Great spot to eat. Love poke, even as a vegan. Soooo many different ingredients to choose from! Service was quick (no one was there when I came). I only do takeout but they have small seating areas.

It makes me so sad to leave bad poké reviews. I love Pokeworks, and as an out of towner, I was really excited to place my Uber order. Sadly both of the items we ordered were wrong with paid additions omitted from the order entirely. I requested torched seafood and instead got raw. As lovers of food, Pokeworks left us very sad

Be ready to spend anywhere from $15-$20 a bowl due to inflation but it's worth it. They give you a good amount of food with (almost) unlimited toppings. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Front parking is a little hard to find during lunch hours but plenty is available if you don't mind a little walking. They need to bring back the lotus chips and the free miso soup coupon when check in.

Poke works is hands down the best place for poke in Houston! They have several locations, and I've always received great service and food at all of the ones I've been to. They have tons of toppings and sauce options, and they're not stingy with them either. I usually get the build your own bowl, but I don't think you can go wrong with the preset bowls if you're not sure what to get! They also have cooked chicken, tofu, and shrimp options if you're nervous about trying the raw fish. This particular location is smaller than some of their other ones, so if you're wanting to dine in (after the pandemic of course!!), it might be better to choose another location. Other than that, the quality of the food and service is the same fantastic quality it is at the others!

Located in a Target shopping center off of Westheimer in the heart of Montrose. Interior is clean and it's a Chipotle for Poke, pretty much. Plenty of fish and topping options. I got the ahi tuna bowl and the fish and toppings were solid. Definitely a decent light meal option for the area.

Came here for my regular torched salmon poke bowl as a pregnant lady. Was having a stressful day but Maggie absolutely made my day. She defines what customer service is all about. She made me feel so welcomed. She also actually made the best poke bowl I ever had. I don't know how she did it but she seared the salmon to where it's cooked but is almost as soft as raw salmon. This is officially the best Pokeworks in Houston. Maggie if you see this thanks again girl :)

Hot Miso Soup Garlic Spam Musubi

Came here for a light snack on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty much empty. There is ample parking in the shopping strip. I checked in for a free miso soup and then purchased a garlic spam musubi at the cashier. It was bogo which was a nice surprise. The employees were super cheerful and sweet. S/o to them The miso soup here was so much more flavorful than the one I had at the new location on Main st. The musubi was delicious. My friend also said that this musubi was better than the one he had at the Main location. My only critique is that it would be great if they could find a way to keep the musubi warm.

-excellent food -great selection -generous with toppings - big quantity of poke for the price (never finish & always take home for leftovers) - Pretty interior and exterior - Nice Staff - I always build my own Easily one of my top favorites for poké!!!! Definitely worth it!!

first time here, during lunch. looked like they had a lot of mobile orders as well as walk-in customers but there were only two staffs. unfortunately they were taking their sweet time and decided to give a customer their food first who came later than me. i was in a hurry and as this is a quick in and out place it was overall not a good experience. idk why they would ask me if i want to join their rewards in the middle of lunch hours. the lady who prepped my burrito rolled the burrito loosely when i opened it it wasn't tight. and i felt like the rice portion should be lesser than the other ingredients .. if you are charging $15. all and all it taste good but idk if i would return at this location. they could improve their customer service, especially it's the holidays too so. the inside looks clean and spacious.

This food is simply amazing and should be your GO TO spot after school

Everything we had was flavorful, delicious, and all the meat was moist! I can't wait to come back and I'm sad it took me so long to find this place! Highly recommend!! Service was helpful and friendly. The restaurant felt very clean, spacious, and modern with a lot of natural light. They brought our food out to our table and gave us napkins and utensils, so we didn't have to get up and get them ourselves. Absolutely a great dining experience! The portions are also big! My bf and I each got a Hawaiian Favorite combo and couldn't finish them. The entrees are easily two servings for me, so it's a great value! The containers the food comes in are microwavable too, so extra bonus points for easy reheating! If you do manage to finish an entree in one sitting though, you will be stuffed! It wasn't mentioned on the menu, but there's steamed/sautéed cabbage under the meat. It looked a little deceiving because I thought it was just a huge pile of meat, only to find cabbage under. Thankfully, I love cabbage and appreciated that there were veggies to balance the heaviness of all the meat. That being said, there was still a lot of meat, just not as much as it looked like at first. They also give you little containers of sauce depending on which entree you get, which really enhanced the meal. If you get bbq beef or chicken, you get a delicious, sweet, Hawaiian bbq sauce. If you get the chicken katsu, you get a sauce that resembles sweet and sour. If you get a combo that has both bbq meat and chicken katsu, you get both sauces. I poured the sauce over the rice to season the plain white rice, then poured the rest on the meat even though it didn't really need it. BBQ CHICKEN: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in small to large chunks. BBQ BEEF: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in thin slices. CHICKEN KATSU: Moist! Fresh, crunchy breading! Tastes better with the sweet and sour-like sauce provided than on its own. KALBI SHORT RIBS: Delicious! Moist! Has fatty bits, unlike the bbq beef, which I really liked! Very similar, if not the same, flavor as the bbq beef. MACARONI SALAD: Delicious and flavorful! Tastes just like potato salad.

To allow a plate to exit your establishment in this CONDITION was unsatisfactory & disappointing. I felt like I got scraps from a trashed kiddie meal, there was no thought given to this. The food was not cooked all the way. Fish was limp. Fish was as small as my thumb. The shrimp were tiny, dry, looked like they'd stayed under lights too long. I mean, the macaroni and rice are pretty simple, you got that in bulk. You can slang that all day. So why didn't anyone take time to AT LEAST make the fish and shrimp shine??? Regardless if the meal is a deal or not, what we receive is a reflection of each person who you touched that plate, WHO SERVED IT AND WHO looked at it, decided it was fine and put it in a bag to be delivered to someone who spent their money for food! Energetically and overall, this was SAD AND unfortunate. I gave my report on Uber already as one star: Maika'i Hawaiian BBQ (10311 North Eldridge) Thank you, Court, for your feedback. I'm truly sorry that your experience didn't meet our standards at Maika'i Hawaiian BBQ (10311 North Eldridge). Why would I reach out to discuss anything further when your establishment dropped the ball? Why would I take advantage of a buy one get one free deal? I won't patronize this establishment again. My BMP calamansi margarita was distinct in its tanginess. Tried the veggie lumpias and brussel sprouts. The lumpias had tangy dipping sauce that might have been dominated by calamansi. More tang than savory. The brussel sprouts were standard but had a good portion. I tried to detect whether they used fish sauce but I couldn't tell. Ordered the daing na bangus (milkfish) as my entree. They gave me the whole fish and it threw me off that it was mostly deboned since I kept looking for the bones with my tongue and teeth. Fish was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce was more savory than what came with the lumpias. The garlic rice that came with the dish was smoky from that wok hay. Probably could have used a little more soy sauce for flavouring. My favourite dish was the turon dessert (fried bananas) along with the ube ice cream. The coconut sauce they used seemed more like caramel. I haven't eaten much Filipino food so I wasn't sure how authentic the dishes were. I was expecting a little more intensity in the flavours, and I don't know if it was toned down for their customers. There were around ten customers that night. The inside was beautiful and they have a two level patio that is perfect for nights like these. The service was very nice and the kitchen was faster than I expected.
