Fantastic grilled cheese with burger patty and bacon and 4 kinds of cheeses, perfectly spiced and grilled just right. It may not have been the best choice right before bed, but totally worth it. Small place right off the street that has perfected their craft and knows their audience. Well done

This locally owned gem serves up the ultimate comfort food with outstanding service, friendly staff, and plenty of aloha. Everything is made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes, but trust me--it's absolutely worth it. The Spicy Aloha Melt is incredible, and if spice isn't your thing, the Patty Melt is equally delicious. Pair either one with their hot, flavorful tomato soup for the perfect meal. The prices are reasonable, the portions are satisfying, and the quality is top-notch. We had a big day of walking, exploring Waikiki beach and Honolulu, and so we were quite famished when late lunchtime rolled around. Fortunately we caught Aloha Melt shortly before they closed at 2 p.m. for the comfort food we craved. I saw on the menu that they did offer a tomato soup option, which is one of my favorite pairings in the whole wide world... but this was my birthday vacation so we stepped it up a notch! We got the signature Aloha Melt which sounded like it had all the extras anyone would ever want on a dressed-up grilled cheese: carmelized onion, bacon, jalapeñoes! My mouth was watering just thinking about it. But the mission was clear... Get the awesome loaded grilled cheese and commence the day drinking. We ordered our food at what is pretty much a tiny to-go counter and then hustled with our precious cargo to the nearest bar within walking distance. We settled on Rivals, a little sports bar around the bend who accommodated us so sweetly, although we were bringing in outside food. We completed our visionary mission by ordering two fantastic Bloody Marys and had ourselves a very adult grilled cheese experience. A great dining and drinking experience that I will cherish forever... If you could only taste the Aloha!

We took our food to go, and even after a 40-minute drive home, the melt was still delicious. That's always a good sign when food holds up that well after the trip! Simple, satisfying comfort food done right. We will be back!
My mom and I decided to do by here after searching yelp and seeing it was close to the hotel we were staying at. It was on a little busy street with various food options. The store was small with only a few tables instead but nicely decorated and smelled great. Food was made to order so there was a wait but I didn't mind. I got the patty melt and tomato soup. It was a bit greasy but it was delicious. So good that I went back the next day to get it again. The woman who took my order remembered me and my order the next night when I returned. It surprised me! Definitely recommend this delicious place.

It was made super chsseesy, with a crispy, well-grilled exterior (even the crust!). The best part was the sauce on the side. The sriracha aioli was the perfect pairing and really brought everything together. Service could be improved, as the staff didn't say much when taking our order. The ambiance is just okay. There are a few tables inside, but it's pretty minimal. The items on the menu could be heavy but they're delicious.
Right off the main shopping strip, I'm so glad I got to squeeze a stop here. Aloha melt (spicy) was great! Quite heavy and very filling, I could only finish half of the sandwich and barely 1/3 of my soup. Top of the sandwich was nice and crunchy, bottom was a bit soggy, which caught me a bit off guard and was dripping in oil. The spicy sauce on the side has a kick! There was a bit of a wait even with only 5ish orders before mine, with them calling your number when ready. Very beach ambiance inside with a few seats, largest seating 4!

It was so good that I end up coming back for 4 days straight my stay in Hawaii ! I had the following below: *PATTY - 5/5 - It is the best grilled cheese I have ever had in my life ! It has a nice tasty beef patty, 4 cheeses (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone, American) Caramelized onions, Bacon and Aioli sauce ! It was boasting with flavor ! Bread was soft, cheeses were boasting with flavor, aioli sauce was amazing. I really wish i paired this with their tomato dip ! I can only imagine how much this would've complimented the grilled cheese. The service was exceptional ! This place was amazing! I've never had a better grilled cheese sandwich. We ordered the Aloha sandwich and a classic grilled cheese with jalapeños and onions, and both were absolutely delicious. The sandwiches came out quickly, were perfectly toasted, and had so much gooey, melted cheese. All of the toppings worked really well together and made every bite flavorful. Another big plus is that this was one of the few places open late at night, which made it a great option after a long day. The only downside was that it was a little difficult to find an open table since there's limited seating. Other than that, I'd definitely come back and highly recommend it! read more
Walked in around 22:45 for a late night bite on a Thursday night. This place has a constant flow of patrons. Don't be intimidated by the line. The guys hustling back there cooking are efficient. They crank out the orders. We tried the Grilled cheese patty melt with a tomato basil soup. The patty could have used a little salt, but from their perspective I can see how all pf that cheese can help with that. The soup was tasty and amazing. They ate open late and it is appreciated. They take a while to put it all together but it's worth it. The team is friendly, and the portions are outstanding. I had my Aloha Patty Melt with a creamy tomato soup. It was amazing! Didn't even know this place was popular until I saw the long line and watched tiktok. Ordering was fast, but the wait for food took a while. The grilled cheese is really cheesy, and the sauce is good too. It tastes rich and filling. I think half is enough for one person--one full one gets kind of too heavy read more
Stopped by Aloha Melt Waikiki on a whim and was not disappointed. The melt I got was ridiculously cheesy (in the best way possible) and packed with flavor. It hit the spot and definitely felt like comfort food done right. Prices were pretty reasonable for Waikiki, and I felt like the portion and quality matched the value. Small shop, hole in the wall type place but it matched the beachy vibe you want for Hawaii. Full honesty, it absolutely wrecked my stomach later BUT I'm not even mad. This is a small shop that only sells grilled cheese and tomato soup. They seriously have THEE BEST grilled cheese!! They use 4 types of cheese in the sandwich! I ordered the Classic Melt and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup. I waited 25 mins to get my order but it was definitely worth the wait!! The grilled cheese was so cheesy and buttery. The tomato soup paired so nicely with the sandwich! Next time, I will try the Aloha patty melt! That one sounds amazing! Definitely try this spot! They will satisfy your late night cravings! read more

While Wakiki has its fair share of late night spots, Aloha Melt may be one of the best. The place itself is small but don't be fooled as the food is large and filling. The prices are super fair with the basic grilled cheese is $10 and the Aloha Patty Melt is $14, you definitely get what you pay for. The cheese is perfectly melted and the caramelized onion balances out the creaminess of the cheese. If you love cheese pulls and some late night grilled cheese, this is your spot. read more

Very good grilled cheese sandwiches! They have a nice cheese pull and the tomato soup is a must!! I was mad that I didn't get it the first time! One thing for sure is that you must eat the sandwiches right away while they're still hot and fresh- they aren't so tasty once the cheese gets cold! Also they're quite heavy so unless you're starving; they're good to split with someone. Extra Plus is Aloha Melt is open late which is great when your plane lands later than expected. read more

Love love love a good cheesy, melt in your mouth sandwich on a late night on vacation! I found this gem because of this yell community (blessings). This group takes a cheese Sandi's to another level. The meat was VERY well seasoned and the side sauce I don't know what's in it but whew so good. The guys in the back were very busy but still remained kind. We were greeted when we arrived and received our food in a timely fashion. They are open until the am so a great spot to catch a late night treat for the entire family. Tourist first time in Oahu - we walked by their location and it smelled so good, we had to come back for dinner the next day. We got the Classic Melt which came with four cheeses, grilled onions, and aioli. It did NOT disappoint! It was cheesy and the bread was crispy. We were so glad we stopped by! We got to Waikiki late at night and needed a quick meal after landing. Aloha Melt was close to our hotel, so we placed an online order for pickup. The food was ready when we got there, which was great. It's a cute little shop on one of the busy streets on the Waikiki Strip, and the staff is welcoming and quick. We ordered the AP Aloha patty melt and the classic grilled cheese, with a side of soup. Everything was fresh, hot, and really satisfying. The grilled cheese sandwiches were perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The cheese was melted just right and packed with flavor. For the price, the food is very filling and the portion sizes are solid. A great spot for a no-fuss meal, especially if you're getting in late and need something good and easy. read more
