Such a fun place to drop in! Lots of adoptable kitties rescued from around the island. Was very clean and the cats were well taken care of.

They have a great mission: They team up with the Hawaiian Humane Society to showcase cats and kittens that are available for adoption, and if you are vetted and selected, you can take your chosen cat(s) home for their new life with you! Even if you're not in the market for a new companion, you can go to the Café, get a coffee or Italian soda, eat a scone, and pet adorable cats. There's always a nice rotating mixture of frisky kittens and older cats, and some are napping while others are playing. There are toys in the room where the cats are so you can interact with them. I always recommend reservations but you can walk in and see if there are spots available. You get lots of time to interact with the cats and it's usually not packed so there's room to interact with multiple kitties. Please check it out--it's such a good cause!

The price is also very affordable compared to other cat cafes. Reservations are recommended. I really like that the visit time is an hour instead of 30 minutes like some other places that charge double the price, which is honestly kind of crazy. I came with my daughter and it was $31 total for an hour of playing with the cats, which I think is totally worth it. They also have a cafe, which adds a nice touch to the experience.

Once we were seated, the service was great and they were super kind. I was able to make a fruit swap request and they said it was not problem. The açai bowl tasted great! The fruit were super fresh. The açai wasn't as refreshing compared to what I had at "Tropical tribe" but I much preferred the freshness of the fruit, portions and cost here at Goofy's. The Piña Colada Smoothie was also delish! We sat next to the balcony and were able to people watch and bird watch which was fun. We overhead a table nearby, this was their 7th time visiting this cafe. They seemed to love it! Overall, I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the staff were super friendly. If you are looking for a fast brunch spot, this is not the place due to the long wait time so if you want to eat here, arrive close to opening or plan for the wait time.

There is no online ordering, so plan accordingly to beat the lunch rush. The menu is easy to read and has local favorites: lau lau, kalua pork, musubis, and beef stew. There's also coffee and sweets available for purchase. I ordered the weekly special: mochiko chicken and waited on the side. There's a limited number of tables indoors and outdoors. I grabbed a seat inside and saw kids playing in a dress up area. Thought that was a nice touch for making the cafe interactive. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my food. Once your food is ready, the staff will announce your name on the PA system. I picked up my food and dug in. My mochiko chicken plate was piping hot, accompanied by a scoop of white rice and salad with lilikoi dressing. The mochiko chicken tasted fresh and flavorful. One of the best mochiko chickens I've ever had. I normally dislike salad, but the dressing was so ono I finished the whole thing. My plate was $16.99. It's a little pricey, but the food is decent.

My boyfriend Ryan and I met the owner, Jasmin a while back when we were shopping and she invited us…read moreto check out her cafe. We found street parking across the street since parking in front of the café was limited. Jasmin welcomed us and pointed to the menu on the wall. We saw pictures of the food outside the window and the menu was written on a chalkboard stand. Her cafe is small, but very cozy with bright, cool looking furniture, and there were beautiful art work on the walls, and she had on some catchy Arabian music as well. We tried the Meza plate: Baba Ghanoush (smoky eggplant dip), Dolmas ( tangy grape leaves), Za'atar bread( spices, onions)- Jasmin said this was everyone's favorite, after the taste of this bread you guys, it became our favorite! It tastes super nice and it was flavorful! There was feta cheese, kalamata olives, and bread cut in a triangular shape. Jasmin told us to open the bread and grab the dips, and cheese with it. Every bite was a whole different experience! It was delicious! Jasmin said we had to eat the Za'atar bread, with the cheese on it and it was just yum! Jasmin let us try Saudi coffee, with sweet dates, and I also ordered the Honey Rose Latte. The Saudi coffee had cardamom in it so it's different from regular coffees. My Honey Rose Latte was good too. Jasmin asked if I wanted my latte sweeter and added more of the sweetener in my coffee. Even Ryan liked it too! The rose water gave it a nice touch. We also had the Turkey Panini~Jasmin's turkey panini was super crispy! There was cheese melting in the inside! You can hear the crunch in every bite! There were vegetables in it too like bell peppers, pesto, zucchini, and turkey meat. Ryan and I were really loving it! And for the final course, we had to try the desserts! We ordered two kinds of cakes, the sour cream poppy seed cake, and pumpkin spice loaf. These cakes were super moist, and not as sweet, which was perfect with our coffee. And there was a nice sugary crumble texture with it! So friends, if you are feeling adventurous and want to try something new, come on down to Jasmin's cafe at Mirage Arts & Coffee. She also does open mic nights, there would be live entertainment, belly dancers, so if you want to have a small get together, Jasmin welcomes everyone. Jasmin is a wonderful host. She will walk you through everything if you are not familiar with the foods, and she will entertain you too. This place will take you to another level, transport you to somewhere you have never been. So I do recommend you guys trying for the experience.

Not sure what her role is. (Although she seems to think she is the HHS police.) She seems to have major emotional dysregulation issues and will SNAP at people who are with a foster dog, or addopting a dog, that is sniffing at the three dog display cages in front, "DON'T LET THE DOG MAKE CONTACT WITH THE PUPPY!!!" (These three cages out front seem to be featured dogs they want people to notice?) Well perhaps they should put the cages higher up?? She also asks a lot of personal questions and follows people around the shelter, observing/spying as they view or interact with dogs (passive agressive much?!?!). If HHS was SO concerned about disease transmission, perhaps they should not have cats roaming loose inside the shelter, or FERAL CHICKENS flying and running around all over the shelter and DRINKING from the dog water bowls. After three encounters with this person in April and May, I don't want to go back. It's hard enough to be grieving and I don't need to deal with people who seem to be judging everyone who enters the shelter. I may check out the Ewa location instead. HHS leadership: the bizarre woman at the front needs to get some training on keeping her personal issues at the door when she shows up for work. GEEZ!!!

I have my own animals to take care of and I can't have these kittens pee and crap all over my yard. My animals don't appreciate smelling their stuff. I appreciate what the workers and volunteers do here at HHS with taking care of the animals they have now. I'm just disappointed they did not help me with this situation. More importantly, help these kittens.
