An honest person. I called him to fix a Whirlpool washer and he showed up when he said he would, had all the parts and tools to fix the problem, and he was inexpensive! He even had me check something before coming out to make sure it wasn't a simple DIY repair, and gave me a free, spare drier hose after seeing my kinked old one. Two thumbs up!

Victor S is the tech that they've sent to my house for the last decade. I've had them out for 4 at least different repairs (fridge, dryer, washer and washer). He is very no-nonsense and very honest & ethical. Before my third visit, I had a plumber add a faucet added to my deck and we had to disconnect the lines running to the washer. When we reconnected it, some debris got trapped in the filter or the line and impacted the machines ability to call enough hot water into the machine for use, so it kept throwing up errors. The plumber came back out and tried to resolve the issue, but since it wasn't a plumbing issue, he basically threw in the towel (but he was very apologetic). He suggested I call an appliance repair service out to clear the filter. I kept trying various things, but eventually gave up because I didn't want to damage the machine, so I called Same Day Appliance. On the day of the visit, OF COURSE, the machine worked fine. Victor spent time trying to get the machine to replicate the issue. I showed him the video I'd recorded with my phone. Victor felt so badly about having to charge me for 'doing nothing,' he volunteered to reverse my dryer door to make it easier to load / unload - just so he'd feel better about having done some actual labor. I've also used The Appliance Doctor 770-428-6400, but their service visit is $85 and every time I've ever had them out, they were never able to do my actual repair because the part was on backorder. Problem: We have a samsung washer that runs in "rinse and spin cycle" in loop that never completes…read more Alex came to look at the washer issue. His appointment time was a window from 9-11am. He arrived around 10:45. I explained him the problem. He did run a couple of spin cycles on the washer. While those were running, he said it could be a problem with Valve but I am not sure. Opened rear top part of the machine and said everything looks fine. After the cycles completed, he said machine's not shaking too much either, so it could be the control board issue and can cost a lot. So far, he's not sure on anything. He was on phone with probably one of their colleagues to discuss the problem. While he was checking all this, I told him that I had done a little bit research which shows it could be an issue with the wire assembly that's connected to the drum on rear panel which might have been damaged due to drum shaking with the load, also showed him the youtube video. He reluctantly agreed to open the rear panel and realized that is the exact same issue. The sensor wire that connected to other assembly part was broken. I asked him why would that happen to which he said its probably the number of years on the washer (5) and wear and tear. After that he checked the parts availability and told me it would cost me $345 for parts and labor. I asked him what would be the labor and part cost separately to which he answered the same - "total $345". I asked him should we check for the suspension system as well which he completely rejected and started packing his stuff saying no need. I asked him what if this breaks again in next few days/months to which he said that can happen and had no solution for that. He was not even willing to check it to see if that could be the actual problem and was in just rush to leave saying he is getting late for his next appointment slot starting at 11am, when it was 11:15am then and he had barely arrived 30 mins ago. Whatever issue we identified was due to the research I had done instead of him finding it out and after that he just wanted to collect visit money and leave. Now, I have no clue whether that's the only issue I need to fix or it needs more work. I had called them up purely based on reviews and seems like you cannot go by those these days which is why I decided to write this one, so it can give someone real picture before deciding. Extremely disappointed and DO NOT RECOMMEND at all.

He charged $10 more than the diagnosis amount. My husband and I asked Alex the repair guy in 6 different ways whether a fan motor can be tested, and whether that needed to be replaced. He said that if a fan is running, there is nothing to test. He clearly lacks knowledge. There are many videos online that clearly show how this can be done. Alex needs to watch them. Few days later, the sound started again and I called them. They said that the entire assembly needed to be replaced. They charged me full price and did not subtract the diagnosis fee. Additionally, they charge 4% extra if you pay by credit card. Then they should not advertise that they accept credit card payments. Very, very bad service. Alex did not check anything, condenser coils, other pipes, just came in, switched out the fan in 2 seconds and boarded everything up. Avoid this company.

After I bought the voucher, I followed their instructions to schedule a cleaning. I got an email the next day offering me the dates and times within the next few weeks that they'd be able to come over. I responded by email and then got an email confirmation. On the day of the cleaning, I got a phone call reconfirming that I would still be home at the specified time. They were actually running early and wanted to move up my time. How often does that happen? I happily obliged. The man came at the time he said he would. He took a look around the house and had no problem with the rooms and hallway we wanted cleaned. Here's where the only super weird thing about the whole experience happened: they have to run the vacuum from the van, so the hose has to extend from their cleaning van all the way to the furthest room. We live on the third floor of a condo building. Luckily, we live in the unit closest to the street. Still, it's not directly on the street at there was a question of whether the hose would extend from the street all the way to the third floor of our unit. The man drove his van onto the sidewalk in front of our building. It was unconventional, but hey it worked. My point with this story is that if you live in a high rise, or somewhere not easily accessible from where a van would have to park, this is not the company for you. The van needs to get pretty close to your front door. Anyway, the actual cleaning was good. He was efficient and finished everything in about 30 minutes. There was an awful stench in one of the bedrooms from some kid we had sublet out to. The musty odor had been lingering for about two months, and we worried it had seeped into the carpet. Well, the steam clean definitely helped and the odor is much less (greater than 50% reduced), though not 100% gone (this was one stinky kid). Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service, quality and price I got.

Called spurlock and they will not take responsibility since I authorized the company that was already here to fix it. I guess they expected me and my family to potentially spend another night with no heat waiting for them to possibly get out here when I had someone already here who could fix it. I do not trust any of the electrical work done on my house now. Edit in Response to chad: this was not an issue that could wait. It's Not like I had an outlet that didnt work, this was our heat. It was 40 degrees last night. I have a 5 year old. It had to be fixed immediately. So of course I used someone who was already here. Was I suppose to turn them away on a whim that you all would come out? Apparently you guys don't see this was a serious install issue that almost cost us dearly.
