Looking for a late-night bite or something a little different in the heart of Waikiki? Look no further than Aloha Melt! This locally owned gem serves up the ultimate comfort food with outstanding service, friendly staff, and plenty of aloha. Everything is made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes, but trust me--it's absolutely worth it. The Spicy Aloha Melt is incredible, and if spice isn't your thing, the Patty Melt is equally delicious. Pair either one with their hot, flavorful tomato soup for the perfect meal. The prices are reasonable, the portions are satisfying, and the quality is top-notch. If you're tired of the big, heavy meals that Waikiki is known for and want something comforting, fresh, and packed with flavor, Aloha Melt is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We had a big day of walking, exploring Waikiki beach and Honolulu, and so we were quite famished when late lunchtime rolled around. Fortunately we caught Aloha Melt shortly before they closed at 2 p.m. for the comfort food we craved. I saw on the menu that they did offer a tomato soup option, which is one of my favorite pairings in the whole wide world... but this was my birthday vacation so we stepped it up a notch! We got the signature Aloha Melt which sounded like it had all the extras anyone would ever want on a dressed-up grilled cheese: carmelized onion, bacon, jalapeñoes! My mouth was watering just thinking about it. But the mission was clear... Get the awesome loaded grilled cheese and commence the day drinking. We ordered our food at what is pretty much a tiny to-go counter and then hustled with our precious cargo to the nearest bar within walking distance. We settled on Rivals, a little sports bar around the bend who accommodated us so sweetly, although we were bringing in outside food. We completed our visionary mission by ordering two fantastic Bloody Marys and had ourselves a very adult grilled cheese experience. A great dining and drinking experience that I will cherish forever... If you could only taste the Aloha!

This may be a small store, but it serves mighty flavors! We enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich paired with their delicious tomato soup. The soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. We took our food to go, and even after a 40-minute drive home, the melt was still delicious. That's always a good sign when food holds up that well after the trip! Simple, satisfying comfort food done right. We will be back!

My mom and I decided to do by here after searching yelp and seeing it was close to the hotel we were staying at. It was on a little busy street with various food options. The store was small with only a few tables instead but nicely decorated and smelled great. Food was made to order so there was a wait but I didn't mind. I got the patty melt and tomato soup. It was a bit greasy but it was delicious. So good that I went back the next day to get it again. The woman who took my order remembered me and my order the next night when I returned. It surprised me! Definitely recommend this delicious place.

This was right around the block from our hotel. The little spot makes a big presence when you walk by! We said that we have to try it while we are here. We went after surfing one morning. Got the Aloha Patty Melt and the Bacon Patty Melt. Both our them were oozing with cheese and meat. They came with the sauce on the side to dip the grilled cheese in. So freaking good! Small place with 4 tables. Many people take it to go.

If you like one grilled cheese + you like burgers... this is da spot for you Stopped by after a show one night for some dirty grindz and decided to try their aloha patty melt, which includes a patty, 4 cheese blend, jalapeños, bacon, and some sauce. This option is for those of y'all who like some kick and spice in yo life (not spicy at all tho fam). Anyways, this place is super hyped and highly rated anddd I get it. They make some mean grilled cheese! Personally, I can't justify spending $20 for a grilled cheese (after tip) but.,, I'm glad I tried it out! And you should, too.

Many choices of grilled cheese sandwiches. Custom order and omissions available. Friendly service. Tomato soup was good. Simple, friendly and tasty. Small indoor area with a few tables and seats.

If you love cheese, you HAVE to try this place! I ordered the Aloha Melt, which came with cheddar, mozzarella, provolone, bacon, onion, and pickled jalapeño. It was made super chsseesy, with a crispy, well-grilled exterior (even the crust!). The best part was the sauce on the side. The sriracha aioli was the perfect pairing and really brought everything together. Service could be improved, as the staff didn't say much when taking our order. The ambiance is just okay. There are a few tables inside, but it's pretty minimal. The items on the menu could be heavy but they're delicious.

Right off the main shopping strip, I'm so glad I got to squeeze a stop here. Aloha melt (spicy) was great! Quite heavy and very filling, I could only finish half of the sandwich and barely 1/3 of my soup. Top of the sandwich was nice and crunchy, bottom was a bit soggy, which caught me a bit off guard and was dripping in oil. The spicy sauce on the side has a kick! There was a bit of a wait even with only 5ish orders before mine, with them calling your number when ready. Very beach ambiance inside with a few seats, largest seating 4!

This place was hella good. Cheesy, crispy, and filling for such a great price. Tomato soup was thick and creamy, perfect for dipping the grilled cheese in. It's a bit of a wait, not too bad, but totally worth it.

This place is small but might. Late night snack. Best grilled cheese I have had in my life! Simple but delicious. My favorite one was the one with just cheese. What a classic! People are friendly. Just know that you might be eating standing up because there's not a lot of room for tables and chairs.

While Wakiki has its fair share of late night spots, Aloha Melt may be one of the best. The place itself is small but don't be fooled as the food is large and filling. The prices are super fair with the basic grilled cheese is $10 and the Aloha Patty Melt is $14, you definitely get what you pay for. The cheese is perfectly melted and the caramelized onion balances out the creaminess of the cheese. If you love cheese pulls and some late night grilled cheese, this is your spot.

Didn't even know this place was popular until I saw the long line and watched tiktok. Ordering was fast, but the wait for food took a while. The grilled cheese is really cheesy, and the sauce is good too. It tastes rich and filling. I think half is enough for one person--one full one gets kind of too heavy

First, over time, they switched from white bread to whole wheat, which I can understand if they want it to appear healthier. Now it wasn't delicious anymore, but still acceptable. More recently, when I tried it again, the taste seemed off. To my taste, the recipe has changed. I didn't just try one, I tried a second sandwich as well. It is no longer even okay. I will no longer purchase it.

I got their Hawaiian latte-- macademia and coconut which was a little on the sweeter side for me. And my friends got various smoothies which were all really good. We also shared an acai bowl that was super fresh and had strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. They have indoor and outdoor seating and other pastries and items on the menu to order. Super close to Waikīkī beach if you want to enjoy on the beach as well. Service was great, workers were friendly and kind. There were some birds around trying to come for our fruit. Not too sure about parking since it's in a pretty busy area.

This place was just two blocks away, so we braved the November misty rain and consistent wind through the buildings to make it over here. To be fair, this seemed more like a Vietnamese coffee joint and a Banh Mi place... so maybe coming here for pho wasn't our best idea. They had two kinds available that night-- beef and chicken. Since chicken pho is not something I'm willing to try, we both ordered up the dac biet. The broth was bland with a thin and unpleasant veil of grease along the top that congealed quickly on the rim of the bowl. It wasn't hot enough, or maybe the pre-cooked and chilled noodle block they poured it over cooled it off. Meat was chewy and low quality. The sprouts and basil were soggy and wilted. Honestly, it was a get up and leave kind of thing. The whole place was just dingy and didn't feel great. I've eaten at some very modest places in my native San Gabriel Valley in Southern California, so it's not a snobbery thing. It's a "someone get a Swiffer wet jet and some paper towels and give this whole place a once-over. Speaking of once, that's the sum total of times we'll ever eat here. It was served with a slice of freshly toasted garlic bread that was warm, fragrant, and perfectly crisp without being overly toasted. // Wailua Moana Açaí Bowl So refreshing! Easily one of the best açaí bowls we've had. The texture was thick and smooth with a great balance of fresh fruit, crunchy granola, and healthy fats from the nuts. Every bite was delicious. // Matcha We ordered both the regular matcha latte with coconut foam and the strawberry matcha latte. I was so disappointed they no longer offer the lilikoi matcha- I know that flavor combination would've been amazing! Hopefully they bring it back someday. The matcha itself was on the lighter side compared to richer ceremonial matchas, but it was still smooth, well-balanced, and not at all astringent. It paired really well with the oat milk, and both drinks were enjoyable. There was a line out the door during breakfast/brunch hours, which shows just how popular this place is. Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and efficient, and we were able to grab a small table to dine in. It's located on the upper level of the Royal Hawaiian Center, making it a convenient stop while shopping in Waikiki. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu (hoping the lilikoi matcha will make a comeback too)!

The pesto chicken salad was loaded with beautiful green goodies which made this treat as aesthetically pleasing as it was delectable. They're also slapping down some of the best local Hawaiian ingredients into these here sanguines. The pesto itself was mac-nut based, which was intriguing. I'll be honest, I couldn't taste the difference between that and a pine nut pesto, but it was friggin delish pesto either way. The only downside I can think of is that the bread here lands somewhere between "ok" and "good". I've never had a bread quite like it, but it reminds me of a mix between an artisanal white bread, and a painini bread that you would find in Italy. It got the job done, but I feel like it could be upgraded. Sprout is worth a visit before or after your beach trip.
