    Regular Poke Bowl

My all-time favorite poke spot! Hashtag Poki is insanely delicious. The fish is crazy fresh. The mix-ins and sides are also super flavorful and fresh. I absolutely ADORE the ika salad. The dressing is so good and the squid is juicy. The portion sizes are very generous. Oftentimes poke places serve majority rice with their bowls but Hashtag Poki loads on the fish! I wish I was exaggerating when I say I eat here at least 4 times a week. This location is just a pick-up spot. There are no tables or seats. The service is always friendly and very quick. This is the perfect meal to picnic in the park with!

Service was good and staff members were nice but the food is just ok. The seafood doesn't taste that fresh and also portions were on the smaller side since they use a tiny scooper. The customizability is nice but everything in terms of taste including the non-protein sides were just OK.

Absolutely delicious!! we were recommended to try this place and we're so glad we did! When we first walked in we were greeted with nice warm smiles. We love that they're in Togo boxes which makes it feel easy to get Togo and we love the options / choices to add to the "bowls". We definitely will be stopping by again the next time we're in town.

This is my favorite poke spot in Berkeley! I got the small poke bowl, which I think is the perfect serving size. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and I love how they mix the fish with the sauces, adding so much flavor. I went with the Yuzu and Ponzu sauces together, and it was an excellent combo. I also placed an online order for pickup, and it was super fast and easy. I'll definitely be back!

What a great start to begin the year with a new spot unlocked. Hashtag poki is quick and professional at their job. Order what you want, here's your bowl. Seating inside very minimal but you would need to go during slow hours. I went here Sunday lunch, and enjoyed my meal. I was lucky enough to grab a seat and enjoy all the flavors bursting in my mouth. The wonton chips is definitely a must have in your poke bowl. Quite creative, I like the idea! Street parking is provided, not hard to miss. A corner restaurant to serve you. I am most likely coming back to this joint to enjoy more of their menu.

Super fresh poke and fresh salad greens in Berkeley! I also love that they offer macaroni salad and edamame as side options. I got a small and the portions were a bit small for the price but for the quality, I believe it's worth it. My only complaint is the sauces are a bit too salty and not savory enough - I'll have to go back and try some other sauce combinations.

Got a small poke bowl with hamachi and half salad half brown rice. The portions are smaller than I remembered from past visits but the fish, the rice, seaweed salad, and crab salad were all fresh. They charge $1.50 for avocado which is kind of a bummer but the quality of the food is good. Other poke places like Oke Poke include avocado so I'm taking one star off for this. But overall still one of my poke spots in the East Bay for freshness and quality.

Hamachi, spicy tuna mixed with avocado, cucumber in spicy mayo sauce. Sushi rice, crab salad, furikake on top with a side of spicy edamame.

Service was great, fast and nice. Food was fresh. Very good selection of options. Would recommend highly. Great if you are wanting a fresh healthy meal.

My favorite poke place in the bay! The fish is high-quality, they give a good proportion of sauces and mix-ins, and have all the options I usually go for in my bowls. The location itself is relatively spacious, though they don't have too many seating options. I usually come in for an early dinner, and have always been able to grab a seat. They have huge windows, so you can bathe in the sunlight while you eat. The staff are all nice and patient, and were happy to explain which options contained gluten and which did not (though the signs also mention it!).

Solid poke spot! I live a lot further away from campus and no longer have easy access to the other poke spots around, so this was the closest one. There's plenty of street parking here, and the inside has seating. This place is definitely higher quality than the other spots near campus, but I would say their portions are smaller (specifically their rice!) but I honestly don't mind paying more if the fish is better. The staff is also super nice and the inside is always clean, which I appreciate a lot!

We entered a few minutes before peak dinner times, so there were seats to choose and sit from. By the time we left, mostly all the seats were filled up, so I would suggest coming in early. I liked the naming for each of the ramen dishes, some I recognized the names from Hawai'i. For this round, we ordered 3 different types of ramen: the Kuni, Broke da Mouth, and the Miso Hungry. These orders also came around the same time. A notable elements I liked about the ramen was that the noodles were chewy and springy, and the broth was smooth and easy to drink. I also didn't have the urge to drink lots of water either, so the seasoning was perfect. The other element was that I got to enjoy the ramen's broth and noodles as the stars of the dish, and the proteins, like the pork were supporting roles. For me, what I enjoy ramen are the broth and noodles, so I'm happy that these are prominent in the dish, rather than me having other chow down a thick slab of pork. This restaurant hit the right marks for what a delicious ramen is for me, so I'll come back, and maybe try their other broths.

Actually mustard might be a helpful condiment to offer to address the blandness of the food here. I'm not saying it's bad here because it clearly satisfies the student populace who obviously need sustenance to make it through their midterms and finals. For me as someone many years from my undergrad days, however, my point of reference relates to the plate lunches I could find on Oahu. Using that point of comparison, I suggested to Jamie W that we give it a try during one of our weekend Berkeley walks. Jamie ordered the $14.99 BBQ Chicken & Beef Combo Meal. It was a hefty portion suitable for a growing post-adolescent. The meal came with the requisite two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and steamed cabbage underneath the meat (Photo 5). He pronounced it middling when it came to flavor satisfaction. I went for the $13.99 Hawaiian BBQ Beef Bowl. It came with the same sides, and the satisfaction level was comparable (Photo 6). I would definitely recommend the chicken combo- it comes with two types: deliciously crunchy panko-crusted chicken (meat tastes fresher than L&L Hawaiian) and teriyaki chicken. Meat portions are generous, and can easily be enough for two whole meals. Food also comes really quickly (~10 min) and the staff have always been nice when I've visited. All in all, a great spot for yummy protein at a reasonable price.

Inside is definitely cozy and you'll be sitting fairly close to the tables next to you. Service was really fast and easy - no complaints at all! The food was all great. Standouts were garlic edamame, 6pc omakase, beef tongue, pork belly, negitoro maki, corn tempura, & sweet potato creme brulee. Edamame was lightly charred and salted well, with generous amount of garlic flavor. Omakase was fresh and tasty, although a tiny bit small so definitely perhaps get your own instead of sharing one order between two. Beef tongue was hands down the best thing. I thought it was a boneless short rib with how tender it was (can break apart with chopsticks). The pork belly was also soft and went well with the spicy miso. Negitoro was fresh and the wasabi was grated very well. Corn tempura was perfectly fried and very crispy while still being soft inside. Lastly, the creme brulee was a great dessert. You do get a hint of the sweet potato. Would love to return to try other dishes!

The restaurant was packed and seating is pretty limited, so I'd highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The atmosphere is lively and energetic with casual Japanese eatery vibes, and service was friendly throughout the meal. Everything felt creative, rich in flavor, and very texture-focused. Here are the highlights: * Ankimo Mousse (monkfish liver) with sweet potato chips - Made with truffle paste, capers, and chives. Absolutely delicious. The mousse was rich and savory but surprisingly fluffy in texture -- honestly a savory girl's dream. The sweet potato chips added just enough sweetness and a snap to balance the richness of the liver. 9/10 * Bluefin Tuna & Tsubugai Sashimi Nuta - Bluefin tuna, sea snail, broccolini, and fresh wakame tossed in a sweet Kyoto yuzu miso vinaigrette. Kind of like a sashimi-seaweed salad. I really liked the vinaigrette and especially the texture of the sea snail. I'm not sure all the ingredients fully came together cohesively, but it was still enjoyable overall. 7.5/10 * Yuba (house-made tofu skin with ikura and uni) - Served as single bites on spoons. SO good. You can really taste the difference between house-made tofu skin and store-bought. It's much more delicate, creamy, and tender, with a mild soybean flavor that balanced the richness of the uni and salmon roe beautifully. The textures in this bite were incredible. 9.5/10 * Iberico Pork Jowl Skewer with miso marinade - I honestly prefer pork jowl over pork belly. The fat and meat are more integrated instead of layered, so every bite is tender, juicy, and flavorful with just the right amount of chew. So good. 9/10 * Clam & Cilantro Ramen - I've never had a ramen broth quite like this. It was slightly creamy and deeply flavored from the clams, and the cilantro added a lot of depth and freshness. The noodles had a great texture too -- chewy and bouncy. Everything worked together perfectly. 9/10 * Uni Carbonara Pasta - Pasta with parmesan, uni, and ikura. They do not skimp on the uni or roe here. Super creamy and rich with bursts of saltiness from the ikura. The texture was great, but I honestly wished it had just a tiny bit more salt to really make all the flavors pop. It was almost there for me. 7.5/10 * Desserts - We tried two desserts, including the sweet potato brûlée. Both were delicious. One had a silky panna cotta-like texture, while the sweet potato brûlée was creamy, lightly sweet, and had the perfect crackly sugar top. 9/10 Overall, such a fun meal with a lot of unique dishes and flavor combinations. There are still so many things on the menu I want to try next time. I'll definitely be back.
