As an anxious adult that has postponed wisdom teeth removal for 10 years, Dr. Fenton's office was…read morethe perfect place to go when my wisdom teeth started causing issues. The office waiting area is very cozy and everything seemed meticulously clean. Poster stating no pictures or videos could be taken to protect HIPPA laws and which is understandable. My consultation was quite straightforward and Dr. Fenton and his assistant explained any complications that may arise, talked through my xrays with me and provided information on alternate pain management methods for recovering (Exparel injection & SockIt Gel) vs opioids. Before I left the office my estimated cost was explained to me (due in full same day as procedure). 3 days before the procedure I received a text with information and reminders on how to prepare for IV sedation. Dr.Fenton also sent a prescription for ibuprofen & acetaminophen to the pharmacy so I would have them ready to go. Fast forward to my procedure date, I chose IV sedation plus the optional Exparel injection. I was brought back to the extraction room and 2 of the assistants asked my choice of music for the procedure, hooked me up to monitors while making everything feel less daunting. First they started with laughing gas and then Dr. Fenton set up the IV and next thing I remember, I'm waking up from the greatest slumber. My husband had already received detailed post care instructions so as soon as I was done with observation I was walked out to our car and ready to rest. Dr. Fenton also called me later that evening to check up on me which was a nice personal touch. RECOMMEND you opt for the Exparel shot if it is within your financial means, I'm on day 2 of recovery and feel no pain. (this is my experience only and I do have a high pain tolerance... do your own research). *If you have had nausea before from any procedure you can let them know so they can give you some Zofran along with the IV. Overall great experience but glad I don't ever have to do it again lol

FOR A CLEANING. They said they could do it for $127 without the exam/flouride. Nice of them, right? Not so much--I don't need the exam after all of the work I had in January. So they basically want to charge $127 just to clean my teeth when that's supposed to be preventative. I told Nicole I didn't think that was right and she told me to have a great day. What a joke. Zero customer service---not to mention they never told me ahead of time so I just drove a half an hour for nothing. I should have listened to my gut and never tried to use them in the first place. What a nasty business they run. Absolutely disgusting. Also-- I double checked what a cleaning costs without insurance-- $125 and they wanted to charge me $257 WITH insurance. Then they write some generic response to my review--looks like they have a lot of 1 star reviews to tend to though. This is the absolute last place I would EVER recommend to anyone.

My insurance told me they never heard of such a thing. They told me that they have to submit the estimate first and they pay after the work is done. I would not recommend them. I recently found out that there is a class action lawsuit against them for deceiving patients.

The provider took insurance information but did not disclose they are an out of network provider. At the consultation, CTMAX did a cone beam x-ray that is not covered by our insurance but did not disclose this and did not advise prior to doing the x-ray that there would be any out of pocket costs. After completing the x-ray, they charged $295. We anticipate receiving additional bills for the consultation based on the provider being out of network. When we couldn't afford to pay out of pocket for the recommended oral surgery because the office is an out of network provider, they refused to refer anywhere else so my husband could receive care timely. Do not recommend CTMAX. They are an absolutely unethical and unprofessional dental office poised to take advantage of clients in need of care.

Luckily a technician caught it when I was sitting in the chair about to get anesthesia. I could have aspirated during anesthesia and choked. Also problems with the billing person, Mae. She wasn't responding to the insurance company request for additional information to process the claim. Also, the doctor wrote in my chart that I had 52 minutes of anesthesia when I didn't! They billed insurance for it. Even though they made me pay for it up front. When I told Mae I didn't have anesthesia she didn't believe me and wasn't going to give me the refund I was told I would get since I didn't have it. All around a very negative experience.

Today, I can answer that question with "this morning". I had two chompers that my regular dentist said would be problematic for him to yank, so he referred me to the Big Boys at Avon Oral, Facial and Dental Implant Surgery. They treated me very well. I had originally made an appointment to have this done in March 2020, but that nasty Coronavirus cancelled that appointment for me. I needed a consult first, and that took place about a month ago. That's when I met the extraordinary Doctor Daniel Gill, he looked at my X-rays, offered me three different anesthesia options, explained the whole upcoming process, and made me feel like I had a real voice in what we were going to do. He has terrific communication skills. Today's procedure again showcased Dr. Gill's customer service and medical skill. He explained every little thing he was doing as if he was a play-by-play announcer - "you'll feel a little pinch, feel some pressure, hear some crunching", etc. He was assisted by two helpers -Erica and someone whose name escapes me. They were both fabulous. When the deed was done, I can honestly say it wasn't bad at all. So, my experience in the dentist chair was excellent. I left with a comprehensive list of follow-up care instructions, two packs of gauze, and an Rx for pain management. Thank you, Dr. Gill and team -you were great.
