We came up to our home in Green Valley Lake on a Saturday only to find it had been invaded by an endless number of carpenter ants. I looked on Yelp, not really thinking that we'd be able to find someone on such short notice on a weekend. Steve was very prompt in getting us on the schedule. Kevin came out to spray just 4 hours later. He was very thorough, made sure he took care of the points on the outside as well as the inside. He also set expectations for when we should expect them to die off completely and to contact them to come out should we have any more issues. Two years later and we are still getting amazing service from the entire crew at Hatch Pest Solutions. They helped us solve our terrible rodent infestation and 2 years later we have been rodent free since. We are now on a quarterly service with them and couldn't be happier. Our cabin is in the forest and we are prone to mice, rats, spider and even had a few bats get in to our home. They are amazing at uncovering the access points and sealing them off. And they educate us so we are better able to find the access points ourselves. They continue to be thorough in their quarterly service and provide great reports and communication. Trying to find a reliable service company in the Big Bear area can be difficult at times. We've used a couple of similar pest control companies in the past with very unreliable service, especially for the cost. I came to our cabin to find that rodents had moved in. Yikes! They invaded the snack drawer and had wrappers all over the house. They covered the forced air registers in the ceilings with insulation and more wrappers. I emailed Hatch in the evening and had a telephone call early the next morning. They sent their service technician out promptly despite a heavy snow. Paul inspected the attic and outside of the structure and provided photos of where my critter was getting in. Thankfully, it turned out to be a chipmunk not a rat. That is so much easier to deal with. Paul set some traps and will monitor our progress in a few days. Thank you Hatch and Paul. His prices are also very reasonable, and he allows two weeks until payments are made. Therefore, if you are ever in a bind, you can still get service done. Excellent service! Wow. I'm blown away. I own an A-frame cabin in Lake Arrowhead that has a carpenter ant problem. I also do short term rental via Airbnb so taking care of this problem is important. I called regarding a bat in my home and the person who answered my call was very helpful immediately. She set up an appointment for me within within 2 days. Steve arrived at my home early, before the scheduled time. He was extremely kind and listened to all of my concerns. Steve was very thorough and found a bat within 5 minutes of arriving. He removed the bat safely and sealed all possible entry points. I was especially impressed with his official report before he began the work including pictures and a narrative of the assessment.
