I am not one to stay in the same place for very long. I have moved 7 times since 2006. This means that I have used 7 different moving companies. Moving is not my favorite thing to do. But at least with Haulin' Movers, it was easy! These guys are great! They are very hard workers. They never once complained about the heavy furniture! They were very conscientious about wrapping everything! And these guys ran back from the truck to the apartment! I mean some serious hustle! I have never seen a group of young men work so hard! I have already recommended these guys to three other friends and family. If you need movers, these are the guys to use! You won't be disappointed! read more

We hired them to move a small salon. From the very 1st phone call until the very end of the job they were professional, kind, & just all around great. The guys that showed up for the move were on time, beyond prepared, knowledgeable of what they were doing & handled everything with great care. We couldn't have asked for a smoother move. Worst moving company EVER! They refused to come see the job in advance (even though my husband requested it multiple times), consequently, they didn't send enough resources, tried to break the contract mid-move because they were ill prepared (actually told their staff to unpack the full trailer and leave). We had to use our rental trailers (which means we weren't earning with them...money out of our pocket) and we had to rent a U-Haul trailer too. Their staff packed the boxes just fine but didn't mark or didn't correctly mark the boxes. We had boxes marked fragile that weren't and fragile items in boxes with no markings. The young men they sent were polite and worked hard. That was the only high point. The owner is a jerk and his wife had to clean up the mess he created. She was very polite and professional. They did take money off our bill for the rentals. I do not recommend them. Stay far away from this company. read more

My move was scheduled for 8/20 at 8am for moving and packing service. When setting up the appointment, I answered a series of questions in order to be sure that the movers and packers would have the necessary supplies. I needed to refine the packing materials we needed and attempted to call the company 4 times over two days, with no calls back after leaving messages. I finally got through on 8/19 at 9:30am. I spoke with DEREK and he immediately came off as unknowledgeable of the previous conversation I had already had with him, and incredibly unprofessional as he continually referred to me as "dude." When DEREK and I spoke the morning of 8/19, DEREK asked me all of the same questions and knew nothing about my move. I told DEREK that I had already answered these questions and told him specific requests that we may need in terms of boxes for packing. His response when I asked if he had any of the previous information: "i don't know what to tell you, we're busy. You called me." I was shocked, but let him know that I called because I wanted to make sure we were ready for the move that was happening in less than 24 hours and I could provide better information about the packing we needed. He was very defensive at that point and then cancelled the move. He justified it in a later email by calling me threatening for asking for his name - I just wanted to know who would speak to someone in such a manner and see if it was the same person I had originally provided the information to (it was). Not only was my move cancelled without reason by DEREK, it was cancelled less than 24 hours before my move and only because I called the company for information. It seems other people have had a good experience. I guess you just need to catch them on a good day. Good luck if you choose to patronize these folks. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with haulin movers. The person that I booked with and communicated with until day of (I believe his name was Kyle) was very nice and very informative. My only grief with them is the amount of time it took for them to move my one bedroom apartment. It took them a little over 4 hours to move a one bedroom apartment into my new home. Towards the end, my mother and husband (I am pregnant so I am unable to lift boxes, which is why we hired the movers) ended up having to move boxes with them to hurry the process up because we were already 2 hours over the estimated time frame and did not want to get charged even more. They sent 2 guys to move us, one was very professional and you could tell he does this all the time. He was working nonstop. He mentioned to us he was about to go to the air force and you definitely could tell, as he was a clear worker. The other guy must have been new or something, because you could tell he really didn't know what to do. He needed direction from the other guy or he would just kind of stand in places and not do much and at one point dropped 3 boxes on a dolly in front of us. He was very nice, but seemed to need a little more training. I am mostly very happy with the service, they did a great job, I just feel with a little more training, the move could have been faster and less expensive. read more

I am happy overall with Haulin' Movers. They communicated clearly and reliably. They were on time. They packed meticulously and speedily. They were careful not to damage anything in transit. Slight demerit for not bringing masks along, especially on a move to and from assisted living facilities with predictable rules. Another slight demerit for not unpacking all boxes and taking away debris. This is partly my fault for not insisting. The movers were polite and professional overall. I'm very surprised at the response by the management. This was a 1 bedroom move not 2 bedrooms. As I mentioned I have moved several times in the past 5 years due to my employer moving locations. So I am quite a good judge of how long it should take to move my items. I have not added anything to my small household. This should have been a 4 hour move. 5 hours for 2 people moving slowly. 7.5 hours was ridiculous. I find it even more telling that in 10 days, time between my move & the time I posted in Yelp, I received no phone calls but the management had time to write a reply in Yelp & try to place the negative review back at me. BTW - I did not write the first review until I had reached out via a phone call to the office asking for the response I had been promised in the first place. Not great customer care. read more

Today, Joey and Josh packed up my 1 bedroom (with an additional study) in Galveston and moved it to a storage unit in Houston! They were friendly and professional. The rate for moving was extremely reasonable, especially considering how fast they were-- running back and forth from the moving truck to my apartment in the Texas heat. It only took an hour to load up my things and less than an hour to unload them (into a 3rd floor storage unit). I will be moving from my second apartment soon and will absolutely use haulin movers for this again due to the excellent service I received today. Thanks!!! read more

Overall the move was not great and there were multiple problems. The team that was sent were very young and were fairly careless. They broke one of our TV's and scratched and dented the wall along the entire staircase and it took way longer than expected. They did work very hard but were too inexperienced. The company did give us a discount on the move because of the TV, but I would not recommend them. read more

Hands down the best moving company I've ever used; I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I've moved countless times both in my military and personal life and today was the best experience yet. The 3 man crew was on time, eager to work and didn't stop from the time they started until my belongings were all safely unpacked in my new home. I was able to schedule the date I wanted last minute and they showed up on time. They handled all of the heavy stuff and didn't scratch any walls during the move in process. I booked these movers only 5 days in advance on a Saturday morning. The day of they called when they were on the way and showed up promptly on time. I just had to point to what I wanted moved and they were on it! They brought blankets and the big plastic wrap to protect my furniture. I wouldn't have thought it was possible to get everything out of my apartment in 30 min. Once we got to my new place, the guys seemed genuinely happy that I was on the second floor and saw it as a challenging workout. Joseph, Nicholas, and Diego were nice and professional throughout. It was my first time hiring movers and I don't think I'll ever go back to trying to do it myself! It was the most stress free move I've ever experienced. I thought we had found a winner moving company. They were on time and fast for the move out. The problem was on the return trip. Several of our pieces had deep scratches in them, the crew was not the original crew and were in a hurry, one of them followed me around for almost 2 hours wanting me to sign his contract saying they were done. They couldn't find the hardware for our desks and furniture until I said they need to do something to put everything back together. All of a sudden the hardware appeared. They still didn't put all desks fully back together. One of the guys had a little bit of an attitude with my husband. When I contacted the office about the scratches I was very upset and Derek was just wanting to close out the tab and get me off the phone. I felt rushed and I had to ask for 30 minutes for me to be able to look at the contract and speak with our furniture provider regarding the now needed repairs. Unfortunately for us, our pieces are no longer made and cannot be replaced. Derek offered money off the price of the move but I would have rather have had no scratches. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company as the damage was the worst I've ever experienced in moving our offices. read more
