Dr. Hashemi and her team are extremely kind, caring, attentive, and professional. The office was extremely clean and beautiful and the wait times were minimal. The equipment in the examination room was state of the art and extremely clean. I was extremely impressed with their use of latest technology, including a VR headset for the peripheral vision test. Most of all, I was appreciative of how much time Dr. Hashemi personally committed to providing me with valuable advice and answering all my questions. My experience with Dr Hashemi was terrible. I went in for a cataract surgery but she did not finish and left me with a botched/uncomplete surgery with no real explanation. The only thing that was told to me was that she couldn't complete the surgery, that she was no longer my doctor, and I had to go to another surgeon for it to be complete. From this original, unnecessary cataract surgery I had to have 3 different surgeries on the same eye. From October 20, 2025 until February 9, 2026 I suffered something unbelievable because of the lack of care and direction from Dr Hashemi and her office. 1 star because I cannot give 0 stars read more

My first time at this office. The staff at the desk were so polite and friendly. Next I was treated by Logan. He is the one that did my eye exam on the different machines for the doctor to review. My appointment was with Dr. Ghiam for the first time. Not only is he friendly, he lets you explain your problem and listens to you. I have Sciatica and have a trouble walking. I told the doctor, he said speak to his staff and they will help you with Lyft. Maria not only helped me, she came down and made sure Lyft knew where to pick me up. She waited till I got in the car. I was sent to see Dr Hashemi for a on and off double vision issue. The doctor was knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything . Moreover I was satisfied with the pre testing the technicians did and over all service.I also really liked the fact I didn't have to wait months for an appointment which in today's world is a plus! Now for the facility They're on the top floor of a high rise on Ventura boulevard close to havenhurst . The office waiting room is non distinctly decorated but well lit naturally and the seating is ample and adequate . My biggest complaint is the parking lot ! Tight as Cinderella's glass slipper . Cars are squeezed into the tiniest of spaces and if you have a car with sensitive sensors it can take up to fifteen minutes to get out without some screening from the sensors. I really suggest you allocate enough time to get a decent spot or street parking if you can find . Just FYI for two hours I got to cough up 20$ in the San Fernando valley . read more

This office is BUSY. Dr Hashemi is a Neuro-Opthalmologist Specialist. During the pandemic I had to I have scour Los Angeles, Orange County and Riverside Counties. Very compassionate care. She was the 14th Dr specialist contact and 4th eye doctor to FINALLY diagnose and start my treatment. After a ridiculous amount of tests being negative, she was able to narrow down what it was....super rare. She explained the other 2 specialists I needed to see to help my condition. Luckily, my other specialist was able to refer me to a UCLA professor who publishes on the condition. . . and I have a care plan to check in with her on an annual basis. read more

Oh yeah five stars all the way for this young sharp with it knowledgeable doctor First of all everybody on the staff was super nice and very helpful. Secondly, the office is immaculate. I love how she has the doors color-coded. I don't know much about equipment but she had everything in there and they wiped it down every time before I put my chin face whatever close to it. If I could give negative stars I would. I am a healthcare worker and the last thing I've ever wanted to do was write a review for a place of healthcare. I was referred to Dr. Hashemi by my optometrist where they told me I had an appointment set up. When I went to the office, the man told me they didn't have an appointment for me even though the man said they had the information sent over and he talked to my eye doctor but they scheduled it for the wrong day on their end and told my optometry place a different day. Since I was already there, they rescheduled my appointment again. Yesterday I was waiting for a call to confirm my appointment but never received one. I called today before my appointment to confirm and was told that they called and talked to me yesterday and apparently I confirmed to cancel my appointment with them. But I said I never got a call and they changed their excuse and said they left a voicemail on a number that wasn't even the correct number. So they confirmed my cancellation with someone who isn't even me? How is that allowed? The woman on the phone did not help and just kept arguing with me to save herself after I called her out on saying she spoke to a completely different person to confirm my information and appointment (HIPAA). She started to say well your insurance is inactive anyways so it wouldn't matter. So my insurance works everywhere else but here because they want to keep making excuses? I hung up because they obviously have no empathy for their patients and not even an apology or attempt to help the situation. This is the second time that I've driven an hour to get there and changed my work schedule for something that was probably never going to happen due to their lack of organization, privacy of information, and care towards patients. read more

Scheduled an appointment with a rude person who told me "You're welcome to schedule with another doctor" when it turns out the first appointment for a new patient was months in the future. No, I said, I'd like to schedule with Dr. Hashemi, she seems like the right doctor for me. Fast forward a few months, I got a phone call late yesterday afternoon asking that I confirm my appointment today. Called back this morning to confirm, they told me they scheduled an emergency patient at my appointment time and now they can't see me today, and can't see me for months. Dr. Hashemi is the best. I have never met a doctor that was so caring and compassionate. She takes the time to sit down and actually get to know you. After years of searching for answers and visiting many specialists, I finally know what's been causing my issues. She called me after office hours to discuss the results of my tests and the plan of action. It was a very scary moment for me, but it was reassuring to have such a compassionate doctor that was helping me through it all. I have now been stable for a full year. I am very frustrated! Imagine having horrible headaches 10 times a day for 10 years and my eve doctors, neurologists, general physician could not figure it out what was causing these debilitating daily headaches. My eye doctor referred me to Dr. Hashemi. I saw her yesterday for the first time. Within the first 5 minutes of my exam she figured out what was causing the headaches. I saw her again today at her Encino office. The entire staff was lovely. She did a short procedure on me today and as I am typing this review my headaches are 50% better. I am crying as I am typing this. I never thought I would be able to sit at my computer without having headaches. Honestly next to the day my 2 daughters were born this is the happiest day of my life. I cannot describe what it means right now to feel better. She is going to do Botox in the future. I can't wait for it to get even better. 10 years. 6 doctors. No one could help me. After a short procedure in her office today there's no headache while I type this. I tried an MRI, numerous headache meds, I saw the Neurologist at Cedars for 2 years. This is a miracle!! I went to her office twice. The first time I started to see floaters and I was very stressed out and concerned. She did a very complete examination of my eye and I found that it is nothing dangerous and I should learn to ignore it. The second time she also was very helpful. Dr. Kent Small, my ophthalmologist, referred me to Dr. Hashemi, a neuro-ophthalmologist after I developed diplopia (double vision). Dr. Hashemi took time from her busy schedule to see me the next day and recognized that I had a serious condition after evaluating my MRI. Dr. Hashemi took quick action. She requested another practice to keep their office open so that I could receive critical intravenous antibiotics that evening. She also referred me to Dr. Martin Mortazavi (a neuro surgeon) and his team who she believed could address my medical issue. I received an evaluation and began treatment the next day due to Dr. Hashemi's intervention. I found Dr. Hashemi to be very knowledgeable and personable. Follow-up appointments confirmed to me that she genuinely cared about her patients and was open to discuss any concerns I had. The first emergency hospital that attempted to diagnose me sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics to treat a sinus infection, which would not have addressed my illness. I believe I am alive today due to Dr. Hashemi's and Dr. Mortazavi's quick response and I am truly grateful. read more

5 stars is not enough for Dr. Hashemi. She saved my mother from going completely blind. She is caring, compassionate, and pro-active. My mom had been experiencing symptoms of GCA for over a month. During that time she was hospitalized and placed on an IV drip of prednisone without a diagnosis. After she was released she went to her GP who left her on only 10mg of prednisone per day even though she suspected GCA. I found Dr. Hashemi through my own research of GCA and she got us right in. My mom had already lost the vision in her right eye and was rapidly losing her left eye vision. Dr. Hashemi sent her immediately for a high dose prednisone drip and placed her on higher doses of daily prednisone. My mom responded well and even gained back a bit of her right eye vision. She then set a plan into place. My mother is feeling so much better! The prednisone does have side effects so we are currently transitioning her to actemra. Dr. Hashemi is our angel and we are very grateful to her. read more

Dr Hashemi came highly recommended. There are not enough stars to say just how great she is!! She took her time, and was so thorough, leaving no stone unturned which I appreciate so much!! She explained absolutely everything to me in terms I could easily understand; she listened to my concerns, and answered every question (and I had many!) with patience, & thoughtfulness. She took her time to be sure that I understood everything. She is kind, & caring, and it is obvious that she loves her work, and her patients!! I feel so lucky and grateful to have found Dr Hashemi, a truly knowledgeable, caring, and wonderful doctor!!! The lack of professionalism is astounding. The lies the staff tell week after week lack logic and even originality. How can staff honestly be unable to find a patient's records, files, name, address, and even phone number after I provided it to different staff on 3 separate calls? If they are losing patient information that often and that rapidly then they cannot be trusted with my sensitive health information again. And each time, they claimed that they were submitting authorizations to my insurance. Yet the next time I would speak to them, they would claim to have no record of me or my insurance company nor my policy number. If you don't have that information, how did you ever submit an insurance authorization request? Eventually someone did submit an authorization request to the insurance company. Thank God! The insurance company approved and faxed them the authorization number. Then I called and personally gave the Dr office the authorization number. Next, a receptionist called me confirming the approval and authorization. Yet for the next 1.5 weeks another receptionist and even the Dr herself claimed my insurance had never approved the visit. During this same time, I repeatedly found myself hinting and encouraging staff to do their jobs, review their most recent false claims, apply general clinic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the basics of HIPAA. All while they deliberately misled me, lied to me, lied to their own Dr, lied on the health insurance company, etc. Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere read more
