I checked into Hathaway several years ago for Meth, alcohol, and painkiller abuse. My treatment lasted 3 months, which sounded like a long time but really wasn't. Followed by ongoing out patient treatment and volunteer work for a year and a half. The therapist Bianca encouraged me to, and Dina helped me enroll in Chaffee College in Rancho (which turned out to be a top 10 community college) which, along with my grades, allowed me transfer to my dream university, USC, and graduate with honors in business -- all from a guy who dropped out of high school a month before graduation. They were as accommodating with special circumstances (work, school) as they could be and that was enough for me. It was one of the few places in my life (maybe even the only) that felt like home and a sense of calm filled me just being away from the demands, and craziness outside world long enough to remember the smart, talented person I am without the drugs. The staff and patients were generally very nice, and it helps to have a sense of humor. But sometimes you get a bad apple in the bunch, or even a good person having a really bad day which can ruin the vibe for everyone. One "macho" guy even threatened to cut my throat, which if it wasn't for the staff being there might have ended badly for one or both of us; needless to say, he didn't last very long after that. Others kind of come an go, but the ones who really succeed at this stuff, in my humblest opinion, are the ones that (a) really believe in a higher power and/or that their life has purpose, and (b) ready to cut ties with their previous life (even with family), because they know if they are not willing to give up everything they know, the drugs and eventually the mental illness are going to take it from them anyway. But the beauty of recovery is you never really give up real friends and family, it simply weeds out those that genuinely care for you from the rest, and you literally recover everything you lost. Meaning, whomever or whatever is left in the end is exactly what you are going to need in the coming seasons of your life. I never meant for this review to be this long, but Hathaway is a very special place for me and I guess this a just a repayment of my debt of gratitude. Long story short, if you can't get clean, renew your purpose, and find out who your friends are there, in a beautiful mansion living like the 1% where you're every real need is either met or being worked on... Hathaway is much more than a mansion in Claremont. It is a Program that interlaces fundamentals of mental health trauma informed counseling with programming for addictions to alcohol and drugs. ( LCSW #21317) Working with adults is giving me the opportunity to help families heal from the wounds that an addict places on not only himself, but also on his whole social support system. Hathaway Recovery treats trauma counseling in addition to and alongside addiction counseling to optimize positive client outcomes. The program is highly individualized , culturally diverse with bilingual services. AA and NA meetings are held via Zoom several times a week and the daily structure provides time for meditation, structured group counseling, psychoeducation, and trauma informed clinical services twice a week or more as needed. Medically supervised detox and activities that reteach clients how to fill their leisure time with safe activities are also part of the program design. In the Recovery Program, the client is taken out of their demanding daily routine for an opportunity for secure and private treatment in a comfortable and protected environment. I am grateful to Hathaway Recovery because I have been sober for 73 days. I was at a very dark place in my life where I thought I was going to either die or go insane. I called Hathaway and their Doctor called me back later that evening and he was amazing. He spent a lot of time talking to me and assured me that Hathaway Recovery could help. The staff are very nice and took good care of me. I did not feel judged in any way and they let me know that I did not have to recover alone. The grounds are lovely and the house is spacious with beautiful rooms. Most of all, I always felt safe. My care plan was coordinated with the Doctor, Psychiatrist, Therapist, and counselors, all of whom were professional, competent and understand recovery. I celebrated my birthday at Hathaway and Nikki, the house manager, made sure I had a beautiful flower arrangement, doughnuts, a balloon and a cake! I also celebrated Thanksgiving at Hathaway and they provided us with a wonderful meal in the formal dining room with our family members in attendance. I believe I really benefited from the group sessions and learned a lot about addiction and co-occurring disorders such as depression and anxiety, all of which were addressed and included in my treatment plan. I have returned home and am attending AA meetings and implementing the skills I learned at Hathaway to continue my recovery. I am very confident that I will stay sober. Are food is garbage like destiny stated she will have her mom or family cook . She is charging patients insurance top money and going to Walmart to buy us the food that about to expire. Rotten lettuce tomatoes . Food is locked in the room you need to go to staff 10 times to come to open to give you a cookie or soup that the jail serve. If you care about you love ones please avoid this scam business and find places that will care about your love ones . Don't let her sell it to you on the phone. It's also funny how they tell prior patients that have an honest review that they've never been a patient there because they perceive it as negative rather than using it as an indicator that they need CHANGE. As for this yelp person..They use fake photos and a fake name, I'm not sure why. I met the person during my stay who said they were the ones who spoke to me but the name was different and their photo isn't them, clearly "Nicoles" pfp is an AI generated photo. I hope more people I was in here with speak up. This place is a money pit. I've had companies that they've worked with (for blood work or any other medical care) contact me, I don't think they know that but one company in particular has contacted me numerous times. I don't even know where to begin... I'll just cut to the chase and say the God's honest truth: Hathaway Recovery saved my life. I recently completed my rehab program, and I can confidently say that the experience was incredibly positive, largely due to the outstanding staff and their exceptional hospitality. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The team went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and care, making a challenging time much easier to navigate. The physical therapists were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring. They took the time to explain each exercise and tailored the treatment to my needs. I would like to say few words to all the readers about this treatment center And who are unsure who to trust. first and foremost I'd like to say that I did my research before choosing and trusting this place for my recovery and mental health treatment, I read a lot of reviews both positive and negative and I have to admit that at first I was very skeptical but among all other places I chose this place anyway and thank god I did. As a formal patient I have to say that I am very grateful and thankful to all the staff helping me with my recovery journey. Staff was amazing! The nurses, specially my favor nurse AA, the doctor JU, alway available to answer questions, the therapists and the counselors putting their 150% effort to accommodate my needs, to listen and understand my core problem to come up with solutions. Of course, I did my part, followed all the instructions and recommendations, most importantly took my time and stayed as long as recommended and here I am today, proudly writing a review for others who struggle and not sure where to start. Great facility and great people. A lot of ups and downs in the recovery journey but if you're looking for a place for true recovery, sobriety and individual care this is the place. In the program you will feel safe and pleased with all the accommodations and attention as well as staff that provides respect, care and compassion towards you. Everyone is very encouraging and motivated about the program and recovery. The most important aspect is that time fly's by and you don't feel like you're in a recovery program even though the majority of your day is structured with treatment. It does not feel like you're at a hospital or a state funded place, a beautiful house and back yard with a pool and basketball court for when you have time to relax to yourself. Staff is very understanding and accommodating especially through withdrawals and detox and even more so during mood swings and mental struggles. Overall an amazing facility for both substance abuse and mental health. If you're looking for a great treatment program filled with comfort, structure and a beautiful setting, Hathaway is for you. read more

This place is a joke. There is no treatment here. Dina is about the money. The amount of labor laws that are broken on the daily is horrible. Staff is abused and mistreated. If you really want to get treatment seek elsewhere. I worked here for 4 month and the patients would AMA due to lack of treatment. Toni the director got into an argument with Dina over patient care and left. Beautiful house with million dollar lies. The positive reviews on here are done by the owners friends. Review by Justin, he worked there Dina paid him to write reviews. Always understaffed. Should be 2 staff for every 3 patients. Not this place. 1 staff to 7 patients plus having to monitor the detox patients. No medical staff or nurse available. So called nurses are not licensed or still in school. Phones often not working. No way to call for help in an emergency. As you can see Dina does not care, if she did then she would not allow her office manager to respond as she does with disrespect. My sister was broken and was having mental breakdown lost her children custody and was actively using several drugs and alcohol. Our family was devastated. Writing this review is the list I can do for this treatment center who helped me to stand on the right path and saved my life. this is for everyone who really wants to recover form their addiction from any substance. You have to chose this place because first it is located in a very beautiful area among other above 5 mill houses, it's gorgeous two story house with pool, basketball court, gym, pool and small tennis tables. They offer everything, and I mean everything from A to Z. All you have to do is to show up with one thing DETERMINATION... As long as you determine to become clean and live normal life, they will give you the rest starting from motivation and proper tools with knowledge. I don't understand how someone can say that they use drugs at this facility. It just can't be! They literally strip you down and check all your belongings when you first go in. Before going to a program I was terrified. I did not want to go to a rehab but I knew I needed help. I was afraid that I was going to be around trouble makers and people I couldn't relate to. After going to Hathaway I am so grateful I went because it was nothing like I thought. Everybody there was loving and caring and really helped me through the hardest thing I have ever had to do, which was to admit I was an alcoholic. I had to learn how to live without drinking. I was killing myself, I was ruining my relationships and I did not realize I was a problem creating more problems. With the help of the medical team and the therapist and the counselors they made such a big impact. There was always someone there I could talk to and really helped me. Hathaway became like family to me. The other people there are people just like me who did the same things I did and they just wanted help, just like me. I am writing this on behalf of my fiancé. He went there and was there 30 days for addiction. They also helped take care of his mental health. He had round the clock care, he really enjoyed his therapy sessions and thought the doctors were nice. They also had weekly outings that he enjoyed. Movies, go carting, mini gold, restaurant outings. I see people complain about no maid services, imo and my fiance agreed it's better to have those there for addiction do their chores as it keeps them busy. You're there to get better and establish routine, not sit on your butt and be waited on like a guest in a 5 star hotel. I liked that his nurse stayed in contact with me letting me know how he is doing, sent pictures. They even printed a few pictures out for my fiancé to have in his room. If needed he would definitely go there again. Today is day 40 and he says he feels stronger than ever, his mental health is great compared to what it was. He's gained 30+lbs since and is looking very healthy! read more

I am very happy with the treatment I received at Hathaway. The staff and therapist really care about you and I think that's number one when choosing a place to recover. The therapist are top notch!!! The amount I learned in the 2 months I spent was incredible. I wasn't a huge believer in group therapy before I came but the impact it had on me will last a lifetime. I had some ups and downs in treatment but overall my experience was wonderful and any complaints I have are minute compared to what I am able to take away. They invest in what matters. Shout out to George and Nicole - You guys really are the best managers! It's also a beautiful location and the view of the mountains is absolutely gorgeous. Outings were super fun and they made my birthday super special (Thank you Dina!) If you have a desire to stop using, or have co-occurring disorders this is the place to go. Hathaway is a great rehab it's where I got clean let me start off by saying you can go to any rehab you want doesn't matter where if your not ready to quit you probably won't. For me I knew I was ready to quit they helped me out a lot Dina and the whole staff are great make use of all the outside meetings stick the NA meetings and keep in mind why your recovering do what they tell you make use of the gym the basket ball court and focus on recovery life's way better I used to be a active gang member with more then 10 years of drug use everything from heroin meth coke to alcohol with the help of Hathaway NA Church and my family I'm now sober for more then a year I have a job and life's changing for the better. Just remember to focus on why your doing it and to work your way to it don't too far ahead take it day by day and with hard work and determination you can change and things can get better! I have been very satisfied with the care of a loved one at this facility. From the front office- administration, admission we have found them to be very communicative, informative and clear about the process. The therapists and doctor have provided excellent care to this point, and we have seen some great strides toward recovery. The over all feel when visiting is warm and caring and this makes for a comforting environment. The feedback I have gotten has been very positive from my loved one and while we have a ways to go, there has been clear progress. I have been most impressed with the all of the hard work with admissions, disability etc. The process can seem daunting, but they have it down, and seem to be genuinely concerned about the well-being of clients. This place did absolutely nothing for me, residential setting, no phone, yeah there's tv, cable, pool, basketball court, pool table, food. No AA/ NA Can't hold onto a therapist they went through like 5 while I was there, and they came maybe once every other week for 40 minutes, no meetings, no recovery at all so you're just going to leave and get high like bascailly everyone who went through there. All they do is run up your insurance as much as possible, to top it off they take out insurance policies on people then fly them out to run it up, them give them the boot once they can't charge it anymore? How messed up is that, also pay people to bring them clients with "good insurance" human trafficking basically. Needs 5o be shut down asap. Also, I was getting high there the whole time but they let me stay cause my insurance was good. Go figure. read more
