Then, she offered to "add a banana or pineapple," which I'm sure would have had to been paid for by us. We asked our teenager to try it, and he also didn't like it, so We ended up trashing it. They're located on the side south of W. 47th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). Highly recommend, y'all. As you'll be able to tell from my photos, it's such a lovely and cozy spot. Love the elegant design. And the ladies who work there are warm and welcoming; they also make an amazing smoothie! Over a decade ago, I used to supervise at a healthy, vegan food chain called Organic Avenue. (Does anyone still remember it??) And I can tell you that making a smoothie isn't actually so easy. Sure, it looks easy, but making sure that it's equal parts sweet and not-so-sweet is an art form. These smoothies were just that -- tasty without being overbearing and nourishing sans giving "health food store circa 1987." LOL Somehow, these ladies did the thing well and struck that balance.
