We are building a NEW build/house. I contacted my builder GC bc when I saw these, I was APPALLED!!? EVERY.SINGLE. Brand new windows look like my child took a saw and hacked them. They are jaggered, asymmetrical, shotty looking windows. Not only do they look like shit but they are so jagged that it could hurt or cut someone/my kids lifting or banging into it. I'm now also concerned because of all the negative recent reviews, I'm actually questioning on how well they will work; and if they work anything like they look, I want my money back! I'm not sure why they are even "angled" and not a straight vinyl lift. In all the houses we've owned we never had brand new windows aesthetically look so awful. Since it's the bottom you can't even hide them. My GC/Builder said Harvey would replace, well the "last pic" is the "replacement"???!! I wasn't there, but they "replaced" or was told, one but it literally looks like they took a "buffer/sander" rather than have the angles look either symmetrical and smooth and even which it is not. I am writing on here to see if anyone has had this problem or is this a bad batch or is this literally the quality & cut of the interior sash. In 2023, we purchased a home with Harvey Double Hung Vinyl Windows. The warranty transferred with the sale. Our windows continue to fail. The seals fail and then there is discoloration between the panes. While the windows have been replaced free of charge, the process has been ongoing for almost 3 years. When the most recent replacement window arrived, it had the sash lock in the wrong location. Plus, the lumber yard representative said it was "poor fit". I agree with others, go with Pella, Marvin, Andersen, etc. read more

We had a Harvey garden window installed roughly five years ago. It has leaked since the beginning! Harvey sent tech out on four different occasions to trouble shoot. When I demanded them to replace the unit Harvey walked away from their warranty citing the bottom insulated panel was not caulked per the installation instructions. The insulated panel was seal as recommended and the unit has continued to leak. Recently, we noticed large water puddles on our hard wood floors. The water also migrated down through the basement ceilings! Upon inspecting the window the exterior factory sealant along the seat board (foam) blew apart! Harvey Products 7 years after having Harvey windows installed, half of the windows do not stay up when opened. Several show signs of leakage. Pivot bars for cleaning flip out easily, so this is a two person job for most windows. For the long haul, these windows will not receive a positive review. read more

After five years I decided to share my experience with Harvey replacement window. 1) The top pane always drops when the window opens so when you close you must also put the top window back in place and lock to keep closed. 2) customer service is worst and the installer does not help. 3) windows balances already breaking and they send a video with a part you have to pay 15.00 to ship and fix yourself. read more

I purchased triple pane windows to improve energy efficiency and considered the federal tax credit when making my purchase. After the installation I requested the qualified manufacture code which is a new requirement to claim the credit beginning with tax year 2025. They said that the IRS chooses who is a qualified manufacture, which is a false statement. They need to simply register and will be issued a code. Despite providing them this information, it appears they have no interest in completing the process that would allow their customers to claim the credit, which would apply to nearly all of their products. read more

Horrible customer service policies! I bought a house 2 years ago that had the upstairs windows replaced with Harvey Windows. I went to clean them last week and the pivot bars (very small, about the size of a quarter) popped out of the flimsy fiberglass frame so that the window wouldn't slide any more. The fiberglass broke. I made a warranty claim & they sent me a video on how to replace the bars but the video said they'd send replacement bars for free. I wrote back to support asking for the bars and they said they are free but it costs $15.00 to mail them (maybe they weight 1 ounce total). I called to give them my credit card number & told the lady on the phone that I thought it was poor custsomer relations that they're charging me to send parts that shouldn't have broken in the first place and she basically had a IDGAF attitude. I need more windows but there is No Way I will buy replacement windows from them--ever! I have bought replacement windows from Andersen and Home Depot in the past and the quality is much better and the customer service is way more accomodating. read more

Poor customer service experience and awful warranty process. I replaced 30 double pane windows during the renovation project of my home built in 1914. Since the interior woodwork of the home remained original and replacing with a modern vinyl window wouldn't work, we decided to research other options. Andersen, Peachtree and Harvey were the available options at the time and priced high to low in this order. I was initially cautious to use Harvey Windows as I've never heard of them before now so started to collect fairly good reviews from local contractors and decided to place the order. The order was placed with Harvey in two phases to acommodate replacement efforts on one floor at a time. All was good for a few years until I noticed some cloudiness appearing between the panes of one window. Well, lets submit a warranty claim to address this issue and move on. Warranty submitted, window delivered, defective window out;replacement window in, nice nice, everybody's happy again. UNTIL a few months later when the same issue appeared on nine (9) more windows. Oddly enough, the mfg. label for each of the defective windows indicated they were made from the same lot and numbered sequentially (xxxx086,087,088,089...) which told me there was a problem on the assembly line and a warranty claim should fix this up fairly quick and easy. NOT QUITE. And I battled via email and an occasional phone call (when someone at Harvey was avaialable to hold a conversation) for 18 months. Regardless of how many times I explained the windows shared the same defect and were numbered sequentially, I needed to provide additional pictures of each windows defect and label to prove the validity for the warranty claim. Begrudgingly, Harvey provided replacement glass only (the window sash lock style was changed since my phase 1 windows were built, thus altering the warranty to provide glass only, no sash) and offered to perform the labor to install the new glass on the original sash for $145/hr. and I would have to bring the windows to them for this service. At this point I'm envisioning driving the windows to their showroom to do a show and tell to prospective new customers before they place an order. I instead, personally performed the replacement work, upgraded the caulking within each window to a higher standard. Harvey wouldn't ship the windows to my home, I had to pick them up 20 miles away. Now, insult to injury, four (4) windows from phase 2 install, wait for it......., yup, you guessed right, HAVE DEVELOPED THE SAME F*+$ing DEFECT !!! Since the windows are over 10 years old I'm subject to a prorated 50% warranty claim. Harvey warranty is a 20 year warranty which covers manufacturers defects, otherwise, all "non" manufacturer issues are covered 100% up to 10 years and prorated on a sliding scale for the remainder of the warranty. WooHoo!! Apparently Harvey Windows aren't designed to outlive 10 years, so anything after is just warranty gravy to them. Prorated my ass. Harvey field representatives have visited my home, agreed that the issue is unusual but certainly appears to be a manufacturing defect, however, did not have the authority to reward replacement windows. Funny, these field reps. have since left the business and I'm still dealing with an ignorant company, their arrogant warranty representatives and foggy windows on a beautiful 1914 Sears/Roebuck home. I'm filing a claim with the Ct. State Attorneys office today. Too bad I wasted my time trying to advocate for myself, by myself. Harvey has become a chess piece on the board of company acquisitions. Lansing Materials recently acquired Harvey Windows to absorb their building materials footprint in New England and spit their window division back onto the gutter. BUYER BEWARE !!! Harvey Majesty wood windows are the worst. I can barely open most of them, the weather stripping sticks to the window frame when opening and closing the windows so that i have to tilt the windows in and fix the weather stripping almost every time, and their customer service is HORRIBLE. I live in a house on the corner of a thickly settled, high traffic district. To my left are seemingly jobless or independently wealthy neighbors with a love for deafeningly loud, Latin music with a repetitive beat that goes on into the wee hours. To my right is a main road often flooded with the sounds of emergency vehicles heading to MGH, to a fire, or to the idiot who is threatening to end his life for the 3rd time and thinks it is going to happen by jumping 20 feet off a bridge to the pavement below. They're OK until they're Not.... We outfitted our new construction cottage with Harvey Products thru a local contractor; windows, doors, siding etc. We visited their showroom in Berlin CT, and they were mostly helpful. Long-story-short, one of the exterior doors leaked badly at the lower corners on both sides. It's a Therma-Tru door slab, but Harvey manufactured and fitted the frame. The Harvey Rep said that the problem was improper installation, so it was replaced by our contractor under the Harvey Rep's supervision. The second door also leaked in the same two places, so it wasn't the installation. Harvey has been doing a dance ever since. The contact person is either "in a meeting" or "on a conference call". After repeated calls she begs off, and "has to take it up with the New Hampshire field office". Total run-around. Harvey is an OK supplier, until you have a problem. When that happens, they don't want to know. I've read that they used to be a pretty good company until they got bought out. Consider yourself warned. read more

Most companies get things right most of the time. The true measure of a company's value is how they respond when they screw up. Harvey's quality may be generally good but their response to a problem is terrible, covered in sales doublespeak.... "we apologize that you feel that way". We ordered 10 Majestic double hung replacement windows to replace the original Andersen windows. We had visited a Harvey showroom, and reviewed their sales material in print and on the web and were assured these were a suitable replacement for our house. All went well, everything as expected, until we viewed the windows from the exterior! While the interior was finished nicely with trim as specified, the exterior window was surrounded by a recessed gap on all four sides which screamed 'this is a hack job that does not fit'. Our contract installer was able to creatively salvage the situation by hand fitting composite molding in the gaps to bring the exterior to an acceptable level. We were perplexed as to how this happened. We went back and looked through the website and brochures again and realized most of the pictures were interior views. The couple exterior views showed windows properly fitted on the exterior. In none of the material available to us, or at the showroom, were we advised about possible exterior dimension gaps. Harvey's response to the above was to tell us that nothing is wrong, it's all good with no explanation about the gaps, why they are there, or why they are not shown in the material or advised in installation material. Just an apology for how we feel about it. So, it all depends on how lucky you feel. Maybe things will go well with your job and you'll be a happy customer. Or if there are problems you'll get an apology for how you feel and maybe a reply from their social media agent asking you to get in touch. I'll make an addition to this post to let you know what happened if that occurs. read more

We have just undertaken a huge renovation to our home. To me this is very overwhelming as there are so many decisions to be made. I personally need to see things to really visualize how they will look, and a small piece of tile, or piece of siding makes it very difficult for me to think of how that would look covering a floor or house. I was extremely thrilled to go to Harvey Building Products Showroom in Burlington, MA. Not only can you see full facades of houses, you can touch and feel products that your contractor might use. I know when our contractor speaks sometimes it sounds like a foreign language because I have no idea about deck materials, or windows. I love that you can go in to this showroom and ask as many questions as you want and are under no pressure to buy because they don't sell to the public. They sell to contractors. I love how everything is displayed in a mock home so you actually see what the door would look like on a home. They have windows, doors, patio rooms, siding, roofing, decking, railing and wood flooring on display. I also was looking at windows as we are replacing some of our larger ones and all of our windows are Harvey and we love them. I love again that you could see the inside and outside. I highly recommend you go there and get some ideas for projects you could do yourself or if you are thinking of renovations to your home this is the perfect place to go to get ideas. Great products - I have upwards of 40 windows / doors across 2 houses. However, warranty & customer service is truly pitiful. After several calls and emails over a 5 week period of time, I finally received a call from a live person. After providing all of the required information, I received a reasonable quote for the replacement of 8 sashes. However, 2 of the items were incorrect (bottom window rather than top). Pretty sure it was my error not Harvey's. I been trying for 2 weeks (multiple calls & emails) to get the quote corrected so I can place the order. I have now been on the endless customer service loop call for 59 minutes!! Unbelievably frustrating. This will certainly impact my buying decision in the future. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. I have worked with Harvey with all the services I could on my house in the past, I HAD a good time. But NOW I am on the 4th WRONG slider DOOR. These doors aren't even close to the one I need, it's not the right size nor the right way to slide open. I have waited over 3 months for the first door and now I'm on 6 months with still the wrong door. We are trying to move and this is the last thing we are replacing and has already put us back 3 months. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. The company tries to hide their errors and misgivings through "Covid situation" when in reality the issue is the company management and customer service team. Products VERY LATE, Products showed up damaged (and they aim they are covered based on their contract), and reps decide it's best to ignore multiple requests and then change their decisions between emails and calls. STAY AWAY! My elderly mother paid over $60.000 to have all of the windows in her home replaced with Harvey Windows. We called about one window because the workmanship was, to say the least, shoddy - gaps that are visible and a rough edge on the window trim. The rest of the windows weren't bad, so we were only calling about one window. I called Harvey Windows and was shocked to learn that we would have to pay $75.00 if someone came out to look at the window and determined that the window does not have a manufacturer's defect. Well, I don't know. Does poor workmanship on a window that still opens and closes a defect? Lesson learned. They do not stand behind their product no matter how much you spend! I would not recommend using Harveybp. I am waiting (and waiting and waiting) for replacement parts for my sliding door. All I need are the wheels but they have to be ordered from the warehouse and shipped to Waltham, my goodness I wish I bought the door at Home Depot or Lowes!!!! It'll be winter before I get them!!!!!! And good luck finding someone to help replace those wheels. I might be stuck with a sliding door that needs my 2 hands and my full weight to lean in and open. When I called the recommended contractors on the Harveybp site they told me "we don't fix them, we only install them". Maybe they know something about the quality. Visited the Harvey in West Bridgewater looking for new windows. Wasn't all that impressed with the showroom or the windows. I tried to get a quote from someone but they only deal with contractors. The whole process was very unfriendly to homeowners. I honestly wouldn't recommend coming here unless you are a contractor. I ended up going to Cape Cod Lumber which had a way better showroom, and the employees their were very helpful. read more

If you have been shopping for windows for any length of time, you've probably already discovered that it's a frustrating experience, and that the world of window salespeople is populated with frauds, hacks, and con-artists trying to get you to overpay for a below-average product. Well my experience with buying Harvey windows was just the opposite... I found a great company (King Windows and Shade) who actually quoted me over the phone (almost no one does that) and then advised me to check out the product at the Harvey Showroom in Burlington. So we did, and the experience was amazing. The folks there are nice, helpful, and they even had a demo where you coud put a boombox on the other side of a soundproof window to test it out. That kind of thing means more than all the numerical stats that go with windows. Harvey had the best products, and King had the best price and the most positive installation experience. I have HARVEY windows and doors installed in my house that was built in 2016. These doors and windows are almost top of the line. My nine foot patio door has a screen door that has given me a problem since 2017. Now it will not close. The plastic sill that is below it has warped and it will not close. I paid a lot of money for this patio door and to have a screen door that will not shut is not acceptable. My neighbor has a Anderson patio door and he has no problem with his screen door. He can open it with one finger. My HARVEY screen door cannot be moved without two hands, and than it cannot be moved more then three inches. Harvey says they have excellent customer service but I have not experienced it. I have been getting the run around for three years. read more

We have good experiences with Harvey windows but we are not impressed with their customer service. We purchased several replacement windows for a project in Sept. 2019 and picked them up at their warehouse in Woburn, MA. After unwrapping, one of the casement windows was damaged - scratch in glass, gouges on frame, and the window only locked when pushed from outside. We took it back to the warehouse but were told to install it and a tech would get in touch within 24 hours. Two days later, after we heard nothing, we called. Three days. Four days. And every time, we get a different rep and 'someone will contact you within 24 hours.' No one did. After 3 weeks, we had to move on to the next project, threw out the defective window and installed an Andersen. Two (!) months later, early November, we received a call from Harvey that a rep would be coming out on December 3. We are still laughing. read more

His knowledge of available product lines and his product demonstrations were outstanding! Fred also was thoroughly knowledgable on all warranties for siding, windows etc. We went to Harvey's for one quick look and came out totally convinced that we should not buy the Anderson windows we planned on ordering today but by all means have the Harvey sales rep meet us at our home for all our remodel needs! I like the windows. I don't like their personnel. I do like my contractor very much. I did break one pane of a window and got a replacement that fit after the second try. The first window that came was the wrong size. I tried to give the rep the correct measurement for the window but he didn't want to listen to me. The second window fit. I don't know how the first window got to my house as I was on vacation at the time. The second window I had to pick up. I installed it with no problems. What to do with a broken window that wouldn't fit in my town receptacle. I called Harvey of Berlin, Ct and asked them. The representative had no clue. I asked if they had a dumpster that I could put it in. He told me no after being put on hold. How could a business of that size not have a dumpster? Liars !! Well I had to break up the window to get it into my garbage. Even with eye protection and leather work gloves on I managed to cut my arm. They are hard to break up. I needed a sledge hammer. This place is pretty sweet, it has a nice set up, go to the counter and you almost make a fast food order for your products, comparing it to a fast food place sound bad but I mean it in a good way, the products do not get tampered with or damaged by customers. If you do not know what you want, this is not the place to be though, and I am almost positive you need an account. The people behind the desk know what they are doing too so there is not that blank stare you can get from a lot of places. I recommend this place to all contractors, not homeowners. read more

the glass panel on a patio door so I called to get it replaced: Call #1 - gave the service rep all of the information, he found my original order in their system, identified the correct part and sent me work order for the replacement window. OK - fine but if this a work order then start working on it. If you need payment up front, then ask me for it. But no, i was told that some one would call to "schedule" the work. No one called. Call #2 - after waiting several days, I called service to see what was up. At that time they took my payment information so that the order could officially start. I was told that i would get a call when the glass arrived so that a time for installation could be arranged. Call #3 - 1 week later Service calls me to ask for payment information so that could begin the order process! Great, we wasted a week while Harvey did nothing. Gave them the info again (after i made sure my card had not been charged) and was told I would receive a call when the unit arrives and a service call can be arranged in a week to 10 days. Guys - you make patio doors to stock sizes, don't you have any pre-built glass panels in stock? Get your act together, your service will drive people away to your competitors regardless of the quality of your product. read more
