We fell in love with several of Haverty's bedroom sets while "window shopping" about 6 months ago when we decided to switch from a Cal King to a regular King. Alas, their furniture is on the pricey side for us, so we figured we would have to wait for a great sale or settle for something else. Well, a coworker of mine told me about this Haverty's Outlet, and I was so excited to go! As one might expect from a furniture outlet/clearance center, there are a lot of items that are damaged in one way or another, or missing parts. But, there are also some great finds! Tons of couches, side tables, dining tables, a huge assortment of dining chairs, dressers, etc. We ended up finding everything except the bed for one of the bedroom sets that we love (Vickery Creek) with minor damage or missing hardware (easily fixed or replaced) on all but one dresser. The dresser had one drawer that needs some extra work, we will be taking the drawer to a woodworking shop to have it rebuilt, but the dresser was only $125! Yes, you read that correctly, $125 for a $1400 dresser! Getting the drawer rebuilt will likely cost between 100-200 dollars, so we still got an absolute STEAL. Delivery is only $100 for the amount we bought, and we are thrilled to pieces with the service we received. Overall we saved over $3,000 dollars total from what normal price would be. Only thing that was a bit of an issue, we were overcharged just a smidge on one of the dressers, but I called this morning and they are taking care of it. Seriously, this place is well worth a look if you are wanting some quality furniture but can't afford to pay full price. I have spent lots of money with Havertys throughout the years , but no more ! Even an air mattress is better when what we bought after thousands of dollars ! I already had a good idea of what I wanted when k went into the store, but my personalized experience with Lule Sutton, one of their sales consultant, was exceptional. She answered all my questions and guided me through a few decisions. By the time I left the store, I knew I was in good hands. The delivery and set-up was letter perfect,and the crew was exceptional! Our house was left as clean when they left as it was when they came in to set everything up. Finally, we are thrilled with the look and quality of our purchases. My sisters and I stopped in here on Saturday evening and found some great deals. In the front is the regular priced furniture, towards the back is the "outlet" section. We literally found large area rugs for $99 and other great steals. As soon as we walked in an older gentleman named Ernst greeted us. He was really friendly, showed us were the bathrooms were and told us that he would be watching us if we needed anything but planned not to bother us. While we were there he did just that. When we had a question he popped up and explained or made other suggestions. He helped my sister get some new items and outlet items. With a bundle he even negotiated a good deal. If you are looking for some new furniture definitely go out of your way to come in here and ask for Ernest. It was a great experience all around. read more

If you're looking to quietly stroll the aisles of a furniture store, this is your place! It's never crowded and offers a selection that's not as overwhelming as the big box stores. Walk to the back and you may just find that couch you saw up front for a discounted price because it's been say on a few times as a model or perhaps it has a stain that just wouldn't come out. Welp just spent a good 30 minutes walking around this store and not one person greeted me I saw them greet a family that walked in the door and intently helping Another couple that wasn't even sure they were going to buy anything. I over heard the sales person say that they're going to be switching over to a regular show room soon. Sure hope they get a new sales staff. Two stars for great prices on all sorts of things I didn't need but not on what I was looking for. read more

I have no idea how they can cal this an outlet store. The prices are definitely not outlet or even sale prices.

I've been to this location plenty of times but there is only one visit that I truly remember. I was in the store with my family looking for an office style desk. There was an associate showing us around the different options. He presented to us a "writers" style desk that was dropped down to a lower rate. We noticed some cosmetic damage and asked if there was any possible chance that we could get a lower price. He said, no but continued to show us how great the desk was. I'm not sure what he was trying to show us when he grabbed at one of the long slender legs of the desk but when he did the leg snapped right off the rest of the desk. He frantically called for help and one of the movers (I'm guessing) came out and was very upset with the sales associate. The worker said he would be able to reattach the leg. We asked once more if the price could be lowered because the sales associate broke off the leg and all. He still wouldn't budge. A leg was snapped off of the desk and he wouldn't even bother to ask a manager if the price was negotiable. I mean, I guess I understand because I wouldn't want to tell my manager that I broke the product we were trying to sell but c'mon! It's alright though. I got a good laugh out of the whole situation. read more

They do have some nice things, unfortunately most everything on sale is still a little too pricey.

Customer Service sucks! Anxious to get your sale and sell you an extended warranty only to not cover anything! A few months after a $3k sofa purchase that had a clear manufacturer defect they refused to do anything, and the extended warranty wouldn't either since it was too new. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at this store... NEVER AGAIN! Stay away!! read more

We recently purchased a peidmont couch from Havertys and although so far, we love the couch, the sales experience was not so great. They never offered us the protection package and then when I called to find out more information, I was told it was too late and there was nothing I could do. Our sales rep then proceeded to tell me that it was just a break down in communication. I then received an email that a ticket had been opened for me by a sales person at Havertys. They wrote that I had been offered the protection package and declined at time of sale. This is just ridiculous. I understand mistakes happen but to lie about it is just unacceptable. We will not be doing business with them again. read more

Purchased a Floor Model Item and got a real good deal and got very good service. Salesperson was not annoying like they are at most furniture stores. Delivery was very professional. I liked that day before delivery we got a 2 hour window and then the day of you could track the truck to get accurate delivery estimate. read more

I made 2 purchases on 2 different days to be delivered to 2 different addresses. The Sales Consultant on the 2nd purchase changed the delivery date on the first purchase in error. When I checked out, less than 2 minutes later the mistake was discovered and check out emailed the warehouse to correct the mistake. Sales Consultant corrected in computer too. Today, delivery date for 1st purchase is still incorrect. I now have 2 deliveries scheduled for Friday, no idea if in am or pm at 2 locations 35 miles apart. Called "white glove customer care" explained what happened to lead to the service failure. Her response to everything I said was "OK". Then she ask me several questions that I had just explained to her......not listening. I ask to speak to a supervisor....When the supervisor came on the phone she addressed me by the name of one of the delivery recipients, not my name....still nobody listening.......Still I have no idea when my deliveries will be made. Supervisor said I would get a call back. When I ask her to what phone number she gave me a number that was not either my home or cell number. read more

Terrible customer service and communication! I purchased furniture in November with delivery date of 1/14. I received a live person call in December changing the date to 1/24. Then from 1/21 on I received only automated emails changing the date of the delivery. After picking up the phone and calling them, something they apparently cannot do, I am told the furniture has not arrived yet to their warehouse. I am not happy, but I get it. Then, after telling them they should call a person with this type of change, I am told this never happens a 2nd time. 4 days later I receive another automated email (not a call) asking me to confirm my delivery date - but guess what? The date I have scheduled is greyed out and not available. We pick up the phone AGAIN and call them and are told AGAIN that the furniture has not arrived. I would not have purchased this furniture in Nov if I was told it would be Feb before I would receive it. Haverty's should be ashamed of their communication with their manufacturer and they should be ashamed of their bad communication with customers. I will not shop there again and will not recommend to anyone. read more
