I couldn't decide what to order because I wanted one of everything, so I just went with the two most popular items on the website: the salmon lover combo and the crunch combo. If you ever buy sushi from HEB, you know that it's usually pretty hardened by the time you eat it. This is a completely different experience. It tastes like it was made 5 minutes ago. I love coming here, can be a bit overwhelming if you're trying to order for one person but you can come multiple times until you've tried a little of everything! From customer service, to the quality versus price, not to mention the deliciousness of the food! I don't have a personal favorite nexus j really enjoy everything here. You should make your way to try the high quality slices of dish if you've been never been, have a fantastic meal without breaking the bank. It's a grab and go sushi shop. You can place your order online and pickup or come in and grab from their counters and shelves. There are counters at the front if you want to enjoy your meal on the spot. Otherwise, grab trays of goodies to take home and enjoy. They even have a drive through! Ask the staff and they can help you pick out some favorites. My recent trip was for the "I Dream of Nigiri" party tray to enjoy at a post holiday celebration. There was a total of 6 party trays and this one was the first to get devoured. I love the assortment of nigiri styles presented. The fish and ingredients were very fresh and definitely worth the one hour drive from the medical center. The joy on my friend's faces while eating confirmed for me that this was the right place to go. I always try to stop by when I'm in the area. I ordered the California Roll and the Crawfish Roll and even though the website says most can be made gluten free, I called to check. They were extremely kind and comforting to let me know that they take gluten allergies very seriously. I even ordered the dumpling sauce, soy sauce, and the teriyaki sauce to try. They have gluten free soy sauce and teriyaki sauce on hand, but since they didn't have gluten free dumpling sauce the owner hand made me a side of it from scratch just for my order!! He also threw in some spicy mayo for free because it is gluten free and they wanted me to try it. Wow! As always 7 Friday saves the day!! What an incredible experience from fresh tuna and salmon nigri to Japanese fried calamari that was perfectly crunchy and perfectly cooked as well as seasoned. We drove about 40min to try this sushi and I must say that it was 100% worth it! The employees immediately came up and explained the layout/what is offered. The owner was also very kind and clearly passionate about his work! He gave many amazing recommendations and that they were also able to make it to order. They also offer catering for parties/events. After glancing at the menu, I immediately saw their sushi taco. Ingredients: Crunchy panko nori, crab salad, avocado, tempura shrimp, spicy raw salmon, cream cheese, green onions, cilantro, fried onions, cucumber, spicy mayo, and teriyaki sauce. As a half Mexican, I just had to sweep in for it. When I brought it home and unboxed it, a PHATTY tear immediately started coming. It was just what I needed to end my week. Devoured the entire sushi taco within 5 minutes. While this Sushi Taco is robust, so am I. I could have had 2 more but had to stop. This taco could feed 1 normal human and they would be satisfied. My favorite roll here is the Cypress Roll (fried sushi with salmon and crawfish) and the Shrimp Deluxe Roll (shrimp tempura with imitation crab and avocado). The price is on par with a lot of other sushi grab & go places but I love how fresh the food is here. The inside of the shop is pretty small because of its grab and go nature, but there are tables and chairs available. There's a drive thru and the service there is quick as well. This is nothing more than Kroger style sushi. Absolutely unacceptable and lacking in any sort of skill. Salmon had no marbling and smelled off. Advertised images remind me of something you'd see in a Ghost Kitchen menu, it looks appetizing but reality is much different. Some of the containers had price tags on them. Again like grocery store sushi. Terrible. Let's face it folks, you will NOT find good sushi in the suburbs. Skilled chefs don't want to drive all the way out here for the Chili's crowd. I love this place. The quality and freshness of the fish cannot be matched. I cannot think of a place within a 20 mile radius with the quality of their food. They're also branded as a "To-go" sushi spot and have a lot of to-go options. One would think they have sushi on par with HEB or Kroger's to-go sushi... But that can't be farther from the truth. While we were in the restaurant he even gave us a free sample. The owner's customer centric approach to this restaurant is what really attracted me this quaint To-go sushi spot.
