians making the sandwiches. This place is old school, and just perfect. I've also tried the Muffaletta, and that one is savory and tasty as well. The Italian has my heart though - and these are BIG sandwiches, you could split one and be fine. But get one to eat and one to take home, great idea!!! They're good the next day too - I know this. The day we were in, there was a guy debuting his new brand of garlic hummus, and it was SO GOOD. They carry it there, so go get you some. I'm lucky to work nearby, so it's a more frequent lunch these days, and for that I am super grateful. MY GAWD, THOSE SANDWICHES ARE GREAT.

Kind service. Fast service. Makes a big difference. I ordered the a sandwich with turkey and roast beef on it. Mild giardinieria. Didn't taste spicy at all. Meat was high quality as was the cheese I had provolone. I also tried the muffuletta this time with spicy mix. It definitely has a kick. First time trying one. Overall they make a good sandwich. If I'm in the area, and wanting a sandwich I would go again. UPDATE: 9/23 I took the muffaletta sandwich home. I cut it into 4. It tastes better everyday. Something about the juices soaking into the bread. 5/5

I visited J.P. Graziano's pick up window and was so excited to try the sandwiches given the number of absolutely raving reviews. I ordered the turkey sandwich, and my husband went for the Italian. While both were fine, service was good and we appreciated being able to eat on their patio on a nice summer day, honestly, the sandwiches didn't quite live up to the hype for us. The flavors felt standard, and the sandwiches didn't have that wow factor we were waiting for. That said, the giardiniera was amazing, and I'd say my favorite in Chicago. I would go back just to buy that (they sell it!) Overall, it is a solid spot, but if you're expecting an unforgettable sandwich experience, I'd say keep an open mind and maybe come for the giardiniera first.

This's our first time coming to this place. We've been wanted to try it for a long time. You order from th front, and pay at the cashier in the back. They do have seatings available inside and small selection of Italian groceries. They do have a good amount of selection on their menu. We got the muffuletta and the Mr G sandwiches. They ran out of the bread for the muffuletta sandwich, so I just got it with the French bread. The sandwiches are good, but probably not something I would go out of my way to get it. There are street parking around!

My friends and I were visiting Chicago for the first time in May, and stopped by for a sandwich which was amazing! Very flavorful , and the owners were very nice and welcoming, they gave us free cannolis! Would recommend if you're visiting and in the area

Classic and iconic, on every top sandwich list on every platform. Usually you have to wait but today was fairly quick. Local bread, all cold sandwiches, simple menu, fresh ingredients, friendly but fast talking staff, moving and shaking to feed the masses! Great space, old school Italian grocery feel, a few tables for a dine in experience.

With a recommendation like that, I was ready to try anything. Parking can be a challenge in Chicago, but they had a lot in the rear of the restaurant, which was nearly empty. I strolled around to the front and walked in. I wasn't ready for it to be a cafeteria-style eatery, but it really didn't matter. The ambience was kind of cute. Lots of black and white tiles for a retro feel and some historical pictures of the founder. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup lunch special. Matzah ball was my choice of soup and my half sandwich looked huge. I was ready. I tasted the soup first. The broth was clear, and the matzah ball was large. I like hard matzah balls and soft, so it didn't matter to me which it was. What surprised me was the lack of chicken soup flavor. The matzah ball was spongy and not particularly tasty. On to the sandwich. The first thing I noticed was that the carver didn't pull a chunk out of a steam cabinet. They had a slicing machine running constantly forming a mound from which the carver grabbed a handful of corned beef, then a handful of pastrami, which had already been sliced and griddled to add to the corned beef. I asked about the smallest size side of chopped liver they could offer and he gave me a tiny chilled dose sized cup of liver pulled out of the fridge. So far I wasn't impressed. The chopped liver tasted very good but it was hand chopped and in large pieces with very little schmaltz. The sandwhich wasn't anything special. Not hot, not piled and the pickle was a kosher dill, not a half sour. I left half of my half sandwich, the pickle (except for the one bite), and even some chopped liver. For the cost of this average lunch , I would have rather eaten at my favorite deli in Atlanta and had tongue which wasn't even on the menu at Manny's.
