One of my favorite spots to go and chill in Denton. The beer selection is excellent and the drinks are well poured. They also have different varieties fresh juice, and they are to die for! The live music is really what makes this place a gem. The first and third Wednesday nights of the month feature a funky band called Sol Kitchen, and boy do they know how to groove! This place has a good beer selection, and their juice bar seemed pretty cool. I wish they had more of a drink menu, but they are new so I'm guessing that will come with time. Great place for a pint of craft beer or an herbal tea by the pot. My wife and I love coming here for a drink that compliments our ToGo dinner. Great atmosphere that is usually quiet enough to carry on a conversation without having to yell either inside or out. The best part is there are NO TVs playing some useless sporting event, news, or rerun movie. Finding a place without TVs can be a real challenge and makes this place a gem in our book. Pricing is reasonable, service is great, staff is knowledgeable and ready to help. Craft beer selection changes fairly frequently so no stale beers on tap. Granted we come in the early evening hours during the week. Late night or weekend experience could be a different story especially during special musical events. Atmosphere 5/5 EXCEPT they don't allow dogs past 8 pm which is pretty crappy because of one bad experience from some random guy who didnt have control of his dog? I think thats a little unfair in my opinion. Chairs and tables are rather new so its a nice place to sit. Drinks 3/5 Taste wise not bad, good drinks, however compared to 10 other bars in Denton their prices are a little bit over priced for competition's sake. Harvest House is entirely more awesome than I thought it would be. The cocktails were flavorful but not amazing. That said, they are extremely well priced. The beer selection is awesome. Truly great. I wish they would put a line through what they are out of, but that is the smallest of detractors. The place is remarkably clean, they have fans on the walls outdoors (many points for this), and the outside area and stage felt spacious even when jam packed. The bartenders are nice and as informative as possible when they get to you. They get rushed of course, but no one was rude. They also seemed well versed in the daily specials and my bartender even recommended a similar alternate beer when the pecan porter I wanted was out. Fun, unpretentious, totally laid back. The crowd was pretty diverse--everyone from young gay couples to white-haired old-timers. Everyone just minded their own business. A lot of people got out to dance. There were also pool tables and other games. They have a huge selection of drinks on tap, including pineapple cider the night I was there. If you want a place to chill out and have a drink and a good time, this is your place. This place is amazing! I came here to study while I was driving back to Houston. The place offers a huge variety of beers, wireless is free a pretty fast and they have great live music performances (at that time I attended "the Country Rexford" concert). Last but not least, the place is really nice, both inside and in the outdoor area and restroom is kept very clean. It happened that a fly flew in my beer. I went to the cashier to trash my bear, they asked me why I would do that and once they knew, they gave me a glass full of beer for free. In 2 words: strongly suggested!!! read more

Beer list is always top notch, bottle list is great, several non alcoholic drinks, family friendly before 8pm, darts, pool, bocce ball, foolsball, wifi, byof, and best of all LIVE Music. Ian has done an incredible job with the sound and lighting up there. The acts they they draw that have no cover or just $2 is crazy because you would normally pay $10-25 anywhere else. Everything about this place is GREAT, except the amount of time it takes for the bartender to make your drink. There is always somewhere to sit - even on the busiest of nights - and the beer selection is fantastic. The bartenders are very helpful when I ask questions and always kind. The only problem I have noticed consistently is that it is very slow service, even on the slow days. Tons of space and lots of varied seating so there's something for every group. They have outdoor games, fire pits and a food truck was there during our visit. Us 2 couples walked in to this place which was empty on Saturday night around 9PM. More bar staff standing behind the counter then patrons. As SOON as we started walking through to a nearby table, the bar staff at once, as if waiting for it in unison, started hollering about excuse me you need a mask excuse me excuse me.......My wife had made it to the table, which was roughly 100 feet in. They didn't bother her after that...? I guess she reached her safe embassy space since she was, magically, seated.....where apparently health and fear no longer is a concern. A little background, I was the only one masked. Our couple friends walked out once they heard the petulant greeting from the bar staff who were clearly interested only in exercising "control" instead of gaining business. No wonder why this place, which I'm told is normally full of patrons, was empty. My one friend reminded me of something that stood out: These people thought they were so much smarter than they were. He also reminded them how they were acting in fear. Well, what else explains such behavior? State mandate? No. We had just visited a restaurant/ bar and another bar prior to entering here, and no childish behavior at those places. No fear. Just reasonable service. There is no logic or science to the behavior of the staff at this place, although I'll bet they feel they exhibit the top tier in that department. Utter fail. Emotions are cheap and that's all I saw...judgmental emotions and fear. Zero ability to talk to people. If you want a low IQ experience, this is your place. Just wear that mask for the 2.9 seconds until you reach that seat, and you'll be safe from the unintelligent pettiness. read more

Harvest House is a great new spot for drinks, lounging, and concerts. The spacious outdoor patio leaves room for many guests and their pets to roam and sit comfortably. I went to meet with some friends last night , and a band called The Southpaw Preachers really rocked the stage with their talent. In comparison to other bars and patios that I've visited in close proximity within Denton, this one is by far my favorite. This is the new "it" place in Denton. I love it because of the open feel and the beer selection. It's pretty hipster, they have a lot of indoor plants on the walls, the fire pits are awesome, there are a lot of handsome bearded men, and the bartenders are super friendly. Harvest House is great! Some friends and I stopped in last night after having dinner on the square and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is great, awesome set up, and a nice selection of beers. What more could you want? There's a nice mix of people too... Doesn't feel overtaken by the college aged demographic which I really enjoyed.
