She went in on her own- and is older, so seemingly naive, right? DAN told her it was in the sidewall and that she needed FOUR new tires (not just two for the front). Her tires weren't old at all. She ordered them for arrival and told me what had transpired. Well, I just knew that screw was not in the sidewall. It was nowhere NEAR! So I asked her to go to Tire Warehouse, where they confirmed as much, and patched it for nothing. Pretty sure they refused to charge her. She canceled the tires Dan ordered, which turned out to be poor quality anyhow. What a disappointing experience. Shame on you, Dan!!

I came to them on my spare after blowing out a front-tire sidewall the evening before. Twenty minutes after Il called, they had my car jacked up and the new tire mounted. Waited 30…read moreminutes to be called by the Attendant who told me that they couldn't switch my tires because my car is AWD and the tires are for a Front Wheel Drive vehicle. I explained my car is not AWD it is FWD and they have switched the exact same tires on the exact same vehicle last year. The Manager said "well, actually one of the treads on one of my tires is worn and I would have to buy a new tire." So I asked are you saying you can't switch my tires because there is a worn tread on one of the tires or because you believe my car is AWD. He said "well it says AWD when I look it up." I got the sense they just didn't want to do the tire switch. I made a complaint to the General Store Manager. She said she was going to be sure the complaint was filed, but I seriously doubt it. Would strongly advise not going to the Hinsdale Walmart for any automotive reasons.
