At the ago 45 my hair would not grow past my shoulders from coloring it blond for so many years. I knew that getting extensions was risky and not a cheap investment. I picked Ashley through yelp. From my first point of contact, Ashley was quick to return a call, set up my appointments, and accommodate my schedule. From the first time meeting Ashley, she was so professional, so loving, so kind. Her heart broke for me and my situation. She was invested in more than making money off of me. She was honest about the up keep and never did I feel that Ashley was in this business just for the prophet. It's four years later. I still go to Ashley. I don't share too often that my hair is fake. Pride maybe? But when I do, people are shocked. My real hair has grown so much. I keep the extensions because of the volume and the quality of the hair. I have been going to Ashley for over two years. I have been experiencing health issues which have caused hair loss- and her amazing expertise has been able to hide it. Before I even committed to hair extensions, I spent several months researching microlinks and professionals who install them. After reading her reviews and my initial appointment with her, I knew that she was the one that had the most skill and would not damage my thinning hair. Ashley is truly amazing when it comes to color match. My medication has started to make my hair darker, but I have never had to dye it. She knows exactly how to blend the extensions with my biological hair so that I don't have to add more stress or breakage to my own. In fact, because of her method, my hair has actually grown and become thicker. I currently live in Tucson. It is a little over a two hour drive to see Ashley- but it is so unbelievably worth it. I have very fine hair, and female pattern baldness. I have done extensions for the last few years. But always did heat or clip in extensions. After seeing Ashley I realized a healthier option was clip in. I was concerned about the weight on my hair. I instantly was shocked with how light it was on my hair. I was able to do a longer set. I also was educated on what products to stay away from by Ashley with extensions, most people don't get take care if them as they should and use sulfate or alcohol based products that make your hair dry out fasteer and need new extensions. With the proper care I have usually seen ashley about every 4-6 months depending on the seasons and my legnth preference. Ashley is fantastic, and she will accommodate special requests for weekends, contrary to other reviews on here, you just have to be patient for that appointment because they fill up fast! She is also willing to fix and solve any problem that comes her way. I got a bad set once (which was a manufacturer's issue not hers) Not only did she replace it at zero cost but she canceled that extension manufacturer and found a better one that is 1000% better. I've been a customer of Ashley's for about 2 years now and I've never had an extension fall out. At my most recent apt I had all my extensions removed prior to getting new ones and I was pleasantly surprised with how great the condition of my hair is, I have no breakage, which means she is doing a great job and that I follow her care plan. Ashley is easy to communicate with to make appointments and reschedule appointments, she is very dependable! I also love that her studio is private so you don't have onlookers judging you. I originally saw Ashley as I was interested in the microlink method as I had hoped it would be a safer and less damaging option for my hair. She was very thorough when I had reached out inquiring to know more and had what I thought were great reviews on Yelp. I decided to move forward with her services. I will say that I have platinum blonde hair and the extensions that were put in at the time didn't match well and were not the right color blonde. Something to keep in mind depending on the color of your hair. I ended up having to have my hair stylist tone them to get the color to match which ended up helping a lot. My real concern and frustration comes down to the fact that I was informed I could go about 4-5 months without needing to move up the extensions... After talking to other hair stylists about the method and what I had experienced this amount of time seems almost unheard of and I have been told that extensions should be moved up about every 6weeks as your hair grows out to avoid damage to the hair. I ended up seeing Ashley twice once to put them in and once to get them moved up as they were being moved up I wasn't able to see how my hair had held up after having them in so I had assumed it was okay. It was always very hard to schedule an appointment with her unless it fell on a weekday before the hours of 4pm.. she didn't work weekends at the time and was not able to accommodate evenings. With my work schedule this just didn't work for me so I decided I would give my hair a break altogether. I went to another hairstylist at the time to get them removed because I couldn't get in with her and once they were out I was in tears by how my natural hair had looked. I will say I had healthy and fairly long hair beforehand that was fine and after my hair was so damaged, broken with more than half of my length gone... I had regretted my decision to ever get extensions not thinking that my hair would ever suffer as much damage as it did. I wish I had known that this method was not the best fit for my fine hair and had been more informed from her. However, more importantly I wish I hadn't been told I could go months without needing to move the extensions up as this was not what was best for my natural hair or what it could handle. I believe a big part of the damage to my hair was due to that alone as I always took very good care of my hair ensuring I was gentle in my maintenance of it and used only the best products. I'm still working to get my hair back to a place where it is healthy it has taken a very long time and I'm not sure it will ever be the length it originally was. I hope by reading this one does their research to ensure that this method is truly the best option and fit for them as it was not for me. read more

Ashley is great and so is the hair she uses! I was going to another salon for a year and a half and finally left because I was having so many problems with the hair they were using. It was either turning yellow/orange after a couple months or getting extremely knotted, tangled, and dry. I was so discouraged because I had spent so much money on hair that was not working. Then I found Ashley. She put a pack of tapes in the back and itips on the sides. I've had them in my hair for 4 months now and they are still great. I love the texture. The itips work well for me on the sides because I like to put my hair in a messy bun and ponytail. I'm going in for my second bump up this week (I usually go every 7.5-8 weeks). She is always super accommodating. Even when she's crazy busy (of course I wanted bump ups just before Christmas and Valentine's). She made it happen. Highly recommend! read more

It has been 2 months since Ashley gave me hair extensions and I couldn't be more thrilled. I don't have one complaint about the whole process. The consultation and color match was quick, yet thorough. I was surprised how quickly time flew during the installation. I thought I would be bored. I went from super fine and thin, barely medium length hair to long, beautiful hair. After a cut with my regular stylist to add long layers, I can tell you that I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY with my hair! It looks great every day no matter how I style it (& even when I just let it dry). I waited a bit to write this review.. Ashley impressed me and was pretty amazing right from the start. I didn't want to give my fellow yelpers a biased opinion of the product and services until I really lived in the hair. Extensions are expensive and a commitment. I was in the Scottsdale area for the holidays so... I did my research.. I made my consult appointment and POOF... I have great hair! I've had this long gorgeous hair now for 3 weeks... Ashley has been doing my amazing hair extensions for almost a year and half. She is AMAZING. I love the fact that when I visit Ashley for my appointments, I am the only client in her studio. Ashley is the absolute BEST at what she does--installing beautiful natural looking extensions while maintaining the integrity of your natural hair. When I first came to Ashley in 2013, my hair was literally destroyed from another place where I had been getting my extensions done. I was very hesitant to go through the whole process again--time, money, etc. but I just couldn't take my short, uneven, damaged hair anymore! So I really took my time and did extensive research to find the best in Scottsdale and that is when I came across Ashley. I called many other salons, went to their websites but ultimately decided on Ashley to do my extensions and am Soooo glad I did!! From the beginning she was so sweet and took time to answer my many questions through email without ever making me feel like I was bothering her. I came in for a consult and she expertly matched my hair to her color samples to pick out 3 different shades to get the exact blonde full of dimension that I I was going for. About a week later I came in to get them done and the whole experience and results surpassed all my expectations. Ashley has a nice private studio which was really nice and just made the experience that much more relaxing. But even more important were the results...and they clearly showed Ashley's level of expertise. She is very meticulous and thorough in each and every extension she places in your hair. Over the years I've had my extensions done at many different places but no one had ever made it look as natural and full as Ashley did. It might sound silly but I left her studio with long gorgeous hair and a confidence I hadn't had in several months. What really make Ashley superior to others is the type of extension, method she uses and her expertise in placing them, doesn't damage your natural hair AT ALL! In fact, after getting them out (to have her re-do them after several weeks), my natural hair was longer than it had been in a lonnnng time! I couldn't believe it! Worst experience I've ever had. Had a consult and determined that I needed wavy extensions. Showed up for my appt. and had wrong type of extensions. I didn't realize this until I washed my hair and they didn't blend at all. Also, the extensions were dry and knotted all the time even with all the products that had to be used on her extensions. I called her and she just said just use mouse on the extensions. She didn't try to make it right on any level. I went to another salon which I paid half the price and they were wavy soft and didn't knot. I had 3 months of dealing with these extension and wouldn't suggest that anybody have to do the same. I emailed Ashley in a beauty crisis. My extensions that I had done somewhere else were falling out, they were causing me pain and just generally looked horrible. She responded immediately and was so kind. I was in her chair ASAP and she worked WONDERS. It's been well over a month and my extensions still look and feel flawless. I have the hair I've always wanted and it's causing no damage to my natural hair. My natural hair is actually growing again! Both her and her assistant were a dream to work with and I seriously can't recommend Ashley's business enough. If you want extensions this is hands down the place you HAVE to go. I have had extensions for the past 10 years...every kind imaginable (fused,taped,clip in, sown in, etc) and I can say without a doubt that Ashley has done the best job of any!!! She took her time to make everything look right and even though it all took several hours to accomplish, the time passed easily. I felt comfortable in her studio, chatting with her, kicking back watching TV. and reading a magazine. I have had my extensions from Ashley for 5 weeks now. I am so happy I found her and took the plunge. I have foil highlights and she so perfectly matched my hair - even my regular hair stylist is amazed at the work Ashley did, she said her installation is perfect - her rows are so meticulously installed. At my hair salon they only do glue type extensions and they are so expensive. I can't imagine going to anyone but Ashley and I live 2.5 hours from her studio. My natural hair is baby fine and I do need to be a little more careful than some people but I figured this going into the process. My experience with Ashely has been amazing right from the beginning. I first met with Ashley in August for a consultation. She was very thorough in explaining the whole process and I could tell she was very detail oriented and cared a lot about my concerns, something you really want in a person doing your extensions! I found Ashley three years ago on Google when I moved to Phoenix and was in need of hair extensions as a result of a very bad haircut. First I was skeptical of hair extensions since my hair has been very fine and thin since my early 30's but after first consultation with Ashley I decided to go ahead and have my first ever hair extensions put in. She did a great job, making my hair look natural and sleek, I've been a customer of Ashley since then for this service. Contrary to my concerns my hair did not get thinner or damaged with prolonged wear but as a result of her good work my hair actually grew substantially. Hair extensions require both financial and time commitment, but with good care and periodic replacement your hair will look nice and stay healthy. Ashley only puts in the right amount and length appropriate to your hair texture and also educates you on how to properly care for your hair and when to redo the extensions in order to prevent damage to your natural hair. The hair she purchases for her clients is very good quality and never mats or knots, even with our Arizona hot summer that requires more frequent washing. I constantly get compliments by my hair stylist/colorist on what a great job she does and that Ashley's work is one of the best quality that they see in their Scottsdale salon.
