My husband and I had pretty early reservations for 6:15 on a Saturday and when we got there only a couple of other tables were occupied. By 7:00 the place was steadily filling up. It's a smallish restaurant but they also have seating outside. From what I understand they do have an area for private parties. We were seated and given our menus and told about the house specials. I ordered the taglioline cacio e pepe and my husband got the fettuccine meatballs. All the pastas in the restaurant are homemade and the one I ordered was prepared table side in a cheese wheel. I don't even know where to start except to say that this was so delicious and definitely one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. The cheese sauce was so creamy and there was a slight taste of truffle in there. They ask you if you'd like pepper in it so I had them add a little bit to cut out some of the creaminess of the sauce. My husband's fettuccine was equally as delicious and I loved the meatballs and I'm usually not a person who likes restaurant made meatballs because I think mine are the best! For dessert we split a slice of tiramisu and it was very good. Sangria was very good as well. Mimmo, the owner and chef came over to say hello and to make sure we were enjoying our food and service. It was really nice chatting with him and I told him that we are definitely going to be repeat customers! For the main, we ordered two traditional pasta dishes that absolutely delivered: Cacio e Pepe which was served tableside in a parmesan wheel. The bolognese a combination of pomodoro, pork and beef - meaty, and full of flavor with a little hint of sweetness from the tomatoes. It was comforting and so satisfying. I'm not a big tomato girl--usually get heartburn--but everything was so fresh and balanced that I felt great afterward. That says a lot! You know dessert was a must! I tried the tiramisu - Light, creamy, and not overly sweet. A well-balanced classic. Omg the Caramel Cheesecake is a must! Kind of a silky texture from the Carmel but decadent just the same - divine. This used to be our go to place but their Mother's Day money grab really left a bad taste in our mouth. We came last year for Father's Day with a party of 14 and had a great time. This year for Mother's Day we booked another party of 14 but we're very surprised to see a fixed menu of $60 per person upon arrival. One app, pasta only no sides, protein extra, no dessert. Are you kidding me??!!By the way no mention of this when we made our reservation. Tucked away in the western burbs of Southwest Ranches behind some warehouses is a cool little find of an Italian restaurant called Prosecco 22. Once you step inside, the brick paneling and dim lighting belie the location. Ms. Ladyfriend and I were looking for a quiet Friday dinner after a busy workweek, and this hit the spot. Our service was pleasantly casual; we also loved the molten chocolate cake presentation at the end. We skipped appetizers and went straight to main course while saving space for dessert. By the way, they did have both our usual vittles of Pinot Grigio and Moscato by the glass. I enjoyed their classic fettuccine with meatballs. The noodles were a little past Aldente, and the marinara sauce a little on the sweet side a la Steve's Pizza #iykyk This was actually pretty cool. The meatballs did taste a little extra Smokey s / dry though. My ladyfriend ordered the lobster ravioli, and as I am here, writing this review and still alive, shows how clean the ventilation and food preparation is. We went on a Sunday right after they opened. You can't really see the restaurant from the street so if you've never been there, you may have to rely on your GPS. The service was great. The food was delicious. We ordered the octopus to start and then the pasta with pear dish, and pasta with seafood and a couple of sodas. No room for dessert. Parking is in the front. Decor is nice. Came here the other day to get an early dinner with my parents. Food was incredible. Had a Cacio e Pepe which was super fricking good. Mixed in the cheese wheel in front of you and everything. My parents shared a carbonara and had the steak and chicken dish respectively. We also ordered meatballs as an appetizer which were very tasty. Staff was a bit all over the place, not sure if it was a bad day or what. But the place is also so dark, not sure if they have it that way on purpose but they definitely have to up the brightness in there a bit. read more

It was our first time there so I didn't know what to expect though. We got seated in the first section near the bar. We shared the burrata prosciutto appetizer. It was tasty. Of course, wished there was more bread. I got the ossobuco ravioli my wife got the gnocchi. The portion looked tiny but there were a fair number ravioli on top of each other. It was very tasty. Could I have eaten more? Yes. My wife said hers was very melt in your mouth. To drink, we had a couple of their prosecco cocktails. I forget the exact flavors but some were stronger than others. We got dessert to go since we're old and lame. The tiramisu was decent later that night. Service was mediocre. We were left alone a bit. Prices are not low. We were a group of 10 celebrating Mother's Day. The food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed the quality of the dishes. However, the pricing was disappointing. The restaurant offered only a fixed menu for $60 per person, which included an appetizer and a pasta dish without any protein. In addition, a 20% service charge was automatically added to the bill. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Our server seemed disengaged, and we had to repeat our orders several times. They had a special for the night for Buy One Get One drinks (for each person). We opted in for this because, why not?! I have always heard about their tableside cheese wheel for Cacio e Pepe and HAD to get it. It did not disappoint with both the show and the taste. My friend got the gnocchi. Our dishes didn't come with any protein so we both added chicken to round out each dish. Everything was so tasty and I'll be dreaming about that Cacio e Pepe til next visit! The drinks were all so good, we each tried some of their spritzes. They don't have a full bar but they do have a good amount of drinks to pick from. The spritzes were all amazing with a good amount of buzz and taste in each sip! The service was great and very attentive. They checked up on us the whole night and even gave great recs. I was hopeful for this place, and as much as I want to give it a great review my experience wasn't great compared to other Italian places where I've been. The service was...awkward. While they were mostly courteous they took a while to get our order and had a hard time engaging with us socially. We were the only party at the restaurant on the 4th of July evening for almost 3 HOURS! The food was okay. The portions were small for the price and it took a long time to come out. Wild doing a lemon chicken with pale cafeteria looking chicken. Wild. Also serving the cafeteria chicken ON A PLASTIC CUTTING BOARD IS WILD Lmao. I'm already filled with plastic, I don't need to add more cutting my chicken on a plastic CUTTING board. The music selection was great, though. They had a playlist of Italian classics going. And as a heads up the spaghetti's agilio & olio was good but had actual garlic cloves in the dish. Overall I very much enjoyed the pasta that felt light and never heavy in any way ( just the way pasta should be ). For dessert, we ordered the featured gelato which was a perfect way to wrap up a great meal. At the very end, we were given an Italian digestivo limoncello shot to wrap up a great dining experience As for service, our server was super great. He was great in educating us about all the dishes and the opportunity where we could change out the pasta noodles for any of the dishes, and during the cheese wheel demonstration performed table side when I ordered the popular Cacio & Pepe dish. And the time between dishes was well spaced out, as we carried on in conversation and the food was worked in serving our dishes seamlessly throughout our dining experience. This may be the most authentic Italian food I've had outside of Italy. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all divine. We received top-notch service. They were very attentive and explained the delicious menu. It is located in a quiet strip that looks like a warehouse, definitely a hidden gem. To start, I got the Sorrento spritz, which brought me right back to Sorento. As an appetizer, we got the meatballs, which were as close to Grandmas as I could find. The star of the show was definitely the cheese wheel pasta. It was absolutely phenomenal! I'd go back every day just for the pasta. It was that good. They also made one of the most authentic carbonara dishes I've had. Not pictured was the affagado, which I completely forgot to take a picture of, but it was delicious. The prices are pretty compatible with other spots around the area. I would definitely go back here for top star service, atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food. The service staff is 5 star, that's why they received a 3. The food for an Italian restaurant is 1 star. How can you under cook pasta? Where do I start... It's crazy that this restaurant is where it is, it belongs in the gables or in Wynwood. The food here is just incredible. The chef/owners story is also great. This restaurant is up and coming and will definitely only get better. The chef told us to prepare for authentic Italian cuisine and boy was he right. I'm not 100% sure about this place. Everyone seems to rave about it but I'm not sure if it's because out west we don't really have amazing Italian places and maybe it's a new hot spot. But I'm only speaking about the food. I have been here twice and the food didn't do it for me and I have not wanted to go back. I tried the pasta that is made in the large cheese and it was overly seasoned for me. I really wish they would tone it down in the seasoning because the cheese and cream alone with a little bit of salt is more than enough flavor for a delicious classic pasta. I was very underwhelmed! I later tried another dish that was a pesto pasta and it seemed to have too much oil. I was not the only person in my group that wasn't completely blown away by the food. I genuinely did enjoy their service and I could tell that that may be the main reason why this place is so busy and so successful. The service is great, ownership is friendly and the servers are completely on point. The restaurant is beautiful and new and very fun to hang out at, even though it's small. It's perfectly situated in a plaza out west where there's not much else around and it's nice to be away from the busy streets of Florida. I REALLY hope that management or ownership travels a little more and simplifies their pasta dishes a little more and I'll come back and become a local. read more
