Disappointed by the lack of professionalism, communication and service. I had a great experience with Courtney prior so I specifically requested her at her availability and found out during pick up, another groomer groomed my dog without any explanation. I specifically asked if any issues occurred during the grooming, was told no and discovered 30 minutes later at home that both sides of my dog's neck was shaved too closely with skin irritation, rashes and his eyes watering nonstop for 2 days. I attempted to contact them via telephone and email to no response. Very disappointed and do not recommend. read more

I was in search of a new groomer especially after not being able to groom my dogs for quite some time due to COVID-19 restrictions. Luckily I was able to get a last minute appointment with Classic Canine Pet Spa, which is a place one of my pups is familiar with as he took training classes here! All of the staff here are very genuinely nice and friendly. My girl pup is very wiggly and active, and instead of having to deal with her, they embraced and loved her wiggliness. They even took pictures of our pups during our visit, showing us how silly they were. They took good care of them and also gave us a report card for both, in which they said they were a delight to groom. They looked so good, smelled so nice, and looked so happy after their visit to the spa! Pricing was very reasonable. Also what won me over was their flexibility and overall customer service. Beware ! My regular groomer was booked 2 months out so I was forced to try this place. Was quoted 100 over the phone. Was told it could be slightly more if matted badly. When I arrived he was shaved to the skin had 5 spots on his body he was bleeding from. Courtney tried to charge me 216.00 !! More than doubled what she quoted me. Read the reviews from Amisha and MR where she did the exact same thing. After refusing to pay 216, she reduced the price to 162.00 and asked me to take my business elsewhere. At the very least, she could have called me beforehand to inform me the price would be more than double what was quoted and that he would be shaved to the skin and may have multiple cuts on his body. Too many others better options in town to deal with this spot. read more

I called and spoke with Courtney and told her my story about one particular dog that need some special TLC as he was a rescue. She seemed very nice and very caring. I asked many questions and specifically asked about pricing and after a nice discussion, I decided to bring all 4 of my dogs in. I was completely surprised at the price she gave when I picked them up. She totally changed the price discussed and tacked on fees, like handling fees and other fees weren't discussed at all. And that was "supposedly" with a discount because I was new. I also asked for a receipt, which I did not get. In addition, my older, blind dog that I was not even concerned about acted up which he has NEVER done at any groomer ever! Courtney is way over priced, not honest, and makes up her Own fees as she goes. I DO NOT recommend this place and will never use again!! read more

I have known Courtney, Daniel and the rest of the team for many years and they are the only ones that I would ever trust to groom my three border collies. My dogs are always happy to go there and look great when I go to pick them up. They do an excellent job of getting out the thick undercoat which cuts down on so much shedding. If I could give zero, I would. Took my dog yesterday with an appointment made online weeks ago. My 3rd visit with Courtney. My dog was left there for over 4 hours! When questioned, we were told priority is given to clients who PAY EXTRA to have their dogs groomed! This is a violation! No where on the website does it state that extra money gives you faster service for clients who have booked in advance. They call it Express, but no mention about paying more. If they take bribery in advance, all clients should be aware and it should be in black and white on their website. read more

We moved here a few months ago and as we acclimated to our new life, our 2 fur babies suffered by getting overgrown and in dire need of a good cleaning. This was our first TX grooming experience I can't begin to explain how happy I am with their new cuts! They look adorable and I can honestly say it's the best cut either of them have ever had. Not sure how they receive so many high reviews. They cannot follow simple instructions. I asked both of my dogs to not be separated when I made the appointment. They said it wouldn't be a problem as they had a large kennel for them both. I show up, they're separated and one of my dogs is in the back and can be heard crying, which is why I asked them both to be together. I asked why are they separated and got a BS response. I said only use grinders on their nail trimmings, they clearly used the clippers instead because it is evident. Finally, I was told they'd be there for 3.5 hours, and that turned into 6. When I picked them up, I asked if they had been let out to pee and they said no. I wonder how many times the staff used the bathroom within those 6 hours. Will not be going back. Not too bad of a job. I so feel like it's a bit pricey compared to other places I've been. But over all, a pleasant experience. Called early the 3 of July and they got my Marshmallow in the same day! Highly recommend for cats too! Brought in my long haired, sweet but skittish cat to get a summer cut. It was her first time at the groomers and they did a wonderful job keeping her calm. BUYER BEWARE!! My regular groomers were booked, so I decided to give this place a try. When I called in, Courtney asked what type of breed did I have and how much did he weigh. I told her and I explained specifically what I wanted to have done with him. I wanted his paws shaved, trimmed along the bottom of his belly and between his two back legs, that's it! She said okay, that also includes a bath, nail trim and anal glands and that it would be $45 (NOT starting at $45)! I took my miniature long haired dachshund in today and when I went to pick him up, she said it would be $59?? I explained that is not what I was told on the phone. Then she made up an excuse that "Well, she had to cut a little more hair up his legs behind his paws". I explained to again when I got there what I specifically wanted done with him, which was his paws shaved, trimmed along the bottom of his belly and between his two back legs. I've taken my dog to other places and have always been told up front the cost involved and never had any problems. When I looked into the Classic Canine Pet Spa, I took the time and read several of the reviews. Most of them were positive but there was one from a few years back that had experienced what I just experienced about being told one price and charging another. I thought that the business had learned by their mistake of not being honest up front with their customers, but I was wrong. That should have been a red flag for me right there. I wanted to try this place because they had really good reviews online and came out so disappointed! BEWARE OF PRICING!!!!! Our dog is a medium 10 month golden doodle that is 48 lbs and 22 inches. Medium dogs are less than 22-50 lbs. I called the spa for pricing and the lady told me $75 for medium golden doodle. I specially told them to the groomer that I didn't want to shave all his hair constantly before leaving and just wanted to trim him up so that he stay fluffy. When I came to pick him up, they COMPLETELY shaved his whole body (I CAN SEE HIS SKIN) and were asking for $162.38!!!!! They were claiming that he is consider a LARGE dog but a 48 lbs dog is MEDIUM. I've seen large goldendoodles that are 75-85 lbs! My dog isn't that tall and heavy to be considered large. BAIT AND SWITCH! This is not good business to tell me how will charge $75 for a medium dog on the phone and then after service, claim that he is actually a large dog (which he is not) to charge $162! I only pay $100 at PetSmart and they specifically groom my dog the way I ask them to! I'm never coming back to this place again.
