((Will post pictures after review is posted)) 5/22/26 Friday. "Two hands hoagie" ... it's exactly what my tagline is "Two hands Hoagie". I literally had to use two of my hands to eat this sandwich hoagie.. I went there and stared at the menu for about two minutes. I first saw pastrami, but they didn't have pastrami. They seem to have been waiting on a delivery for pastrami and everyone had ordered it before so I went with the roast beef. .... There was nothing bad about ordering roast beef. In fact that was what I should've ordered the first time I asked to make an order for a hoagie that pair of lettuce and tomato along with a little bit of dressing inside the bread and the roast beef that's folded in to the sandwich For the bread itself is really perfect or maybe because I haven't had a hoagie in a while, but I would have to say I would go back! and if you are - Kama'aina... you get 10% off the bill. I ordered a 6 inch I still had to use two hands to eat it. It was perfect all the way around. I may have probably wanted a thiner bread, but because there isn't a preference on the bread I think that's part of the creation of the hoagie --either way it was Great. I felt it was really good.... And I had ordered a side order of regular french fries they did have garlic. They also had barbecue and possibly may be another option but I went with the regular french fries and there's something about the kind of fries they have. It's a little bit crispy on the outside and it's nicely done in the middle And very delicious with my hoagie which was roast beef. The roast beef is not too thick and it's just right... it's a good thing I didn't order a large because I don't think I could be able to finish this whole hoagie... I'm glad I stuck with the 6 inch.. I do have an example of the sandwich and I'm holding up the mayonnaise packet next to the end of the hoagie. You'll see how that measures up as a fairly large 6 inch sandwich. ... After attending a great show in Waikiki at the blue note I was looking to get a quick bite before heading home. I'm always down to eat wings if you can't tell yet and Hawaii Hoagie was the first business I saw when I walked into the Kuhio food court. Sad to say that the service wasn't great and food was even worse. First off as I talked to the staff member he was very short and a little rude when I was asking questions. He also didn't really seem to know much about the food he was serving, this should have been the first indicator that the food wasn't going to be good. It took quite awhile for me to get my food even though I was the only one who had ordered since I got there. I ordered the Lemon pepper wings and boy oh boy were they over seasoned, they were so salty that they were inedible. I could only eat one wing before I had to toss them. I would have demanded a refund but the staff member was no where to be found when I walked back with the wings. The best part about this experience was that there was some live music playing that day in the Kuhio Food hall and it made the area a nice vibe. The A/C must have been out though so it was pretty hot. I definitely will not be trying Hawaii Hoagie though, there are many different restaurants in there with way better food. read more

Great hoagie sandwiches. I had the roast beef and cheddar cheese. It was excellent rare roast beef and real cheddar cheese. I got the half hoagie because I just wanted a snack. The hoagie was stacked with veggies. What I liked most was the care in which the sandwich maker made my sandwich. Meticulously making sure items were properly placed and not slapped together like other places. I will be back for sure. It's take out but there are lots of places to sit in the food court. read more

Paid $40 for two sandwiches, guy took an hour to make it and kept leaving somewhere with the same food gloves on. Seemed unsanitary as hell. Not only was my order completely wrong, when I asked what the hold up is, he just said "we're looking for something". My sandwich came with no avocado at all whatsoever which is the only reason why I chose it was to get mfkn avocado, and it was supposed to come with no mustard, and it came overloaded with mustard. Guy was a short black dude with no respect and seemed ignorant as hell. Atleast communicate with the customers and let them know, I would have much rather had a refund or compensation with drinks or sides than to waste $40 on garbage as* sandwiches I couldn't even eat. read more

Kimmy was working the hoagie shop completely by herself during a rush and absolutely crushed it. She was helping multiple customers at once but still stayed friendly and gave great service. Our order was made perfectly and the food was delicious. She was clearly working really hard and did an amazing job. read more

Hawaii Hoagie was another spot I got to try at the Kuhio Ave Food Hall. They specialize in sandwiches as well as chicken tenders and chicken wings. For my visit here; I got to try the chicken tenders and chicken wings. I checked in on Yelp and got a free Hawaiian sun soda! (Yay!) Both the chicken tenders and chicken wings sounded promising but I was slightly worried that the chicken tenders might be dry. They had piles of chicken tenders under the heat lamp and something in me was worried that they had been sitting there for a long time. After trying both; I would definitely say that was the case. The chicken tenders were indeed dry and not only were they dry; they were a bit hard as well. The chicken wings were slightly a bit better. Overall I was a bit disappointed. The one happy perk I got from here was the free Hawaiian sun soda. If ever I come back; I would probably check out their sandwiches and skip the chicken. read more

Ordered a 5 piece chicken tender. Brought it back to the hotel room and found they gave me a 3 piece. I wouldn't care but I was charged for a 5 piece. Edited: The owner immediately contacted me and brought an additional 5 piece tender directly to the hotel with all different sauces. He was so kind and understanding of the order being wrong. It really shows a lot about the owner of the company for him to go out of his way for one customer in that way. The chicken tenders and fries were really good. I had the mikes favorite sub and it was really good too! We would definitely return after seeing how much care he takes in his business. read more

First time visiting the Intl marketplace food hall and I didn't know what to get. I stumbled upon this shop selling hoagies and was checking out their menu. The girl working the front, i believer her name was kimmy, had greeted me and asked how my day was going, what brought me to waikiki, and the sort. It was something you don't get from other places, being treated like a human. After speaking, i told her i didnt know what I was hungry for, and she recommended mario's fave to try. She quickly and neatly prepared my sandwich, and I noticed they had wings on the side as well. She recommended I try the guava bbq sauce wings. So from not knowing what to get, I walked away with two different entrees. The worker was clean, professional, and she took that little extra time just to check in to see how my day was. I've been here twice now and service was great both times! I got the TBA (turkey, bacon, avocado. This sandwich is LOADED so for the price it's a great portion for me. I ordered a pastrami sandwich 12" for $21! It was so lacking in pastrami and the bread was cold even though it looks fresh. The pastrami quality was like oscar myers bologna, worse than Safeway quality. The price was outrageous for a sandwich a few pegs down from subway. They should call this place "Super Market Hoagie for outrageous price" (Imagine if the other reviewers went to a real sandwich shop in New York? they would go crazy.) I heard store owners have to be invited to get a stand in this food court, but this Hoagie store was really second rate, like most of the food stores in this food court. Was a good sandwich. Nice and fresh tasting with good meats. Ordered the hoagie and split with the hubby. The employee working there was very accommodating as we were taking a couple of sandwiches back home to the Big Island for friends of ours. Liked the bread as isn't wasn't a lot of bread like you get at Subway. Only downside was the price $20. Thought that was a bit much for the sandwich we got. Our friends back on the Big Island agreed. Service was quick. Staff were friendly. I got a large roast beef and was really happy with the flavor - their vinegar/oil combo is chef's kiss a total reminder of east coast grinders. This establishment is located in the back corner of International Market Place by back entrance (Kuhio). I was there at open at 11 am. I strongly suggest to wait till 11:30. They were not ready for customers at11. The service was slow. 15 minutes to get a sub. I had the trifecta sub, which is turkey, ham,roast beef , cheddar cheese and the fixings. For $3 you can add a pop and chips which I did. With tip bill came to $25. I did have the foot long one. Still I consider it abit pricey even for Waikiki. The sun it self was delicious and there was plenty of meats and cheese. Gave only four stars based on pricing and service. read more

I have to say that the sandwiches here are delicious... if you can get one. The posted hours are 11am - 6pm. I have been there several times at 4pm -5pm and they have been closed. It also takes about 1/2 hour to get a sandwich. Fortunately there is a bar right across from the restaurant, so that helps while you're waiting. Hopefully the owner(s) will see this and improve the restaurant. Again, the sandwiches are delicious! read more

I was disappointed with the food. 99 % lettuce. Took 15 minutes to make sandwich. Sorry but this is a no go for me. I will not be back. Jersey Mikes makes a way better sandwich.
