Glad to be back sippin in the bluegrass state! Just so you know: Lexington is a great spot, with big city perks but without the congestion and other big city woes. You can wander around and find something that suits your fancy! Harvey's was my first stop, and it's a great vibe and ambience for an after work hang. There's a back patio I didn't visit, but the interior is super cute. Only food option is charcuterie, but definitely with very generous portions. I liked our plate but would recommend checking out some of the nearby restaurants if you need more food. Now realize KY sets the bar high for bourbon; hence the one star deduction. I was underwhelmed by my boulevardier. They do have a sizeable cocktail menu, and my friends seemed to enjoy their selections. read more

I love this place in the summer, particularly because of the hidden ping pong table in the back patio. I love the fable-like theme, the very awesome and incredibly friendly staff, and the overall vibe more than anything else. This definitely seems like a place more suited for cocktail-lovers, which I am not. I haven't been impressed by the drinks as of yet, and have only had drinks here a few times. The beer selection is limited, but my better experience was when bartender was kind enough to attempt to make a cold brew Irish coffee when it wasn't on the menu and coffee was unavailable, which was impressive considering the limited ingredients and off-the-cuff creation. Harvey's is not my cup of tea, and honestly I think they struggle from an identity crisis. We stopped in based on the nice bar setup patio outside once we got INSIDE we quickly realized this is a dive bar/lounge? They have very few beers on tap and not a large local selection. Their cocktail list was very strange. My boyfriend got a dirty martini and it was barley 3/4 full and was not well made. I didn't see anything that looked appealing so I opted for a titos and tonic. It was in a very small glass almost like a half size skinny and short drinking glass with a tiny 1/4th quarter of a lemon slice. Products were not very fresh, and the atmosphere left little to be desired. We downed our drinks and quickly moved on :( read more

I met some friends here early one Saturday evening and we did just that. We were earlier than the usual crowd, so we nearly had the place to ourselves and tucked away at a corner table to catch up on life. I loved the silver ceiling, the mirrored bar shelves, and the candlelight. The bartenders were very friendly and the cocktails were inexpensive and delicious.
