This office is phenomenal! I came in very nervous and hesitant to get surgery on a stubborn eye stye and the staff from the front desk, to the assistants to clinicians to Dr. Samimi himself, were all very kind and put my mind at ease with the process. Setting up the procedure was a breeze with their coordinator who guided me through the paperwork and kept me informed via text messages about my scheduled procedure and insurance information regarding what was covered and what I needed to pay. On the day of the procedure, Donovan, the clinical coordinator was fantastic setting me up for surgery and checking in, making sure I was aware of possible effects and guided me through the aftercare thoroughly. Dr. Samimi himself was a magician. Throughout the procedure he was very adept at performing the surgery while keeping me distracted through conversation. It was truly amazing and I was surprised when it was done. Moreover, his work was fantastic as I haven't had to deal with nearly as many of the side effects due to how precise his work was. I was referred to Dr. Samimi by my opothmologist. My eyelids had developed excess skin over the years and were drooping. It was affecting my vision. I sometimes had to tilt my head to see. I was given several tests and it was determined by Dr. Samimi that I would be a good candidate for a Blepharoplasty which tightens or removes sagging skin around my eyes. During the consultation, he noticed that one of my eyelids closed involuntarily and my eyes were hypersensitive to the lighting. He diagnosed me with Blepharospasm which is a neurologic disorder affecting the muscles controlling your eyelids. Fortunately, botox injections can be used to treat, but not cure, the condition. I have had one session of having the injections. After a few days, I noticed that my eyes were more open and pronounced. After a week, I noticed that my peripheral vision improved. I didn't notice before that ihad lessened. It was a slow progression. I noticed that I didn't need to tilt my head to see. It has been a quite dramatic improvement. I am quite impressed with Dr. Samimi's knowledge, professionalism and honesty. He was easy to talk to and perceptive of recognizing my Blepharospasm symptoms. I have never heard of it before and grateful that I consulted with him. I am planning to have the Blepharoplasty by him to reduce the excess skin from my upper eyelids in the future. When I was 28 I realized my right eye lid was starting to droop due to a weak eye lid muscle. As I got older the worse it got until it was covering about 30% of my vision and was a- symmetrical looking. My lid was heavy and it was uncomfortable. Make-up couldn't hide it, fake lashes didn't do anything other then draw more attention to the problem.... I was at a loss! I didn't know what to do! The way it looked was not only affecting my vision but it was affecting my self confidence. Hello All, Let me start off by saying I recommend Dr. Samimi for any of your needs regarding the eye/eyelid. For a year plus I had a lump under both the top and bottom of my eyelid, which was known to be a chalazion. After strenuous research and the endless reading of reviews I decided to go with Dr. Samimi and his services. Upon arriving at his office I had to fill out the preliminary paper work but that was rather fast. But during this time I was greeted and made to feel comfortable and prepared and given a complimentary water. This was nice because usually at doctors offices you're to get your own water, lol! Dr. Samimi didn't just jump into the operation but he took his time, engaged in conversation, and got to know me and I found that sincere. Once the procedure started he assured me of the pleasantness and not to worry. Before I knew it I was done. Although, I was paying cash for my procedure, I didn't have all of it on me at the time--he/his secretary allowed me to pay later--more so on an honor system. They didn't contract me into a promise-to-pay clause. They gave me however much time I needed, which I thought was rather cool. Usually doctors want their money before even seeing you, so this says a lot about Dr. Samimi and his staff. Great guy and he definitely knows what he is going.
