The office is nice, clean, and you can watch Netflix during longer appointments (a nice distraction). There is some construction in the reception area right now, but it didn't impact my visit. In both visits, Dr. Kim was excellent. She is very empathetic and took time to explain to me what was going to happen / how long things would take / etc.

I was perplexed as to why I was forced to put a debit card on file when I wasn't using a debit card to pay for my visit. If your office cannot provide definitive treatment during an emergency visit because the necessary provider isn't available, patients deserve to know that before they arrive, especially when the whole purpose of the visit was an emergency.

Bringing along a small pillow for behind my head helped in my comfort: just a tip if you're tall. Also, because of my height, it was difficult to place myself bodily in their secondary x-rays-chair in one of their offices without contorting myself. But again: not everyone is 6'5 like me. The first set of xrays were the normal set taken in the dental chair which were not an issue...and they sufficed for the x-rays needed in my case. All that aside, Dr. Kim and the dental-office staff were great at their job(s), offer good dental advice and are pleasant to deal with. There were many moments where it was obvious the benefit from dealing with a specialist in implants - most recently the full mouth digital scan that led to a perfectly fitted crown. Years ago I had one implant done by my dentist who is excellent as a general dentist but clearly over his head when doing implants (it literally fell out several months later, with great pain, requiring a full do-over of the entire process). Plan to arrive early in case there are travel problems, which NYC is notorious for. The office has excellent free coffee and spring water, and comfortable sofa's.

I was recomended by my hygienist to have it removed before cavities begin to form due to the difficulty of brushing the area so I did some research and looked for referrals from friends. I previously removed a wisdom tooth a few years ago but put off removing the other three as I didn't want to be stuck eating soft foods for another three weeks again. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Dolman and that was when I knew Dr. Dolman was extremely knowledgeable and I could trust him with this procedure. Dr. Dolman is not pushy like a number of doctors are. Rather, he explains what would happen if you don't remove certain teeth and what would happen if you do. His explanations were clear and helped me prepare mentally for what I was about to go through. Doing any sort of dental work is usually pretty scary and pulling wisdom teeth is one of the scariest procedures for me due to the fears of dry sockets and things going wrong. However, Dr. Dolman is very experienced and goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are safe, comfortable, and at ease before, during and after the procedure. Did I mention that during the procedure, I didn't feel a thing and was very relaxed? I didn't think that could be possible in a situation where someone would be yanking your teeth. What makes Dr. Dolman stand out is the experience post operation. I was provided a printout of what to expect for the next few weeks during recovery, what to eat and how often to change gauzes. In addition, Dr. Dolman gave me his number so I could text and call him if I had issues. He followed up periodically to check in and see how I was doing and answered questions I had very patiently. Dr. Dolman truly cares for his patients and I highly recommend everyone who needs oral surgery go to him. He is the best and I recommend all my friends to see him.
