I ordered grapes vines from harvest express and all of them were dead because the vines were dried since the day of delivery. it was a 7 day FedEx delivery and the plastic bag was dry but I still planted them as per instruction paper that they sent with the box and after almost two months I have dead sticks in the ground. I sent them an email and they responded by asking for pictures and after I sent them the pictures they went dead silent I haven't heard anything from them since I sent the pictures and I resent them pictures again but the haven't responded back. bad company to do business with no wonder they have low star rating. read more

This is absolutely the worst company for customer service. I ordered grapevines last year and asked them to be delivered in February 2020. I received an email from FedX that they were to be shipped 2/7. No delivery and as of today still not delivered or shipped as of 20 days later. I've left numerous messages via email and phone. Although I got a live person with my 2nd call as of today my last 4 emails and 3 voicemails have not been answered. Is anyone else experiencing the same? Do you yourself a service because you will not be getting any from Harvest Express. I'd recommend purchasing your vines elsewhere. I purchased 5 vines of which 2 died. Repeated calls, one for instruction, no response and others on getting replacement vines sent. Long story short, one short blunt email response from Bradley asking to measure and send pictures of the vine which I did. Again I'm not surprised but no response after sending 3-4 emails on status and along with a voicemail. Bradley in customer service will never pick up. Very terrible customer service. read more

OK I ordered from here, then found these reviews. They do have poor communication, as in no communication. So I sent them an email and called and left a message stating that I had not heard from them and that if I did not get a response from them in a week I was going to dispute the charges on my card as a scam. The next day I got a brief email informing me they would send my order out next week. The following week I check the online shipping status that said pending all week. I figured I would wait till after the week end to do something, then Tuesday my order showed up. The status was not updated until the day after my order arrived. The order was packaged well in 2 bundles for the 2 types of vines I purchased. along with the extra grow tubes I purchased. I planted them, and it has only been 60 or so days but all but 2 of the vines are well on their way. So as a follow up This companies communication could use some TLC, but they do deliver products that are as described and they provide good value for the money. read more

Wish I read the reviews before ordering. All 5 cab francs died. I followed instructions by Brad: sent photos, was told they would ship new ones in summer. Did not ship new ones then. On 6/1/2019 I purchased 20 vines from Harvest Express and some trellis equipment that was never delivered. From 6/2/2019 through 7/1/2019 I emailed Harvest Express 9 times and called a similar 9x per their website contact information to inquire on the trellis equipment and to file a claim for 18 of the 20 vines that did not grow (only the Concord Variety survived). I finally received one email from them on 7/1/2019 that simply said he will refund the trellis equipment since it was never delivered. From 7/2/2019 through 7/19/2019 I emailed another 10x and called a similar 10x to follow up on refund or replacement of the 18 vines that did not grow. On 7/4/2019 & 7/6/2019 I received a communication from them that "we do not offer refunds. Our sales agreement clearly states replacements only." I was fine with having the vines replaced but he has not followed through with his warranty and I have not heard from him since his 7/6/2019 email communication. Since I last heard from them I have tried to communicate another 6x via email and similar number of times via phone. He is clearly evading communication to evade replacement of his product and this is simply not right. The company has stolen money from me and I have been left with nothing but 2 growing Concord vines and 18 dead sticks for $300. It is not even about the money for me. It is the principal that this company steals from their customers by evasion tactics. This has happened to a number of people according to Yelp reviews and similar BBB complaints, and they simply do not care. They may fear legal recourse from large companies they may do business with but the average consumer is most vulnerable doing business with this company. Even if the average consumer files a small claims against them, they have no motivation to improve their customer service or have any incentive to simply reply and make good on their own warranty. I've been waiting all this time thinking that I would have replacement vines shipped to me so I don't miss out on this years growing season. Unfortunately, this late in the season, I have no choice now but to purchase replacement vines from a different company and hope that they survive the winter for next years growing season. In conclusion, this business has no customer service. The only contact information is a phone number for a guy who does not reply to emails or phone calls efficiently or at all. There is no functional mechanism to file a claim when their product fails to grow. They claim they will replace vines that do not grow yet they evade following through with their warranty by simply not replying to customer inquiries. This is not right and they stand to profit by this practice. They take advantage of customers who don't have the time to waste filing a complaint to anyone and are effectively stealing money by shipping dead vines and not replacing them with live ones when they do not grow. They simply do not follow through with their warranty. My order for Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapevines was planted per instructions back in April 2020. Only one out of five vines sprouted leaves. The rest seem to be dead. And before you suggest it was "our" fault we have 4,500 other vines we have ordered from another company and NOT ONE HAS DIED. So it's easy to say we know what we are doing here. I wanted 2 table grapevines for my backyard, one green and one red. I read the web site material, selected my varieties and ordered, including planting sleeves. The vines were shipped promptly and seemed very strong ("dead sticks" but had good roots going) and well packed. I followed the planting instructions which were packed in with the vines. Both vines sprouted and are growing. I am super pleased and would order again. read more

Avoid Harvest Express at all costs. Brad will promise you things and then not deliver! When my order arrived it was obviously seconds or thirds from another grower, as some of the vines were tiny with little roots. I ended up having only 70% success and when I contacted Brad the owner he got an attitude and didn't want to replace the dead vines. When I finally got him to send some replacements I'm now finding out (with their fruit) that they were mislabeled and NOT the variety I had originally purchased or what he promised. I own a small winery and worked to expand my vineyard. I ordered 80 vines, five (5) of which didn't take. Per their refund policy I requested replacement to which they replied they would do in the Spring. Upon contacting them to determine when they would arrive, they ignored my many phone calls and emails. Their customer service is horrific so please stay away from this company. i have ordered 9 grape vines from their website. it arrived but in brown and dead condition. upon my complain, they sent me some partial replacement. but, it is all dead and brown by the time it arrived my home and i live in southern california region. this time, i sent some photos showing the dry and brown condition under the trunk skin (removed a small tiny skin on the trunk, per advice by my gardener) and it has no any shade of green, unlike the other vines shipment from other nursery. after sending many emails and still receive no response. they got a beautiful website and testimonies just to deceive new customers like me. so very unfortunately ... ! do not advice you buy from them...! davidian read more

If everything goes well np; however if you have an issue with your order (missing item) or if you need advice or replacement vines, they do not or cannot support their customers. I left v-messages and emailed 6 times over a two week period and got zero response from them. I ordered six plants from Harvest Express. They came 2 weeks later. One had buds, the other 5 none. I emailed them that info, since I thought there were too long in transit, and I was told to plant them, and they will grow. I followed the planting instructions correctly, but in the end I've got only two plants to grow (the one with buds, and only one of the other five, without buds). I send them 3 times emails, but nobody cared to answer. Called them, impossible to get someone on the phone. Bad experience. In the end I paid $99.59 for two plants...Not fair! read more

I wished there was an option for "zero" stars because this is what this business deserves. The grape vines are described as "cold hardy". Out of 100 grape vines, only 7 make it though the winter. I call Brad (I guess he's the owner) and he claims that this is a risk you take when you buy plants. OK, but not with this high failure percentage. We have thousands of trees and hundreds of grape vines. We never experienced anything like this. Brad responded to one call (out of at least 6 or 7) and he agreed to replace the grape vines at a discount taking into consideration that he misrepresented his product. It stops there and he no longer responds to e-mails or calls no matter how many times you call. Very immature and unprofessional behavior. Steer clear of Harvest Express and save your money especially if you live in areas that have cold weather. I wasted money and time dealing with Brad and it won't happen again. There are many other nurseries that sell grape vines for less money and better varieties. Wait a minute.. I am sounding like a broken record! I am in agreement, Do not buy from this company. I ordered three vines. When I got notification of when they would be delivered I was going to be out of town, so I contacted their sales staff and asked them to delay shipment for a week. I received a response they were late in shipping do to weather but would still send my order as scheduled but if I had any problems they would replace the vines. Two of the three vines grew with no problem. I requested a replacement of the third vine. After several emails going back-and-forth about the situation they finally agreed to send the replacement vine. After a month of not receiving the vine I contacted both the sales staff and the replacement contact. No response from either group. After a few more weeks I wrote another email indicating I had read the other yelp reviews where they did not contact customers or replace vines and I questioned their customer service, honesty and integrity of the company. Interestingly enough after this email, I immediately received an extremely rude voicemail indicating they would ship the vine but to please take my business elsewhere in the future. I did receive vine two days later. Isn't it sad that they couldn't have just provided the customer service they committed to from the beginning and replaced the vine. Hopefully they will start paying attention to the reviews and improve their customer service. read more
