They didn't mention anything about IVF on the call or when i fill out their stupid repetitive forms. IVF treatment is a very individualized and case by case depending on pt situation, I saw few negative reviews attacking Dr. Wang medical charges and practices, those make me want to write a true, legit and sincere review from my side of the story. For the cost - If you have insurance to cover IVF medication, then obvious you don't feel frustrated about why Dr . Wang wrongfully charged, since I'm cash pt, Dr. Wang always provide free medications related to IVF tx also offering GoodRX discount coupon to me. For the Professional prospect of Dr. Wang, You might feel she talks really direct, but she really knows what she is doing!!! Long story short, I only went through 2 cycles and eventually I got my precious, healthy, and pretty baby boy. Most of the negative reviews are very aligned with our experience. Very random charge. For example. we spent $45,000 on a single IVF cycle--2-3 times the market price--without even covering basic blood tests or exams. Dr. Wang insisted on cash payments and controlled our access to medications. She prolonged the process by keeping me on hormone medication for five months before egg retrieval, causing severe side effects. At another clinic, I later completed an IVF cycle in three weeks for just over $10,000. It became clear her practices were unreasonable and exploitative. Both surrogates failed their embryo transfers, and we later discovered she had spent months on unnecessary treatments for them, wasting our money. When we ended our cooperation, she refused refunds and provided incomplete, fabricated billing records, only releasing them after legal action. We've since connected with others who've had similar experiences and are now prepared to take legal action. We hope no one else endures what we did. Plz STAY AWAY! I'm deeply concerned about the quality of patient care provided by this doctor. During my visits, I found that the doctor and physician assistant recommended fertility testing and IVF without clear medical justification. In my case, they confirmed infertility as a diagnosis before completing a thorough evaluation. Dr. Wang and her physician assistant have no other thoughts except charging fees. They will prescribe a bunch of irrelevant tests for you. Due to these concerns, I have filed formal complaints with the Medical Board and a lawsuit. Im shocked to hear all the negative complaints. Its clear to me that some people just dont understand the medical field and expects they are entitled to be treated as if they are presidential class! This is usa people! And our heathcare system is best as it can get. Im in the medical profession and a patient and has been a patient for over 10 yrs now and all i can say is that doctors and medical staff are humans too!! There are urgencies and emergencies. I also can't say enough good things about Dr. Wang! She has been my doctor since 2010 when I got pregnant with my son. I have since returned to try to get pregnant with a second baby! Because of my age it's been a little more difficult however, she's always been forthcoming with me about my chances of conceiving a second child. She hasn't given up on me, and for that I'm eternally grateful to her! After reading some of the negative posts it prompted me to write the truth about my experiences with Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang has always been extremely patient with me. Including taking the time to explain in detail which medication I need for every procedure I've undergone. This includes her staff calling to notify me when I need to add or discontinue a certain medicine at all hours, as needed. I also want to add that Dr. Wang has seen me in her office on holidays and Sunday's if need be. I don't know of any other Doctor who would do that for their patients. It was our first time and we were told to proceed with the IVF even only with 3 eggs. Pain and money spent, it did not success. The other doctor we saw were astonished after hearing our story and we learned that it has to be at least 12 eggs to proceed with IVF. How unprofessional it is! Also, we were prescript with excess medicine to the point we only used less than 1/5 of the total. We spent a lot of money, went through painful process and in the end we feel being unprofessionally treated and being viewed as merely means of profiting. My mother met Dr. Wang when they worked together at a hospital near downtown. She was a patient of Dr. Wang's for many years. Dr. Wang was also my OB/GYN until I switched to Kaiser. When I changed insurance recently, I returned to Dr. Wang. Thank goodness she is still accepting new patients. Dr. Wang is a gifted physician who puts her patients first. My mother told me that long after the other doctors had gone for the day, Dr. Wang would still be making rounds, often late into the evening. She is everything you hope to find in a doctor - highly skilled, thoughtful, and experienced. There's not much she has not seen, so she can identify a problem right away and prescribe the most effective treatment. Though she can give a spot-on diagnosis in seconds, she still takes the time to ask how you're doing and discuss your overall well-being. She does more than treat symptoms; she considers the whole person. Not just because it is good practice, but because she genuinely cares. I found this place through my insurance company's website. I called in and was able to get an appointment for the same day. I let them know that i was a new patient looking to get confirmation of a pregnancy after taking multiple home tests that showed positive. I gave them my insurance information and everything seem to go smoothly over the phone. I get there and they just appeared clueless about my appointment. Their english isn't the best, and they just seemed confused. I had to go over the reason for my visit and all my details once again, which only made my annoyance grow the longer I had to wait. They continued to have me wait while they confirm my insurance to only tell me that my insurance will not cover the visit and i would have to pay $100+ before i see the doctor. They then tell me that they are a fertility specialist and my insurance does not cover it. Again, I explained the reason why I was there, and they just seemed like they had no recollection of the phone conversation that morning where I explained what I needed. Overall, I wasted an hour of my time and ended up going to a different doctor with a much cleaner, more professional office that my insurance had no problem with. read more

Dr. Wang and her office staffs are uncaring and unprofessional. Her staffs chat loudly in the front office about their personal lives and about patient details. First time meeting Dr. Wang, she walked in the room in a mad hurry and her first sentence was "what's wrong? What's wrong?" before she introduces herself or greets. I wasn't even sure if she was the doctor or not. I can't comment on her skills or knowledge as a physician, but she definitely does not know how to communicate with patients. In addition, she had a weird smile when she concluded my condition as if I'm about to bring her more money opportunity. I did not have a good experience with this doctor. First, when she came to the room to see me she stood in the doorway of the exam room talking to me; she didn't even bother to close the door for privacy and sit down face to face and talk with me before the exam. She came back in the room to do the exam and talked to me in a way that made me feel like I had caused my condition by diet choices alone. I am open to hearing the doctor's advice on diet factors, but overall I did not feel comfortable discussing it with her. I have a GYN condition and am not immediately concerned about infertility issues since I am not married. I've been there a couple (few) of times. Simply, (1) she explained a semen analysis report for my husband and then realized it was not his at all. Family name was still wrong on his report, anyways.,(2) I was pushed directly for IVF option, while cheaper (and not necessarily useless) IUI was not even mentioned. If I could, I don't even want to give the one star. A family doctor referring me here. I made an appointment for both me and my on the different days. When I made the appointment, I told the front desk and the doctor that me and my mom both need Pap Smear and Mammogram, the doctor said if you never done an Ultrasound, she suggested me do an ultrasound, I said good, let's do it. The doctor told me if we were going to do the Ultrasound the same day, she had to bill me twice but one copay, otherwise I have to do two visits, I said okay, bill me twice. And when my mom got here today, she waited 40 minutes to do the Pap Smear, and done. My mom told me that on the phone, I asked they didn't do Mammogram and Ultrasound for you? She said no. I Said when I made the appointment, that's all included. My mom headed back to the doctor office and asked them what happened? They said they don't do Mammogram here, they have to write my mom a referral for it. And the Ultrasound, if we don't have any illness, they don't do it. Then why don't you tell me at the first place about all these? After we requested, the doctor gave my mom an Ultrasound, and then the doctor said my mom is too over weight for the Ultrasound, my mom only 145 pounds, if she is too over weight for an Ultrasound, then what can Ultrasound do? read more

Not my first time there, and its getting worse. The doctor doesnt know what she's talking about. I went for pap, she was in a hurry and told me she's gotta leave, "hurry hurry I have to go". Me: " but I made an appointment with you today?" she didn't say anything, she spent 5 mins to finish my pap. And spent the most time to introduce me all the other tests I should do without giving me a good reason of what the heck is wrong with me. All she said was because I didn't look very healthy. Where Did you get your freaking degree doctor?????? Then, the front desk people knows nothing besides collecting copay. She was gonna ask me for 40 bucks with my insurance. Then she pretends that someone else wrote it and she misunderstood. Without verifying my insurance coverage just told me to pay everything out of my pocket because "your insurance is not good." words from the nurse and doctor's. The funny thing is, none of them had called my insurance to verify. They know more about insurance allowance than gynecology. I don't trust these people. They are bunch of jokers. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer. Her staff are very caring. It is a busy office and due to the sensitivity of the conditions she is treating in her office, there are often times that most patients just walk in without an appt. Because of how the human body is and the times in which medical intervention is required, an MD has little control who comes in and when. That is most probably why there is usually a long waiting period and the office appears hectic. Dr.Wang has been my GYN for over 10 years. Dr. Wang is very skilled. She takes the time to assure that you are well taken care of. She spends many hours at the office. When patients have needed to call her or to be seen, they can usually find her in the office 365 days a year. Again, her work hours are directed by her patient's needs. Her dedication to her patients cannot be compared. As for the comment from CJ of her smile being interpretted as you "bringing her more money", is unfounded. Dr. Wang does alot of cases where she is not even reimbursed for her services. She does it because she cares and also the fact that some patients have even shared with me that other MDs won't even take the time to take on their case due to low reimbursement so they are glad that there are physicians around who are willing to help them. As for her skills, Dr. Wang has alot of successes in her clinic as this can be seen by alot of the patients who do walk out of her clinic knowing that they are finally having a baby...which Dr. Wang helped bring into the world . read more

I don't know where to start! Every time you have an appointment to see Dr. Wang expect to wait 30minutes to an hour before you are seen. This is standard protocol which I just do not understand. I am a HIGH RISK pregnancy and the doctor has requested to see me every week. The doctor also requested I keep stress level to minimum because stress caused miscarriages. The stress I endured today was beyond stressful and it was caused my Dr. Wang's staff. Today I went in for my usual at visit at 11am and was taken in immediately. I thought to myself and even commented to the staff member Georgia about the short wait time. She told me the doctor was with a patient and would be in shortly. I got undressed and waited from 11-12:30 in the exam room patiently waiting for the doctor to come in. At 12:30 I was going crazy from the long wait time and got dressed and walk to the front desk. The front desk was fully staffed and gave me this look of shock. I asked where the doctor was and their response was "She did not see you?". I was so upset and all the staff could say to me was "Can you wait a few minutes she'll be right back?" Talk about an awful staff and a waste of money the doctor spends every month to keep her office chairs warm. If Dr. Wang wants to expand her business out of San Gabriel to her office she has in the work in Pasadena she needs to fire her staff and get a knowledgable medical staff immediatleley. I had a few miscarriages during the past few years due to abnormal uterus. I visited several infertility doctors, and Dr. Wang is the best. She cares about the patients, answers all the questions with patience. Compared with other doctors, she explained everything very clear with insight. Her strong academic background together with experience make her having a higher successful rate than other doctors. I ended up having a very healthy baby and delivered at 40th weeks. Worst Experience Ever! I scheduled an appointment a week before my visit on 1/11/13. Since I have a back injury, I hired a driver to take me there. However, after waiting patiently for the receptionist to end her personal call, I was told Dr. Wang was not in all day and all appts were cancelled. I was not notified by the office at all! What's worse, the receptionist couldn't find my appt record. Instead of apologizing, she told me to go to a doctor near where I live! I can't believe such unprofessionalism and rudeness. Then she wanted to make a copy of my insurance card which I refused. No office makes a copy of one's insurance card before the visit. Certainly very fishy there. Dr Wang has been my dr for about two years for routine tests and exams. Only bc I had limited options under my insurance. While she is nice enough and seems knowledgeable the office itself is very disorganized and the staff can barely speak or understand English. It's also difficult to get an appointment and once you do expect for it to be rescheduled at the last minute or end up waiting a long time to be seen. I once sat in the exam room for almost an hour waiting to get a routine exam that took less than 15 min. Both staff and dr seemed embarrassed by the wait but from my experience it was expected. For routine patients, I would strongly advise against going through the trouble of dealing with her office unless you don't have better options or you speak Chinese fluently. They are primarily a fertility clinic looking for the most profit and its obvious. Routine patients are their lowest priority. It's now recommended that Pap tests are given every five years, not annually, but they will insist you get the test done every year before you can get a prescription for birth control. This OB is just mean, rude and lacks basic level of integrity as a doctor. December, 2009, my wife and I went through the toughest time in our lives as she went through a very bad miscarriage of what we were hoping to be our 1st born. After consultation with her then OB, we have decided to take an abortion pill as supposed to go through D&C to remove that fetus that had once had strong heart beats but stopped after a few weeks. That decision resulted in my wife experiencing excessive bleeding and she nearly passed out. I rushed her to the ER at San Gabriel Valley hospital in the middle of the night. Long story short, the doctors on duty immediately attempted to call her OB but was not able to reach her. Due to my wife's severe condition, they called Dr. Wang and was able to get her to come to the hospital in the middle of the night. We were grateful, as my wife was suffering severe pain and blood continues to flow out of her body. However, our gratitude stopped as Dr. Wang started to examine her. She was mean and rude, and made comments such as "If you can't endure the pain then you should've used contraceptives." My reaction was " what? this is a miscarriage of a planned pregnancy." In a situation when we were as hopeless as we were, I really had no choice but to stick with her. However, I've never seen a doctor with less integrity and is less caring. Until this day I still cannot understand why she acted like she was treating the condemned, a patient who did everything wrong and she just "had to deal with it" because she's a doctor. How she jumped to the conclusion that we were a irresponsible couple was just beyond me. Even if we indeed were irresponsible parents, her behavior was just totally unacceptable in my opinion. I thought a doctor's responsibility is to save lives and care for the needed. She certainly did care for the needed, but "unwillingly". read more

She's such a caring and professional doctor. The main reason I like her is that she has very deep and wide knowledge in OB field and even in many other fields. So that way, she can look at things from many angles and comes up with a better solution. She had her PhD degree long time ago, and although she's done with phD for so long ago, she still look at each case like an interesting and challenging research. My case had been one of the very difficult case. I've seen many doctors since i was 16 and no one like Dr. Wang could explained and sort out all the causes and results this thoroughly. I don't know what the negative reviews are all about but she is honest in what she does and isn't out to get your money. After 2 yrs going to a different fertility Dr and 7 Failed IUI's with no answers to my infertility I ended up having my insurance change my fertility Dr and that's how I ended up with going to Dr. Wang. On my first visit there in 2018 she told me what was wrong and put me on medicatio. and specific diet till she knew my body was ready because of the diagnosis of Endometriosis. After 2-3 months she said I was ready and my first IUI (8 total after 7 by different Dr) with her was a SUCCESS!! She got us pregnant and I had a baby boy. I honestly can tell you by someone that has been taken advantage of with a previous fertility Dr that Dr. Wang is an honest Dr that isn't feeding you lies to take your money. My 1st IUI with her and it was a success after yrs trying prior and no success. At this moment I went back to her to try to conceive again in hopes it's a success one more time to add an addition to our family. I wouldn't trust anyone else to treat me. I should have believed the negative reviews. Do not go see this doctor! After I was told that the latest appointment I could get was 3:30 pm, I showed up for my appointment at 3:15 pm to fill out my paper work. The front office staff was perfunctory, but not friendly. I was finally seen by the doctor at 4:15 pm. The doctor starts out by asking how I found her. When I told her my OBGYN's name and that I found her through my insurance website (which incidentally she doesn't take), she said "oh yeah, your obgyn only refers to HRC, but I am better than them. They just have a bigger marketing budget." It was really unprofessional. After seeing me for twenty minutes and spouting crazy stuff like "don't eat potatoes or bread and eat oatmeal to get pregnant" and "take walks with big steps," Dr. Wang tells me she would not treat me because of a past medical condition that I've been medically cleared from. It's bad enough being in a place where I am emotional due to infertility but being told I shouldn't have a baby by her was even worse. Avoid this unprofessional doctor at all costs! read more

I was willing to give this Dr. a try, despite reading other reviews-after being rescheduled two or three times and also receiving a message on my voicemail entirely in Chinese (which I do not happen to speak at all). I went in with an open mind. I am still stunned by my experience today w/ Dr. Wang's office. Her staff member Julie was excellent and very kind, although I waited over an hour for the doctor, partially disrobed in the exam room, examining dirty and haphazard ceiling tiles. Who enjoys that? It seemed irrelevant though, as I need a new ob/gyn for general reasons and also had some fertility questions, and I was not looking for reasons to find fault. But...After my exam, she told me I was very healthy, however, the bottom line is this: Dr.Wang flat out told me NOT to have a baby. She did not outright tell me to not come back, but she did make an extraordinarily inappropriate and JUDGEMENTAL remark, by which I was so taken aback by, I could not find the words to respond. Certainly she would not expect anyone she said something of this nature to, to ever return. I am disabled, and have medi/medi for insurance. We did not discuss the nature of my disability, she has never met me before, and knows absolutely nothing about me as a human being, nor does she have any idea what additional resources I may be able to access, etc. Nevertheless, she saw fit to say, "you can't even support yourself, why would you want to have a baby? Just live happy. If it happens, it happens, if not, just be happy". WOW. I didn't know she gave free, unsolicited advice, and lets us know who should or should not have a child. She was very quick to mention upon entering the exam room, that medi/medi does not cover fertility treatments. She did conduct an ultrasound herself, which is no surprise, as I have had them before and know for a fact she will get paid for that, and when she offered to draw blood to check some hormonal activity (some of which I had done a few weeks ago and brought lab results with me to her office, which they copied and put in my chart), she said, "never mind" when I asked exactly what the tests would do/what we could learn from them. She essentially shooed me out of her office, as I stood in disbelief of her incredible smug arrogance and over the top rudeness. It could be that she is entirely driven by profit, it could be that she has a myriad of other issues. She could possibly discriminate by race, looks down upon people who are disabled-even without having the first clue as to a medical diagnosis...or perhaps she merely thinks "poor people" are substandard humans. I just know that when a Dr. is condescending, rude and inappropriate, I never return, and am certain to let as many people know of my experience as possible. Furthermore, as someone who used to work in high-end sales, I am somewhat amused by her failing on a golden rule of sales: never judge a book by its cover. You truly never know by looking, what kind of a person you are dealing with, be it finances, character, or intellect. Dr. Wang has been a phenomenal doctor. She is always tentative at listening to my concerns and addressing all the needs that I have. She is patient and answers all of my questions. She goes above and beyond for her patients always staying late to finish her appointments or accommodate the needs of her patients. The staff here is amazing. They are very helpful and on top of their things. They even have in house blood draws if needed for an additional price. The location is also convenient as there is a pharmacy downstairs where you can fill your prescription right away. The office itself is clean. I strongly recommend Dr. Wang. We had been trying to conceive for several years, and had a couple miscarriages. My current OBGYN sent me to her saying that she was his "super specialist". And that she was! She managed to find out my issue in no time. I followed everything that she suggested I do to the best of my ability, and we were pregnant within 4 months. This office is totally operation by non-professional staffs not doctor. they will take all possible shoots that they can make money. They don't care about how bad those shoots effect your body later. Do not go here! Her exams are not thorough, and TWICE now I have gotten billed for very expensive services which I have not gotten. TWICE they have billed me for several hundred dollars worth of exams and tests which I did not have. Take a few minutes to find someone else. read more

If I could have given this woman 0 stars, I would have. So I'll preface by saying that. I went in about 2 months ago to Dr. Wang for a first time visit (21) and possibly a pap smear. I let her know I had been EXTREMELY irregular for the last 2 years, and that I was also battling depression, hair loss, among other symptoms. She flat out told me I had to lose weight. Didn't want to run tests, look into other options, nothing. I proceed to tell her that I have been only a few pounds lighter throughout high school, had not gained a ton of weight, and if my irregularity could be something else. She then actually talked to me and said I might have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), prescribed me Metformin (to regulate my period), drew my blood (took her 3 STABS), and told me I needed to have 2 ultrasounds. I was able to get my ultrasounds done that very day, and was told by her office to not make an appointment and they would contact ME when they had received my blood results. A week later, I had a nasty reaction to my dosage and had called the offices; I was told to decrease my dosage, that was all. FAST FORWARD TO 1.5 MONTHS LATER, no call, no results, no follow up, nothing. I called 3 times asking for results, each time I was told they had to pull my chart and would be called back. Shockingly enough I never was contacted. It took a call from ANOTHER doctors office to get my blood results and when asked about my ultrasounds? They never got the results but I wouldn't be billed. Funny. My insurance company says otherwise. TL;DR: Stay away from this doctor unless you enjoy added stress from making sure you actually aren't dying on the inside. There are much better, more professional doctors out there. Plus you probably won't be billed for procedures you have nothing to show for. read more
