On the first day I was in hospital for scheduled induction, she had 24-hour duty, went home to sleep and didnt return till i was into 37 hours on Pitocin. She poked my water without my permission, and caused me infection and my baby heart rate dropped into dangerous situations where I could only accept C section. She scolded me not to cry before entering the operation room, not worthy of crying?! while my life and my baby's life were in her hands. Only for a couple hundred dollars more, she wants a surgery instead of natural birth. For an insurance covered procedure, she lied to me its cosmetic, I paid her cash and extra. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.

She listens to your concerns, is extremely knowledgeable and has amazing bedside manner. Let's face it, no one jumps for joy over the idea of getting a pap - and some of us have had downright traumatic experiences in the past - but with Dr. Chang you can rest assured that it will be a breeze! It was over before I even knew it and it didn't even feel the least bit uncomfortable. She will also perform an ultrasound to ensure that your ovaries and uterus are structurally sound and there's no underlying issues which is a nice touch, especially since you don't need to schedule another visit solely for this as it's done in office by Dr.Chang herself! I'm so glad to have found her - a good OBGYN that makes you feel safe and comfortable is so hard to find these days but Dr. Chang is proof that they still exist!

My family and I feel very grateful to have Dr. Chiang as my OB-GYN. When I was in the hospital, he came to check on me almost every day. He has a lot of experience, very strict but also very friendly, and if you follow his instructions carefully, you'll be fine. I also had a little trouble during my pregnancy and had to call his hotline at 5 a.m. Both times, the doctor answered quickly and gave advice right away. The staff are nice too. They do their jobs well and were very patient when working with our private health insurance. I am generally very shy and get nervous easily in many situations, but I had a great experience with the doctor and his staff. Being pregnant is not easy, but they made it better. I don't think he cares about the feeling of the patients. I asked if I can have c section for some reason, he didn't look at my file and shouted in the office saying I am the one who can decide, not you! He didn't show out his rudeness until it is too late for us to change the doctor! Don't go to him, he is going to ruin your pregnancy and delivery. He was very emotional and can't control his own emotion at all. I am not sure if he had bad experience with some other patients before, but this could not be the reason for him to be rude! He lost temper easily and yelled at the patient for no reason. He is also seeing too many patients at the same time, each time is in a rush, you don't feel that you were cared at all! Very bad experience with him! I regret having him as my ob, it has brought a lot of trouble and painful memories to me.

I hadn't been in the office for quite a while and there have been a lot of changes, new suite, new staff, bigger in a lot of ways. I definitely missed the friendly/family style of the old front desk, now it's much more business/professional. Dr Gau made up for it though, I think she's taking over a lot of Dr Roses patients and I think Dr Rose chose well. Though I've only met Dr Gau once, she still made it a point to make it feel like she was happy to see me and has the same sort of interested, attentive, confident posture that Dr Rose has. I would highly recommend this office, because of Dr Rose and Dr Gau. They ran my insurance AND charged me $300, for Absolutely NOTHING!!! I informed front desk that I specifically asked about blood-work and they said they would talk to their front desk. I asked for a refund and they never called me back.

Getting a hold of someone whenever I have questions have never been easier. Not only do they pickup the phone call in a timely manner, but I was never in a longer hold. A few instances happened when they were busy, but that's understandable. I am always able to message them through my portal. Anything urgent, they are on top of it. Luckily I only had 2 events when this happened. From getting my labs to any test I needed, this clinic had been a breeze! I've called several other clinics before finding out about FOWH and the rest either never pickup or they're so disorganized and unhelpful during a phone consult. The sonographers that we've had were always kind, timely and helpful. We have had some questions and they're so wonderful in addressing them. Biggest shoutout to our Dr. Mitri. He is empathetic, highly knowledgeable and is just a good human being. He pays attention to every detail, he doesn't miss any question we have and he's very good at responding to our out-of-office messages/questions. His bedside manners are exceptional. He is respectful, has a good sense of humor and does his job really well. We're so happy to be a patient at FOWH and we appreciate the staff for being great! We look forward to every visit we have.

I was in the very early stage of pregnancy when I first went to see him. Since I did not know my…read morecycle well, he told me I seemed to be about 2 to 3 weeks pregnant. From what I understood, at that stage it is usually too early to see anything through an abdominal ultrasound, and a cervical ultrasound would normally be needed. However, he examined me through my stomach and even said he could see a tiny dot that was supposed to be the gestational sac. I felt suspicious, but because he was the doctor and it was my first pregnancy, I let it go. I had a short flight planned for a vacation, so I specifically asked him whether it was safe for me to travel, and he said it was fine. During the trip, I started having severe bleeding. I was in another state, panicking, and could not just walk into his office. I called him and the nurse, since they had my chart and should have known my situation and how far along I was. I even checked the office hours before calling to make sure they were still open. The only answer I got was, "The office is closed. Call back on Monday." It was Saturday, and according to their posted hours, the office was supposed to still be open. I was not expecting anyone to magically stop the bleeding over the phone. I simply wanted basic guidance about whether this was an emergency and what I should do next. I was terrified and almost fainted from panic. Eventually, I went to a nearby urgent care, where I found out it was a chemical pregnancy and that I had miscarried. I was furious at how both the doctor and the nurses handled everything. I still cannot understand how a doctor could respond to a desperate patient like that. What made it even worse was what happened afterward. When I called later to cancel my next appointment because of the miscarriage, I was hoping for at least a little compassion, maybe something like, "I'm sorry to hear that. Please take care." Instead, the nurse simply said, "You want to cancel? Okay, bye." Please do not go here. This place is the worst. I still do not understand how he has such high reviews. My experience was horrible.

I later discovered a facility in Alhambra featuring the OBGYN, Dr. Foong. I felt guided to this facility. I enjoyed the visit, and I will for sure remember this moment. Dr. Foong knows exactly what he is talking about; he is very straightforward, and values his patients time. I appreciate the great team managing the front office. The waiting room is quite big, and therapeutic to wait in. Although, I wanted to keep my first pregnancy as a surprise, I believe things unfolded the way it did for a reason-- Everything was divinely orchestrated. Plus, I get to save a lot of money! ‍ Additionally, Dr. Foong is pretty spot on and precisely close with his prediction; I was already going to deliver a little before thanksgiving. He did an amazing job delivering my baby, and I'm so grateful he did because he was reassuring and strong throughout the process; he also has a sense of humor which made my experience lighter. My husband loves him, and insisted that he delivers ours in the future. LOL safe to say, I picked the right doctor to experience my maternity journey with. Hopefully be back, again.
