Bowl: salmon, tuna, masago, pineapple, mango, daikon, seaweed salad, kani, corn, avo, cucumber, house ginger + unagi sauce
    Christina Q.

Decided to give this spot nearby a shot and was thoroughly satisfied! Would definitely recommend. I got a poke bowl with 2 scoops salmon, 1 scoop tuna, masago, pineapple, mango, pickled daikon, seaweed salad, purple onions, green onions, crab salad, corn, carrots, avocado, cucumber, fried wonton chips, seaweed, furikake, ginger chips, tempura, house ginger sauce, hawa classic sauce, unagi sauce - I tried the cream sesame and ponzu sauce pm the side and they were all good! They mix your bowl for you and then add your toppings, which I wasn't expecting but that was a nice touch so that everything was covered in sauce and not dry. (Not pictured) Also ordered the mango green tea with strawberry and mango popping bubbles and lychee jelly

Really loved my meal here! I had the pokerito with spicy tuna, edamame, seaweed salad, corn masago, and cucumbers. Loved it! Staff was friendly and I also had the thai tea, was pretty good also. Definitely a place I will be coming back to.

My friends and I got takeout poke here and we all really enjoyed it! Each poke bowl w two protein is $12 after tax- all toppings like avocado are free which is very generous! They had a lot of variety like Ika salad which I haven't seen much (and it was great). Some toppings they were running low on and were very sparing in their serving (like masago). All the food seemed very fresh though! They interestingly allow you to sample the sauce combinations before you choose what you want. My bowl was overflowing and was a great deal (I was full for the rest of the day). However, I felt like the flavor was a little bland which is why I docked a point. I felt very healthy eating this dish and would order again though! Great neighborhood poke place with very nice staff.

Loveeee hawa poke and their selection!! They serve good portions for an amazing price and everyone there is always so sweet.

Experience was just okay. I came here on a Friday late afternoon and there was not really anyone. Service was extremely slow and I just thought, okay... Maybe she's just taking her time because no one is really waiting after me? All selections and toppings were very fresh and I appreciated the variety. However, as much toppings they offered, it caught me by surprise they didn't offer cream cheese. A little bummed out as I love cream cheese with fresh salmon. I ordered the sushi burrito, and it was made differently than what I am used to. The server takes your order by bowl first (like Chipotle style), toss everything together and placing it on the rice and seaweed wrap. This method is observed to be challenging to fit all the fish mixture in a small surface, as well as wasteful to throw away the falling remains. I witness her throwing away quite a bit. Other poke shops I've seen creates your burrito with the wrap to help fit everything nicely, eliminating the need to waste food. The trick is to gauge your scoop... Sure you might think you're getting a bang for your buck, but not when they are tossing all of the falling mixture away. Moving forward, when I asked for my sauces to be on the side, she could have at least filled the sauce cup up to half way. It was a large burrito. I'll probably give this place another shot and crossing my fingers for a better wait time. Probably opt for a bowl next time.

I'm not a huge fan of poke, but was excited to come here and try their pokerito (poke + burrito). I did the 2 protein and picked my ingredients, sauces, and toppings for $12. My spicy salmon and shrimp tempura pokerito creation was a success with the perfect amount of spices. There are plenty of seating inside and a couple of seats outside. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . This new Poke restaurant opened about a month ago and now gives Jersey Village area residents the opportunity to eat freshly made Poke without having too travel far. I have dined twice now and can say it's very good. Located in the large strip center across West Road from Kroger parking is plentiful in the lot shared by several other businesses next door. It is a counter service restaurant with seating inside for about 30 people. They offer custom made bowls along with a list of house favorites. Both times, I ordered the same thing because it was so good. I went with the Hawa Classic Tuna bowl for $11.95. The staff were very friendly and eager to help with the selections and explanations if needed. All of the ingredients in my meals were fresh and tasty and the serving line was very clean too. They offer both bottled and fountain drinks along with tea. My meal was large in size, filling and delicious. I will frequent this business.

Great poké!!! They have so many protein options and they can even cook the fish if that's your preference. Great service, very friendly. The interior is very nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Everything we had was flavorful, delicious, and all the meat was moist! I can't wait to come back and I'm sad it took me so long to find this place! Highly recommend!! Service was helpful and friendly. The restaurant felt very clean, spacious, and modern with a lot of natural light. They brought our food out to our table and gave us napkins and utensils, so we didn't have to get up and get them ourselves. Absolutely a great dining experience! The portions are also big! My bf and I each got a Hawaiian Favorite combo and couldn't finish them. The entrees are easily two servings for me, so it's a great value! The containers the food comes in are microwavable too, so extra bonus points for easy reheating! If you do manage to finish an entree in one sitting though, you will be stuffed! It wasn't mentioned on the menu, but there's steamed/sautéed cabbage under the meat. It looked a little deceiving because I thought it was just a huge pile of meat, only to find cabbage under. Thankfully, I love cabbage and appreciated that there were veggies to balance the heaviness of all the meat. That being said, there was still a lot of meat, just not as much as it looked like at first. They also give you little containers of sauce depending on which entree you get, which really enhanced the meal. If you get bbq beef or chicken, you get a delicious, sweet, Hawaiian bbq sauce. If you get the chicken katsu, you get a sauce that resembles sweet and sour. If you get a combo that has both bbq meat and chicken katsu, you get both sauces. I poured the sauce over the rice to season the plain white rice, then poured the rest on the meat even though it didn't really need it. BBQ CHICKEN: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in small to large chunks. BBQ BEEF: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in thin slices. CHICKEN KATSU: Moist! Fresh, crunchy breading! Tastes better with the sweet and sour-like sauce provided than on its own. KALBI SHORT RIBS: Delicious! Moist! Has fatty bits, unlike the bbq beef, which I really liked! Very similar, if not the same, flavor as the bbq beef. MACARONI SALAD: Delicious and flavorful! Tastes just like potato salad.

To allow a plate to exit your establishment in this CONDITION was unsatisfactory & disappointing. I felt like I got scraps from a trashed kiddie meal, there was no thought given to this. The food was not cooked all the way. Fish was limp. Fish was as small as my thumb. The shrimp were tiny, dry, looked like they'd stayed under lights too long. I mean, the macaroni and rice are pretty simple, you got that in bulk. You can slang that all day. So why didn't anyone take time to AT LEAST make the fish and shrimp shine??? Regardless if the meal is a deal or not, what we receive is a reflection of each person who you touched that plate, WHO SERVED IT AND WHO looked at it, decided it was fine and put it in a bag to be delivered to someone who spent their money for food! Energetically and overall, this was SAD AND unfortunate. I gave my report on Uber already as one star: Maika'i Hawaiian BBQ (10311 North Eldridge) Thank you, Court, for your feedback. My BMP calamansi margarita was distinct in its tanginess. Tried the veggie lumpias and brussel sprouts. The lumpias had tangy dipping sauce that might have been dominated by calamansi. More tang than savory. The brussel sprouts were standard but had a good portion. I tried to detect whether they used fish sauce but I couldn't tell. Ordered the daing na bangus (milkfish) as my entree. They gave me the whole fish and it threw me off that it was mostly deboned since I kept looking for the bones with my tongue and teeth. Fish was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce was more savory than what came with the lumpias. The garlic rice that came with the dish was smoky from that wok hay. Probably could have used a little more soy sauce for flavouring. My favourite dish was the turon dessert (fried bananas) along with the ube ice cream. The coconut sauce they used seemed more like caramel. I haven't eaten much Filipino food so I wasn't sure how authentic the dishes were. I was expecting a little more intensity in the flavours, and I don't know if it was toned down for their customers. There were around ten customers that night. The inside was beautiful and they have a two level patio that is perfect for nights like these. The service was very nice and the kitchen was faster than I expected.
