I had a pesky roof leak over my garage. The roof is 22 years old and I suspected that the valley near the leak had clogged up with debri. I called Hart Roofing and Hart came out the same day. He confirmed what I thought and showed me that the valley on the roof was near nonexistent. He had his helper pull up a couple tiles and he took pictures of some of the issues that was causing the leak. He then gave a me a decent qoute. A few days later he sent out a good crew that was well equiped. They took out the rotted underlayment and replaced it. They then redid the tile and installed a nice straight valley. I contacted this company to see if they could do a roof inspection. They told me they would be able to provide an estimate on Thursday April 7th with an arrival time between 9-2pm. On Wednesday April 6th, I texted them confirming that someone was going to show up the next day. The company replied "Yes, I'll text you when in route". Today's April 7th and I've been sitting here all day waiting for their notification that they're on their way. I text them at 1:45 asking if someone was still planning on coming as it was almost 2pm. Their response was "Sorry, the appointment didn't make it to my calendar. I can reschedule for tomorrow." Why the HELL would I trust you with my roof if you can't even remember to add an appointment to your calendar AFTER I ALREADY CONFIRMED THIS WITH YOU THE DAY PRIOR?? Thank you for showing me your incompetence. This company is the last one I want working on my roof. A complete waste of my time. It's pretty hilarious that you have enough time to immediately respond to Yelp reviews yet you couldn't remember to show up for a job AFTER (me, the CUSTOMER), text you to confirm the appointment 24 hours prior. And thank you for offering to reschedule to come out the following day but I already TOOK TODAY OFF to be here for YOU. Why would I take ANOTHER DAY OFF from work to accommodate someone who's already shown me he's a flake? Had roof repaired by Hart Roofing two winters ago in January 2019. Still standing strong - no leaks. - Had underlayment changed with heave duty and double layered one. - Has closed valleys widened - required cutting tiles. - Flat valleys leveled with underlayment changed and extended to walls. - Repaired seals on all vents. - Some broken tiles replaced + more. What is appreciated the most: - Quick and fair initial estimate. - Hart(owner) explaining to me the issues with closed valleys and flat valleys and how they'd fix them, and why fixing them in that particular way, materials used. - After taking of some of the tiles to get initially estimated work done and discovering that flat valley needed underlayment repairs (rotted out steal with holes in it due to standing water) - team did not leave it off - but communicated the necessity of repairing and risks if not - back to me. It did increase the initial estimate - but that particular damage was not possible to see until the work started and the team got to that flat valley. - I was on the roof with Hart(owner) for initial estimate and for newly discovered issues during roofing work. The scope of work was clear. - Warranty (even though there was no need to use it yet) - Payment was easy. - Finally, guidance on how to maintain the roof after repairs. I called Hart Roofing after Home Inspection revealed there was a slipped tile and two broken tiles on our home we had for sale. Hart replied promptly and provided a reasonable quote for the repairs to be made. After the thanksgiving rains we found we had a couple areas on our roof that needed repair. We were referred to a company that ended up not responding to our calls. The next contractor came out but the estimator never even got up on the roof to see what was really happening up there and yet based on the age of our home recommended an entire roof replacement. Hart showed up and walked the entire roof, took pictures of the issues that needed to be addressed. He told us that other than these couple of areas that had broken tiles and rotting paper the rest of the roof had more years left in it. His quote was very reasonable. We thought we'd be waiting 2 to 3 weeks to get the work done, but miraculously he fit us on within 2 days of our acceptance of the quote. The crew was amazing, efficient, friendly got the job done in 1 day. When they were done they cleaned up so well you couldn't tell they'd been there. Reasonable Prices, honest to a fault, excellent work, and great reviews that didn't disappoint. I had a 70 year old house with original shingles and a second layer of composite on top that needed a full replacement including new plywood. After obtaining several quotes, I settled on Hart's Roofing because their price was competitive, they had great reviews, and they seemed very knowledgeable. I requested several upgrades like thicker plywood, additional vents, etc., and they were happy to comply. They were booked through Fall and we had to wait through the rainy season because my entire roof was being ripped apart. During that period of the pandemic, the cost of plywood skyrocketed, but they never complained or asked for additional money. I also asked them to check and repair the venting screens under my eaves, which they happily did at no extra charge. The crew showed up right on time and everyone was very friendly and considerate throughout the entire process. They did a wonderful job and kept the mess to a minimum. They also went an extra step beyond what many roofers will do, disassembling the roof dormers so the roofing could be run underneath rather than just bringing it up to the edge. My roof looks wonderful now and although I don't plan on having to do any more work on it at this point, if I do, I will definitely call Hart's again to do the job. read more

The work team showed up on time and did great work cleaning up the area. The work needed a second day to be thorough and follow up on a bit of extra work we found that needed addressing. We called a lot of roofers and finally was able to get quotes from three. We decided to go with Hart because he didn't try to upsell us on materials or anything. He explained they were extremely busy and it would probably be four weeks or more to repair our huge leak by the fireplace. Hart called us two weeks early and his men were able to repair a huge area of the roof. His men were professional, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. My husband was even able to watch and learn why it leaked in the first place. Sine we have only lived in this house for a year and a half. They gave my husband tips on the type of gutters we need on the second floor to reduce the water flow into that specific area. We expected the cost to be slightly more than the quote and would have still been happy. However, Hart's quote was spot on. I have been recommending them to our friends and would use Hart again. They removed all the tiles and placed new synthetic paper, replaced the tiles which included replacing the broken tiles and moving paint splattered tiles to less visible location. They replaced some of the facia boards as needed. Worked closely with our building inspector who required additional work. Afterwards it looked like a new roof! They were conscious. Never leaving for the day with exposed paper. Always keeping the site as clean as possible. The job took longer than expected, but did not hear any complaining nor any change orders.
