Over $600 to fly with pets and change hotel to pet friendly and buy all supplies and spent vacation driving extra because the hotel was so far away from the city. No follow up call from PP during this. Once I left negative feedback we got a call and further excuses claiming they emailed me the day prior to the reservation about the vaccine date which is a lie as the manager the day of the reservation said they had the ALL CLEAR and there was NO reason for them to "double check" previously reviewed reservations. Excuse me but needing a vaccine date for an upcoming or day off reservation but claiming an email was their ONLY communication attempt is ridiculous. They call and confirm, they send text reminders, etc. We had NONE of this. In the end we were offered a one night free stay for each cat for next time which is about $100 - as IF we will be booking again. Moral of our experience is if you book call and confirm but also remember this is a corporation and they do NOT care about people. The employees are nice but also remember they just work there. Will have to now find a better option before our next trip.

I immediately contacted David, the owner of Mutt Puddle, and expected a genuine concern for my dog and an effort to make things right. Instead, I received a lengthy email focused on a "miscommunication" regarding the grooming but no concern for my injured baby. Heartless attitude! I wasn't looking for a fight or making an unreasonable inquiry. To me, the solution was simple: acknowledge that my dog was injured, show some concern, and offer any kind of refund as a gesture of doing good business. This experience was extremely upsetting for our family. Our Maltese, Tina, is very tiny, well behaved, and very vulnerable. Now I worry how this experience wiill affect her with another groomer. Today I was notified that Mutt Puddle removed my Yelp review (prior to this one). I decided to re-write this, a lot less details, and take back my voice. This was a first hand experience, my dog, her injuries, my communication with the salon, and their response. I wasn't repeating something I heard from someone else. A negative review may be uncomfortable, but when something goes wrong, I believe a business should address the customer with a solution rather than work really hard at making the negative reviews disappear. My WARNING is simple: Before trusting this grooming salon with your dog, read their negative reviews everywhere you can. Positive reviews are easy to write, negative reviews tell you more about their business ethics. I learned the hard way that they hide behind policies created to protect them, including harm & death while in their care. Read their policies, then decide if something like this happens to you, would you be okay if they handled your situation like they did mine? Although all pet salons like Mutt Puddle are not regulated by the state of Texas nor require a license.. take the time to find a salon that does hire groomers who invest in their tools and earn certifications in their trade. Believe me, you'll notice the difference in attention to grooming details, passion, and customers service!

Due to bad weather recently we took our fur baby Sabrina to a groomer near our home based on a…read morerecommendation from another person. Sabrina weighs nearly 60 lbs. She was larger than the other dogs we saw when we arrived. It was apparent to us the groomer was used to doing only small dogs. When we picked her up we made the mistake of not completely checking her over. When we got home we noticed one ear was longer than the other and her face was not trimmed symmetrically. Needless to say we will not be going back to that groomer again. We have been taking Sabrina to UltiMutts for several years now. Sabrina LOVES JULIE and it is obvious Julie feels the same way. She is due for another groom in a few weeks and we can't wait to see Julie again.

Also, they don't allow pickups on Sunday so we are forced to board our dogs another night which is really disappointing. Why not set up a small window for pick up on Sunday with a small charge and maybe limit the check outs? You are there taking care of the animals anyway so what's the big deal? We would gladly look past the double charge for our larger dog if you could make an adjustment in your availability. But really, what is the difference in price for anyway? It's not like there was grooming, food or any other service that would require 'more' of anything....

This is by far our favorite! The other dog resort that might come close is a similar concept outside Louisville, KY. Small high quality care not big business with volume discounts. There's a place for hug volume and big discount but I don't think my dog's care is that place. Castle Creek has limited people hours which helps to keep the focus on caring for our dogs. I'm so grateful for that focus! Yes, I would like to pick up on Sunday but we just plan our trips around the posted hours of business. We do NOT view it as a fault of the business. We actually respect the fact that they give their employees family time on Sunday. We ask the hours of operation so we know how to plan our trips and dog pick ups . Utah, Dez, Dayshia and the tech team in the back truly care! When we drop off our dog, who has separation anxiety, she cuddles into their arms peacefully. When we pick her up, she is happy to see us but not stressed at all from her stay. It's so amazing that we can leave her without concern of her separation anxiety messing up her intestinal track. She comes home healthy and regular! She is on a strict diet and they clearly carefully adhere to it!
