Nice to see a new place in town, and the coffee is good too. When I asked for a "double" I got a "quad" though.

The food was okay, a little overpriced. We ordered two drinks and a croissant. The food on average was 3 stars. Friendliness of staff was about 1. They were very impersonal and rather cold. Has all the makings of a good coffee shop but just misses the mark. Basically, they talk the talk but don't walk the walk. First visit today, Latte was weak and not to temperature. Read: lukewarm milk that had an after taste of coffee. I will try again tomorrow to see how they take feedback and if the quality improves. Visit 2: Mentioned the issue with my Latte, the response from them was a mixed bag. They apologized but seemed annoyed I brought it up. The latte this visit was very good. Visit 3: (Today) After the 2nd visit I was fine giving them my business and I ordered / paid for my latte. Once they made it they confirmed with me that I had a "bad experience" once and they wanted to refund me for my latte today which was very nice of them. There was no attitude, no snottiness, just concern and customer service. My latte again was very good, if I had any reservations about this place they are gone now. Great recovery! read more

I have been to Haute Coffee a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The food is good and well priced. The service is pleasant. I was a regular customer at a different cafe in Concord, but have recently started going to Haute Coffee more after some negative experiences at the other place. I know when I come here I will always have good food and good service. read more

Yummy and worth the wait. The signature coffees are pour-overs, which I have no patience for. They slow down the line, but I think it's worth it. If you're lucky, they will have hot scones. read more

This place is trash. Do not go here. Their baked goods are all stale and boring, because they are not baked each morning, like a respectable bakery, but rather they get them on a truck every few days. The coffee takes obnoxiously long because the barista is trying to draw in your foam... Im not buying art, im buying coffee that i'll drink in 10 min so dont take 10 min to make it. The sandwiches could not be worse. They are flavorless and overly greasy. If your looking for a good sandwich- go accross the street to The Cheese Shop, and for good bakery items, accross the back parking lot to Sally Ann's. At Sally Anns's everything is baked fresh, everyday. read more

On a beautiful Sunday we drove 30 min. here for lunch loaded with anticipation. Based on the pictures I expected a diverse selection of goodies and lunch specials along with great coffee. The location was charming - an old alley storefront behind some shops on Walden St. Upon entering I was surprised to find a small galley kitchen with limited cooking apparatus and an espresso machine. There was a small selection of baked goods and a blackboard menu of light fare. No specials were available. I ordered an arugula salad with a poached quail egg and, avocado and tomato for $7 and sat down with my companions. I was shocked when my salad was brought to me on a 4 in. square desert plate. It consisted of a few forkfuls of arugula, two small slices of tomatoes two thin slices of avocado and the poached quail egg, which was hard boiled. The dressing was a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar. The turkey and veggie sandwiches my companions ordered were more normal but a bit expensive and plain tasting. They came with a few chips. The lattes we had afterwards were creamy but tepid. The coffee had a very unique taste to it but would have benefited from a darker roast to punch through the milk in my opinion. The granola bar we split for desert was delicious but syrupy sweet. Think baklava. We loved the ambience but would not go back for the coffee or the food. However, you may really like their unique coffee and should definitely give it a try. When you go stick to the coffee and the baked goods and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. read more

Since our first visit, we've returned several times and are now committed fans. While the coffee is the best around, the hot chocolate is nothing short of sublime! We've been making a weekly visit on Saturday afternoons and are never disappointed. There is always some sort of delicious baked good to go with it, too. On Valentine's weekend, we had excellent frosted shortbread-type cookies, and this past weekend a scrumptious almond croissant from Iggy's. The only thing, if I have to find something, is that the laptop brigade has discovered Haute Coffee. Seating is a little tight at times, and I wish they would go to Concord's lovely library rather than take up entire tables (sometimes with no sign of food or drink) for hours. Perhaps the management can watch out for this during particularly busy times, so paying customers don't have to stand clutching mugs and plates hoping for someone to notice. The laptoppers turn a blind eye, while other paying customers usually clean up when they might have lingered a bit longer. read more

Let me begin by saying that I only gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly...if it wasn't for the friendly staff I would have given them 1 star. I read the reviews before I decided to try something different then my usual coffee shop and boy was I disappointed. I ordered my daughter a Soy Mocha Late that had no coffee or chocolate flavor. I ordered two special Maple Late which once again had no coffee taste whatsoever. I also ordered two breakfast sandwiches....if you can call them sandwiches...they were made on brioche rolls that looked more like dinner rolls then a sandwich roll. I also bought a butternut squash tartine. Although the breakfast sandwiches were tasty, I felt like I still needed breakfast after eating it because it was so damn small..the worst part about all of this is that it cost $35.....I repeat $35 for horrible coffee (if you can call it coffee) two extra small breakfast sandwiches and a tartine...I know this is Concord but that is ridiculous for the portions we received. I will never go back there again. If you are looking for something overpriced and average at best then maybe you will like it..but trust me it is not worth the money. read more

All I can say is I am in LOVE! A friend took me here for the first time yesterday and I cannot wait to come back. I ordered the turkey avocado bacon sandwich, which sounds pretty basic, but this sandwich was awesome! I also inhaled the most scrumptious cupcake I ever had, a coconut cupcake. I wish I had ordered a latte, but alas, I was tempted by the Orange Spindrift soda, which is one of my favorites. Oh well, a reason to come back soon. To those reviewers quibbling over the prices: how many mediocre meals have you eaten for just a few dollars less? I myself am so desperately tired of paying moderate to even expensive prices for "meh" food. I am more than willing to pay a couple of bucks more for a wonderful meal, served by a very friendly, patient, and competent staff, in a lovely environment.
