Every time I have a closing, we place an order for at least $250-$500 worth of meat! We stock the freezer and it last us months and months! You can't be the quality and when you buy them in bulk like it, you're able to determine what portions and size to pre-plan. We've always been treated with a smile and when I place the order by phone they have my order ready in a timely manner! I love the rustic atmosphere, and I love the homemade baked goods! ***I wrote this review months ago, along with a review for the new, sister location. First, Yelp removed my new business entry for the sister location and put both reviews and all my photos here. I reached out to let them know and they moved all the photos and both reviews to the new location. I reached out again and I thought they fixed it. Now, I see that even though they assigned the photos to the correct locations, they've put both reviews on the newer, sister location. This review is for the 1658 Mulberry Rock Rd Dallas, GA 30157 location.*** With much trepidation - I finally ventured out to Dallas. No Gizmo. No J. No backseat full of Zombie phone addicted kids. It felt weird. So quiet. So secluded and off the beaten track. It was a whopping 45 minute drive. And as I drove through multiple residential areas - I was convinced that my navi was doing me dirty and I was lost. I was relieved and thrilled when I finally pulled into the parking lot. Customer service - Folks were friendly - if a little subdued. When I called yesterday, the gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and upbeat but he wasn't the person who waited on me. Value / Pricing - I have to be honest. I don't really pay close attention to prices per pound in meat market settings. It's hard to do this and make a visual comparison to meat in packages like you'll find at the grocery store. I feel like the prices are equal to grocery store prices. Cleanliness - The store appeared very clean and I even ventured into the unisex bathroom while there. Lol. I loved the fact that they have a little foyer table where I can sit my purse and I was able to see the largest water heater I have ever seen in my life while in there. Quality - Everything looked fairly fresh. I didn't see any 'brown' meat, no flies or grime. And there was no 'bad butcher shop' smell. Notables - I was surprised to see Deviled Crab. My brother loves them and he struggles to find them up here. Even when he finds them in south Ga - he struggles to find 'good ones.' According to him, the good ones have a) very little bread crumbs and b) REAL crab meat. While standing in line, you can peruse the refrigerator case with fresh vegetables (ie lettuce tomatoes), bins with onions and potatoes, and the freezer case with frozen vegetables (squash, peas and even french fries). In the beef case, I was pleased to see stuffed peppers, bacon wrapped meatloaf, beef bombshells (beef with de-seeded jalapeno peppers) and various gourmet burgers. I took tons of photos - asking first, of course. This location has deli ham, chicken, turkey and cheeses. They also had Cakes, Cookies, Pies, Cheese Straws from McEntyre's Bakery (Concord Rd, Smyrna) - and ice cream. Near the checkout / cash registers - there's tons of snacks like candy and popcorn. They were out of my beloved smoked pork chops. Overall - I like this spot. It's much too far out to make this a regular spot - but I feel comfortable giving it a 5 star review. A note - I visited the 'new location' first. But they didn't have deli meat, and I figured I was halfway there (12 miles from this location at that point) so I decided to give the original Harvest Time a visit. I made the bulk of my purchases at the 'new' location. I only purchased deli meat and 2 large potatoes from this location. read more

This place is awesome! I probably go there 3 to 4 times per month. I cook a lot of specialty cuts and they always know how to cut and trim what I need. Because they are actual butchers, they also have great advice on how to do final preparations for cooking. Once the meat is cut and trimmed correctly, I end up paying less than at the grocery store. As an added benefit, they also carry McIntyre's bakery goods from Smyrna. Love this place. Headed there this afternoon. read more

Ahhh!! Finally I found the best place to by my meats. You can tell the difference from this meat to any grocery store meat. All is delicious and fresh. Terribly disappointed in this place went by because of the good reviews and was so excited to see an actual butcher in our area. Place my order for New York strip at $9.99 a pound as the sign said. I went to pay and they charge me $12.99 a pound. Took it back to the meat counter to have them fix the price and they refused saying the sign was wrong. It was the advertised price. How many other customers didn't look and paid more than they should have? Makes me wonder if any of their prices are correct. read more
