Elephant brand basmati, in- house 7 spice blend, lamb cubed for kabobs to order, Shan chaat mix
    Kelly A.

Although it may have "Brothers" in the name, the butchers at the counter have been all women on my dozen or more visits. Since moving back to MI, this has been my source for lamb and most middle eastern supplies. I always order some "boneless lamb for kebabs", which they bone and cut to order, and frequently their premarinated boneless chicken. I also recommend the ground lamb kofta, already seasoned and ready to skewer and grill. While your meat order is being assembled, wander around and you'll find yogurts and drinks in the cooler, including bottles of Mexican coke and orange Fanta, and in the back three different sizes of bulghar wheat and bins of bulk spices and grains. They also have several varieties large bags of basmati rice and pita bread towards the front and a selection of sweets and dates. They have just about the whole Shan line of spice boxes from Pakistan. I usually make my own curry blends, but at $1.49 a pop keep the Shan fish biryani and fruit chaat packs on hand. They also carry a few of their own blends, such as a nice 7 spice for kebabs. I usually can't resist getting some prepared hummus or dolma (stuffed grape leaves) at checkout. The hummus is silky smooth and full of tahini. They are eager to help with suggestions for spices or accompaniments and will often ask what you're cooking. Feel free to ask questions!

I asked her if she can get me a nice piece of minion. She made sure to put the top one good, but the rest rotten! Literally smelled so bad that it made me wanna throw up. The meat was GREEN AND moldy (just like the picture is showing). When I called her back, she said that's how meat should look like. Oh well, one less costumer to

Green mold , which they "didn't see" and "wasn't there".

I come to this meat market since it's halal and very close to me , recently I bought Turkey which had small green bits in it and a sour smell, I brought back to the store and the woman working at the register claimed I lied basically and said to wait for the owner because she "doesn't have time " you're working , you have all day . Owner comes says the same thing but in a nicer way ? not the first time , my family members have said they got rotten meat from here before but I never had that experience until today . Very sad that a muslim owned business would do this. Bought 10 lbs of Turkey for it to be rotten . Do not recommend, there's plenty of fresh halal meat markets all over Michigan . Go else where . Also do not trust the Facebook reviews because the cashier tells all the customers to check out their Facebook and leave a good review which I heard while waiting for the owner to come And reject my rotten meat

Quality of meat is not fresh. It had a very gamey smell to it. Will not be going back.

What a great place to have a rehearsal dinner…read more Our family was hosted in a private dining room. I wish that I would have taken names because the service was amazing! The drinks were flowing. Love the Brazilian lemonade. They also did a modified strawberry hibiscus caipirinha mocktail for me which was so delicious. I'm not a beef eater, but the family enjoyed so many delicious cuts. Picanha sirloin. Fraldinha bottom sirloin. Alcatra top sirloin. Costela beef ribs. For me, it's just lamb when I eat red meat. Lamb chops medium. Lamb picanha marinated with fresh mint, white wine and lemon then fire roasted. Yum! My favorite though is the salad market table. Slices of smoked salmon. Hearts of palm. Asparagus. Brazilian egg salad. Grilled cauliflower. Chickpea salad. I can actually skip the meat completely and be so satisfied. Try not to fill up on the pao de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread. It is so addictive!! Not sure why we needed dessert but the trio was a sweet way to end a great meal and begin a weekend filled with family and lots of love. Somehow we managed to sample the cheesecake brûlée, key lime pie and the decadent chocolate brigadeiro cake. So many delicious bites. Thanks to the staff who made this a night to remember. Obrigado!!

Highly recommend this location for any special occasion or just a delicious lunch. Ambiance and service are top notch. Excellent selection of rotating meats. Impeccable atmosphere. Overall a great churrasco experience! The crème brûlée cheesecake was an unexpected highlight and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended. Seating consists of movable armless chairs that can be easily rearranged to accommodate a wheelchair. Along the dining room's outer wall, there is ample space to park a mobility device, such as a walker, without obstructing foot traffic. Free parking includes several accessible spaces directly in front of the restaurant. The restrooms are clean and easily reached via a barrier-free hallway off the main dining area.

Polish Market continues to be my go to market for Polish sausage in Metror Detroit. I have tied most if not all of the other well known named Polish centric markets in metro Detroit but for my money this Market makes the best sausage. Their large selection of tasty sausage with fair pricing is second to none. In particular, I consider their cherry wood sausage to be exceptional where this is my go to wood species when I do my own smoking which I do on a weekly basis. It adds such a good and unique flavor to meat that I am surprised that more smoked meat centric businesses in the area dont do it. Sausage aside, I like to buy their Polish cookies/treats from Polish Market for my 90 something year old in laws who are immigrants from Poland where they get a huge kick out of these baked goods that remind them of their heritage and original homeland. It lights up their eyes when I say I bought Polish cookies for them. Sometimes the simplest things are the best things in life! (:
