Express Moving of S.A. did a great job with our Sep 3 move!! We were moving from one home to another only a few miles away, however we had a good amount of stuff. The three man crew arrived promptly and got to work right away. They were friendly, professional and efficient. The whole thing took a little more than 8 hours, but the crew remained upbeat and worked hard the whole time. I should also mention that the price was very reasonable compared to other movers that I contacted. There was a small hiccup at the end regarding a charge to my credit card but Ivan (the manager) worked it out so that everything was ok and I remained a happy camper...:-) These guys are consummate professionals and work hard to keep their customers happy. Furniture was totally damaged with these guys. A quote was given, but then on the day of the move after being loaded revised up by 1000$ because their equipment wasn't suddenly available and had to be rented from budget. When confronted about our damaged furniture, we were told that was our fault. Will never use again. They are not answering text or voice messages since we want to file a claim. read more

Positives: The moving crew was professional, courteous, and very helpful. No items damaged. Minor household damage. One of the nicest crews we've worked with in 27 years of moving! Negatives: Unfortunately, the move took much longer than estimated. Time = money. Crew were running behind for a 2nd customer, so owner asked if I'd cut them loose early with his promise they'd finish the job the following day. By this time, they'd moved all of our household goods in 9 hours (not 6, as estimated) but hadn't gotten to our storage items. They owner told me, "I will not charge you the two-hour minimum (fee)". I asked him, "This means there will no charge, correct?" to which he replied, "Correct". The following day, they ran late with another customer and could not tell me when they'd get to me. I learned of this after only after driving 25 miles and they failed to show up at the storage facility. We agreed to meet at the storage facility after skipping a day due to his non-availability. The crew arrived 20 minutes late and presented me with a bill for 1 hour's work. When protested and the discussion escalated, he pulled the crew and left me alone at the storage facility. I had to rent a truck at my own expense to move my items. While this may have been a simple miscommunication between two parties, the pattern of extra moving time needed, no-show, and running late suggests a disorganized company that does not value its customers. read more

We were taking furniture out of two storage units because ownership changed and wanted it my in my home. Wow they're rude!! They were awful on the phone and awful and making up lies or can't keep up with people that you're rude to. Owner left me a nasty private message on yelp saying they are trying to take this comment down due to defamation. I have every right to say how rude they are clearly!! I should be able to leave a review. I felt disrespected and his comments were concerning. Allowing prospective customers to know about Customer service is part of the point of yelp. PROFESSIONAL. The first term that comes to mind when describing Ivan, and his crew. Friday morning, when another well known, more expensive moving company botched our order, we called Express Movers. Ivan understood our situation, explained he might not have an available crew until late Friday evening, and he would call back as soon as he knew. We received a call at 5:00, stating a crew would be at our house by 8:00 that evening. And his word was gold. After Ivan explained his policies, he and his two man crew set to work. Every piece of furniture was covered with a blanket, plastic wrapped, then taken to the twenty-four foot truck. These three gentlemen worked diligently, with great communication and speed, and within an hour-and-a-half, had everything loaded and Tetrised securely. They followed us to New Braunfels, and unloaded our furniture with equal speed and efficiency; placing everything where we specified. Within three hours, the job was complete. I contacted Express Moving to pack a shipping container for an elderly relative in Texas. Ivan was super responsive and easy to work with even though I was located out of state. I hired express movers for an initial 4 hour window because that's the only increment of time allowed on uhauls site but they easily adjusted and accommodated my request for a whole house move, which took about 20 hours over two days to move about 2700 soft of house and garage. Richard, George, and Chris were all on time, were consummate professionals, and took great care with moderate speed and highly organized efficiency to wrap, pack, and move my family's belongings to our new home. They were courteous and attentive to our needs and asked plenty of clarifying questions to be sure our needs were met on this move. These guys are good! On time, main office needs to be more explanatory of services and entire process. Had two movers and appointment was for 2.5 hours- took 4. One mover stood around alot and the other was doing the majority of the packing and moving. That mover was efficient, speedy, and professional. I was unhappy with the way the truck was loaded. They put heavy boxes on top in the mothers attic, which made it difficult to unload! Some items were not strapped down enough. I found some items tossed on top of furniture and improperly wrapped or packed. At end of move, movers asked for my card information and a tip which was not discussed ahead of time. I'd already given the company my card info upon booking. I told the movers I'd call company to process payment. Suspicious - in my opinion. I'll be using another company next time. read more

I have use them twice in 2015 to help me with my move. Once in June to move into an apartment on the third floor. They were awesome and very professional and courteous and polite. They even setup and put boxes into the right rooms. The second time was in July. It was to move me from the apartment in June to my new house! I had Mike for both trips and he did an awesome job! After calling several companies we decided to go with Express Moving primarily on price. We just needed help with a few of our heaviest items, so the lower hourly price we were quoted (compared to other companies) and the lower minimum number of hours (2 hour minimum) appealed to us. We ended up only needing a little over an hour. The two movers arrived earlier than expected and were extremely careful with our belongings and courteous. There weren't any extra or hidden charges. I needed Ivan and his crew for a two-day loading/unloading job. He originally said he could only do the load on Friday, but after I detailed what would be needed for Friday, he managed to pull a smaller crew together for Friday for us. Ivan was very good about being in touch before the job and making sure everything was lined up properly. They were prompt on loading day, and worked diligently with a three-man crew until the truck was loaded. Of course, with a home purchase things happen, so we had to delay the unload on Friday. Ivan was very flexible about just having us call him when we were able to get into the new house, and they arrived promptly to unload. They squeezed us in for Friday, pulling two people off another job to come unload our truck, and got it done in less than two hours! I scheduled a move over a week in advance and they said they would come at 5. On my move date I waited until 6 to call because they haven't showed up yet. I called and left a voice mail only to have them return my call telling me they would come after 7. It would have been nice if they called me FIRST letting me know of their delay. Then call me at 9. When I answered and said, "hello?" They didn't even greet themselves or anything. They just answered saying "are you still at the apartment?". I literally left the apartment as they were driving passed the gate with their big white truck. No courtesy call letting me know they were on their way or anything. I told them to turn around and go home. I had things to do and couldn't wait for them any longer and they never bothered to call me to update me on when they would show up.
