It was prompt: I filled out a form on his site and he swung by the next afternoon (I'm in SW Austin in Circle C). He had me back in business in no time flat, and I didn't even end up needing any parts. Both times, he came across as very straightforward and honest, and was great about showing and explaining what he'd found and figured out. He laid out various options, but seemed to have a clear bias towards the most cost effective (in my case, zero cost) approaches, rather than trying to push parts on me (with associated labor).

This is the only home improvement store in Dripping Springs, and they do a good job. If I need help…read morefinding something, it usually doesn't take long to find an employee. They seem to be well-trained, familiar with the store layout, and they know where to find things. The store is also kept well-stocked with commonly used items. I usually look online first for whatever I need, and that enables me to see if it's in stock, and also where it's located in the store. This is a big time-saver. If they don't have what I need in-store, it's easy to order for home delivery, and it almost always arrives the next day. Checking online first also enables me to see sales and promotions that might save me money on whatever I need from there. Their return process is quick and painless, and I appreciate that they have a dedicated register for returns so that customers with things they want to purchase don't have to wait behind those making returns, and vice versa. By the way, they will also allow you to check out at the Returns register if there's no one making a return there. I also occasionally use their online order/pickup in store option. This gives me the choice of curbside pickup, which is handy when I'm ordering heavy items and need help loading. They bring it right out to the car and load it, and I don't even have to go inside. The other option is to pickup my online order from one of the lockers just inside the entrance. I buy all of my appliances here. They have helpful salespeople, and their delivery service and installation is excellent. They show up at the scheduled time, and they bring the right item, which isn't always the case with some of their competitors. The employees are usually smiling, and they appear to like working there which makes me think this Home Depot management treats them well. That makes me want to continue to do business with them.

I entered the store and asked for 4 gallons of Muratic Acid. I was given a case and told it was 4…read moregallons of Muratic acid. I was charged 17.99 per gallon. When I checked the bottles I realized I was not sold Muratic acid but "Acid Magic" which is not the same and contains buffers and other ingredients I did not want in my pool. When I came back in the store to return the acid, I was told the "Acid Magic" I was sold was the same thing as Muratic acid. I said it wasn't, that it had other ingredients, and I also said I didn't want to overpay for something I didn't want. At this point the store manager became combative and tried to convince me that regular Muratic acid I wanted was the same as the "Acid Magic". He then said the regular Muratic acid was more expensive. When I said I'd like to simply exchange for the regular Muratic Acid he then refused. I'm assuming he knew at this point he was lying about the price and didn't want me to find out. After this, another worker seemed to calm him down a bit and eventually sold me the standard Muratic acid and processed the return. The "Acid Magic" was sold for $17.99 per gallon versus the standard Muratic Acid at $14.99 per gallon. In addition the "Acid Magic" is listed as "31.45% equivalent" whereas the standard Muratic acid is 33%. After I complained that I just had wanted what I asked for, and he didn't need to get upset, he told me to get out of his store, and that I "better run". He then followed me out of the store following me onto the sidewalk and getting up in my face in a threatening manner. I asked why he was threatening me and if i should call the cops, at which point he said "go ahead, you'll bleed more than me." Today, Wed. 3/20/24, MICKEY arrived on time to fix my refrigerator and check kitchen garbage…read moredisposal. MICKEY IS THE BEST EVER professional, polite, and so educated in his field of repairs. His work was accurate, clean and honest. EEJ Appliance Repair is above and beyond. #1. The cost was good as well. The freezer side (left needed a new part) had ice building up and the fridge (right side) was not cold. Our fridge is well kept for its age over 15 yrs. MICKEY mentioned the heater part had to be replaced. He said that part usually only lasts about 10yrs. So, we were very lucky nothing happened or needed repaired till now. That info was good to know. MICKEY EXPLAINED WHAT HE HAD TO DO AND SHOWED ME REPLACEMENT PART. I like learning and definitely am thankful. My husband passed away last summer 2023, and was an electrical, mechanical engineer. He could fix 99% of appliances, electrical as autos at our home. He is dearly missed but probably made sure I got the best guy to help us. There are definitely angels above. MICKEY is such a blessing to our family fixing what our family needed. I did ask him about the kitchen garbage disposal as well. We never use it, but to pour clean water down ever so often. Last week, I turned it on and it did not work. MICKEY took a look and checked it out. Nothing big. Just to reset the switch underneath sink and voila working. We happened to see Garnett's propane truck n the neighborhood (after 15 days without propane) and my husband asked if they could bring us some. The driver said to call the office, and he would be glad to---they brought us propane the very next day. We have been using them ever since --very satisfied with their service.
