    BBQ Chicken Mini Meal
    Jennifer C.

Portions are extremely generous and the quality is good enough to warrant visiting again and again. Even the mini meal comes with enough food to fill me for dinner. Friend got a loco moco which is probably a skip for me as the gravy looks like a generic chicken fried steak gravy. I wasn't in the mood for a katsu but definitely seems like something to get next time.

I had order food delivery. My order included loco moco and aloha bbq combo. They were delivered warm and ready to eat with utensils. The loco moco included an egg on top of two beef patties covered with gravy and beneath it were Mac salad, rice and steamed broccoli. Food with gravy, there's never enough. The loco moco was on point. If you like sampler plate, the aloha bbq combo offer a little of everything g, sort rib, beef (biggogi) and chicken. Much more chicken than the other two. Of course, human nature to want more of the short ribs and beef. Nice portions and good value for the two plates. Definitely order more in the future.

I came in Thanksgiving afternoon to order the LauLau plate and the Aloha BBQ plate with 2 scoop mac and let me tell you how much my bf and I enjoyed the freshness and solid portion size. Take a look- J wished the LauLau came with the butter fish an a lil more pork. Was so awesome with the cabbage and broccoli as sides.

We are regular customers! Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Aloha BBQ Combo - BBQ beef & chicken with kalbi short rib. All was so good and as usual, with generous quantities. If you are following, I have been on a HUGE salad and fruit diet thanks to my guests; so I made sure that I am proteining up until I visit her again tomorrow. Lau Lau - My daughter's favorite. And I learned that I was NOT supposed to take off the leaves of the Lau Lau, lol. See pictures. I wasted some of her meal by helping... Again, a generous quantity. Simple menu done well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere - Small local business. Indoor seating, but again the majority of the customers take to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small parking lot, but still never an issue getting a space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - 5 stars as usual. Price - $30 ish. My daughter said she paid (with my credit card). Sorry, I can not remember as I had too much wine at the members' event today... Owner Comment - Congrats on your 3 years of success, and at your newest location in Vallejo! We frequent your other location also.

Stopped by to pick up some food for the kids. Prices are very reasonable. Had the chicken katsu, decent size order. Also ordered chicken musubi and lumpia. Chicken musubi needed more seasoning but otherwise fairly decent size.

Been coming here for months never once had any bad experience food is done less than 15 min for big order. Amazing and helpful staff love it here will try and come weekly[[HIGHLIGHT]]good atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken katsu with delicious Curry on the side, with macaroni salad and vegetables. I'm not a chicken katsu connoisseur, but I loved this.

Got their chicken katsu with curry. So good! It's really a to go place so can't speak much for the ambiance, but food was delicious. So much! Service was excellent.

We found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! We ordered: -Laulau: this came with rice, mac salad, some cabbage and the steaming hot laulau. This was juicy and flavorful. -Loco Moco with extra gravy: this was so filling! The entire plate was covered with rice. Then on top there was a scoop of mac salad, a large piece of broccoli, 2 meat patties, 2 over easy eggs, and gravy. This was so good and fresh. This definitely hit the spot. Tips: - Smallish parking lot, but probably enough for this plaza - [[HIGHLIGHT]]there are 3 tables to sit in at the restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - Looks like they do catering as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We really liked this place for their friendly staff, good food, and clean restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back if we are in the area!

Fresh and hot, these rice plates are a great value in San Leandro. Ordered a chicken katsu and the box was packed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiny lot, so might be easier to go during off times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've ate at a lot of Hawaiian BBQ spots and this is one of the better ones. I got the chicken combo with two Mac and one rice. The bbq chicken was really good and the katsu was huge! Cooked perfectly and nicely breaded. I didn't really care for the mac though. It wasn't bad I just didn't like this version of it. The katsu sauce was pretty good too. The portions they give you are crazy big!

*3.5* Was craving a Hawaiian plate dinner and stumbled upon Moana Hawaiian BBQ during my short meal break. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Boxes stacked haphazardly throughout the dining area and the laid-back attitude of the employees give it a homey, small-business feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a walk-up order system that got my food out fairly quickly an hour before closing. My $17ish Aloha combination plate (sub 1 scoop of rice for mac) featured 2 pieces of fairly stringy short rib, mediocrely seasoned beef, and a large amount of surprisingly tender and juicy chicken all served with some broccoli and steamed cabbage. The mac salad was a tad above average but didn't do much to redeem the overall quality. To be honest, I'd prefer the Hawaiian BBQ I've had at some of the larger chains to the meal I had this night in terms of both portion size and quality. At a similar price point, I don't think I'd return unless it was out of necessity.

Huge portions!!!! Chicken Katsu was delicious! Very well seasoned, very crispy and not oily at all. Comes with two scoops of rice, a scoop of Mac salad and veggies cabbage and broccoli. With a small portion of katsu sauce Also got an order of spam masubi which came in two pieces which we didn't love. Tons of rice- thin slice spam and not a ton of teriyaki sauce so it was kinda dry. Total was only $21! Additional sauce is 0.65 I think. We called in and food was ready when we arrived. Parking in a small lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love the Hawaiian drink options! Nice staff. We would be back!

Most likely due to their location, they have a double-pane glass between you and the cashier, and the speaker they use cuts off every other word, so it was hard to place the order. But other than that, the food was amazing, and the order only took 10-15 minutes to come out. My husband and I are Hawaiian food aficionados. We LOVE to find good locations like this. This one in particular still has 2020 prices because you CANNOT get a full meal like this for under $15 anywhere anymore. We ordered the BBQ Mix, all rice, no cabbage. The beef and rib were probably the best I've ever had. The meat was not dry, and the rib was a huge piece. It feels like anywhere else you go, the meat is paper thin. I also ordered the Seafood Mix with chicken, but instead of the teriyaki chicken I requested the katsu chicken. I regretted that decision until the food came out. I thought it would be too much fried food, but once I started eating, it was perfect. My husband loved the katsu, so we traded some katsu for his beef. We had so much food that even after sharing with our 6yo, we still had enough to take home and feed our husky a nice treat. Imagine getting all that food for $14 a plate?! Service was okay, but we didn't interact with her much. It's an order-at-the-window and sit-down kind of place--nothing out of the ordinary in my eyes.

It was super delicious. I love the garlic soy sauce and teriyaki sauce! I poured on the sauce all over while its cooking to get all that flavor. I like it when the rice gets a little crispy on the bottom as well. This place is located in a hole in the wall kind of restaurant on a old strip mall. There is good amount of parking. The waitress was very friendly and food came out really quick. My family were only there for about 30 min including ordering, waiting for food, and eating. They also have hawaiian food that looked really good too.

Quality/Quantity - This has been booked marked for a while to visit. Overall the food was okay, but NO ventilation?!?! All foods come out on a piping hot sizzling cast iron platter which smoked up the place! I feel sorry for the waitress. Korean BBQ restaurants have ventilation on each table which would make a slightly more comfortable environment. Salmon & Rib Eye Yakiniku with Rice - My wife enjoyed it and actually finished her entire entree. Decent flavors. The quantity is for 1 person. Chicken Garlic Butter Egg Noodles - Substituted rice with egg noodles for $1 more. Well these are NOT egg noodles in my opinion. More like ramen noodles...? Anyway, it had decent quantities of chicken. I had to give 25% of it to my daughter. Well, we ended up taking the leftover chicken with her leftover beef home. Beef Udon. Add Kimchi + $1.50 - Again, with good flavors. The udon noodles were of good quality. Generous beef that we/she took her leftovers to-go. Ambiance - A very small location. I think there are just 7 tables. And because this place was so small, the smoke from the sizzling platters filled up the place. Open 6 days a week. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good. Price - $56 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2019. Are you a franchise?
