I discovered this website about 6 weeks ago when I was searching for matching pieces to my existing…read morefurniture that are no longer made by the manufacturer. I was thrilled to find them at a huge discount. Aptdeco made the whole process very easy. My only minor complaint was the lack of updating the shipping/tracking information. However, I was able to reach out to both delivery teams (I ordered 2 pieces) and they responded very quickly. Both were very polite when delivering and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. Highly recommend!

Extremely hit or miss. I have ordered from AptDeco twice, both times I was buying West Elm…read morefurniture pieces either at a discount or pieces that are no longer sold by West Elm. The first time my dresser arrived brand new with some minor hiccups in shipping (1.5 months for shipping). The second time I purchased a console for $600 (plus an additional $400 for shipping from PA to CA) that was obviously used and damaged, even though it had been listed as BRAND NEW by the seller. There was a big crack running along the top of the drawer and some minor scratches on the surface. I wasn't home at the time of the delivery, so I did not notify AptDeco within 48 hours that the furniture was used/damaged. Therefore, they refused to offer any partial refund, and also refused to reprimand the seller or reach out to the seller on my behalf to let them know that this type of bait and switch was unnacceptable. Therefore, after the second experience of spending $1000 for a damaged console, I don't think I would order from AptDeco again. If you did get a counterfeit, knockoff, or damaged item, unless you notify them WITHIN 48 HOURS OF DELIVERY, and even then, consider it your loss, as they will not care at all.

After admiring the beautiful rugs on Aelfie's website for months, I finally made a decision and…read moreordered the 3x5 Aziza at a very reasonable price. Aelfie emailed the next day to apologize and tell me the Aziza was sold out in the 3x5 size. She showed me several other styles in that size and said I could choose one of those or size up to 4x6. Since I had my heart set on the Aziza, I told her I would size up and asked what the additional cost would be. She said there would be zero additional cost because the fault was hers for not keeping better track of inventory. Thus I received a gorgeous 4x6 rug for the price of a 3x5 rug. What a generous gesture! The rug arrived today and its vivid indigo-blue and creamy white stripes are even more beautiful in person. I look forward to purchasing more rugs from Aelfie, who is not only an enormously talented artist, but an ethical and admirable entrepreneur.

Under the guise of another craigstlist score like the $5000 credenza he'd scored off a guy on the upper east side just last week for $500. (I mean who says no to a craigslist run with the guy who scores a $5000 credenza at that kind of mark down?) They were two breeders with a keen eye for fashion and a strong nesting urge, and I just love nesting too so I was along for the ride. Anway this is all beside the point, but I feel like that's how Yelp reviews are supposed to be formatted. Obnoxious self indulgent personal aside, followed by earnest outpouring of love/vitiriol for local buisnesses. This review being one of the former. Aelfie's is located..... I don't know somewhere in Greenpoint, in what's essentially one of those old industrial buildings that have been converted into lofts/studios. You know like the pinnacle of chic these days. Probably THE best part was as we walked into the studio Peter Bjorn and John's Young Folks was playing over her iMac. It was almost too perfect on so many levels. The owner is a BA-bizzie, she was almost equally as pregnant as my buddy's wife and had such an awesome hustle going on . All the rugs were like either hand made in Uttar Pradesh and designed in her studio or sourced from markets in Instabul./Morrocco... I felt serious DIY #fomo. These are the kinds of buisnesses that the world needs more of...well I mean the world actually needs like a lot more important things than super cute rugs and throw pillows. There aren't enough stars to share with you the amazing experience I had with Ricky Kuma -…read moreespecially considering I was doing it 3,000 miles away. Picture this - the rug of your dreams is suddenly on sale - and I mean REALLY on sale. But the Pop Up is only open for 4 days, and they aren't willing to ship. Except this one person who works there steps up and say "hey, I can help!" So after 3 days of back and forth, and failures on the shipping side (nothing to do with the store) with only one hour to spare, you get a text telling you that it was finally picked up. I never stepped foot in the pop up, a friend spotted the rug for me and facilitated the transaction. She was horrified to hear someone (as she was actually buying 4, rather expensive, rugs) that Ricky shouldn't do this. This person actually got pissy about Ricky helping! About Ricky offering exceptional customer service - and yet he persisted. First, shame on the biotch who didn't want to simply put the carpet aside and wait for UPS. What kind of stellar experience is that for a customer buying a luxury product (regardless that it was on sale, it still wasn't free) Lucky for The Rug Company, Ricky Kuma was there to help, create an exceptional experience, and make sure that I got to add another Rug Company carpet to my collection. You see, obviously, I have a big mouth, so I want everyone to know about this great experience. But it could have gone the other way - and I could have started telling everyone to shop for rugs elsewhere - but instead - Ricky has a customer for life, and I will tell everyone about this exceptional service. BTW, these rugs are like miracles, they will make a room. And you better love it, because you will have it for forever.
