Parasailing in Oahu!
Kerissa C.

My family's favorite experience in Oahu so far! Russell and Diego made the ride enjoyable and not groggy at all! Can't wait to do it again!

Keely A.

Such an incredible time and experience! Would definitely recommend. The crew was awesome, equipment to parasail is very safe and photos are for purchase for $40. Definitely worth it!

I have parasailed before but did it again because my friends had never tried it before. This is such a fun experience we recommend 100%. My friends LOVED IT! We even convinced two of them who are afraid of heights. If you are afraid of heights, I guarantee you will still love this experience. Diego and Richard were super fun! They showed us so much Aloha we 100% recommend that you try to get them as your captain and guide! They are super cool and made the experience so much fun!! 6 out of 6 of us would use Hawaiian Parasail again! Close to Waikiki and left right in time! So much fun!

Great experience, we had so much fun! Both of us are terrified of heights but it very doable! Our sailors made it an easy going experience and played great music.

Had an amazing time and recommend it to everyone. I'm 68 and went with my 38 year old son and we both enjoyed it equally! Instructions are clear and they have a system of how they put on your harness and life jacket. I recommend making sure the legs of your harness fit right under your butt as soon as you're on deck because you are in the air quickly once they hook you to the parachute and if its too low in your thighs or too high in your crotch it won't feel good. We did the 1,000 feet and were up there a long time. Once you're on deck to go tell the captain if you want a water landing or not. We said "don't be easy on us" and got two amazing water dunks and lots of flying. Someone wrote about tipping on a review and here's the deal. The photographer isn't just a photographer- he is the guy who does all of the safety work and he does deserve a tip. We tipped him $20. Pics are amazing and worth spending $40 per family. They upload them to your phone and give you an SD card. We took a LYFT from our hotel and had no issues finding it. It is really close to the lagoon so if you get there early you can walk over there and see the fish or swim.

We had a wonderful experience for my husband, 13 year old son who parasailed, and myself, an observer. We walked up without any appointment to check into it and they were headed out on a tour right then. Offered us a great discount if we wanted to join the group. We did. Everyone from the office person to the 2 gentlemen on the crew were fantastic and helped calm the nerves of our teen. Gave us clear instructions. Took fantastic photos to document the occasion and added a bit of humor. We will absolutely return on our next trip back. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First time here. One of my daughters really wanted to do this, so.... I had never really thought about doing this before. I was a little nervous but they don't give you a lot of time to sit with that feeling. There really isn't much instruction. That's fine. There's enough. You get attached to the parasail on the back of the boat and then they allow the (very secure) metal cable out until you are hundreds of feet above the beautiful ocean waters of Hawaii. If you want, they can dunk you in the ocean before you come back to the boat. I told them I wanted a good, thorough dunking. I recommend this company and this activity. It's great fun.

Great experience! Great personable staff! Great value! Better memories! Sistah Deborah in the booth is awesome! Captain Shanki & partnah Russell are the best! They took great care of us - their experience was evident & greatly appreciated! For an extra $40 they'll take 100+ pictures for you & download them to your phone once back at the booth, & give you the memory card also. This experience was a great, convenient (located in the parking lot of the marina, adjacent to the lagoon) quick (one hour) last minute (booked online hours before) no-brainer. If you're undecided, don't be - just book/do it & enjoy! And tip 'em plenty - it's well deserved!

Ocean - we saw some whales out at sea.

First time doing Thai. It was amazing. If you are scared, Don't be it really is an amazing experience and nothing to be afraid of. The staff is amazing and they are very experienced. They crack jokes and take some great photos you can purchase. We would do this again. Not to mention we sailed with some great people who weren't 1st timers and helped reassure us. The wind was really whipping that day but it was so much fun. We will do it again. This guys are amazing.

Hawaiian Parasail Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hawaiian Parasail

Is there a nearby bathroom where you can change into a swim suit?

No you can wear one under your clothes or just wear shorts and shirt. You don't have to get wet if you don't want to.

How long is the whole experience? From boat ride, parasailing, and back at the dock? Thank you!

1 hour

With the company being so close to Waikiki, how difficult is it to find parking?

Their kiosk is basically in a parking lot. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Can you bring your phone while you're up in the air?

Yes! I suggest you bring a waterproof case/bag for your phone! Keeps it tied around your neck and safe from getting wet! :)

Is it best to parasail in the morning? I'm worried about my son and I getting sea sick while sitting on the boat. I'm wondering if the ocean isn't as choppy in the morning.

I prefer the afternoon but That's personal preference. Call them and they will let you know when the best time to go. I went with my 11 year old and one day it was too windy and we went the next day.… Read more

Dolphins and You - Best Dolphin Watch and Turtle Snorkel on Oahu!

The bus arrived right on time, and our driver, Cheryl, was awesome and hilarious. Once we got to the boat, Captain Zach was fantastic, and Leilani, our lovely hula dancer, added such a special touch to the whole experience. From start to finish, we loved every single second. The crew was fun, professional, and made us feel completely at ease. We were even lucky enough to see whales, which made the trip extra unforgettable! I've told everyone I know about this experience and can't wait to come back and try the dolphin tour next time. This place is absolutely a 10 out of 10--highly recommend!

This tour is very misleading online snd I want to make sure ppl know what they are signing up for…read more The staff was wonderful and very organized. But despite being called a "Dolphin and You" tour, there is only dolphin WATCHING from the boat -- no swimming with dolphins. They also only stop at one snorkel spot in shallow waters.m whereas most companies have you snorkel at 2. Maybe if I had never been on another tour, I would have thought this was good, but I'd only recommend this for people who want to mainly watch things from the boat and not snorkel. I honestly saw more marine life where I live in OC. On a previous tour with a different company, I swam in waters where dolphins were swimming all around and underneath me -- it was a core memory, and I was hoping to recreate that experience. They also don't let you swim very far from the boat, which made the experience feel overly restrictive. Because the website is not clear I will lay down the iternary: 6:00am pick-up from hotel (about 1.5 hrs to get there) Restroom stop at Fareharbor 1 hr dolphin watching--basically your just on a boat 1 hr snorkel--will see sparse fish 1 hr return--will give you sandwich and water cups no water bottles, temporary tattoo offered Return to hotel: another 1.5 hrs to drop everyone off etc Kind of waste of money $180+ and my precious vacation time. Also, be wary of the reviews. They offer incentives for leaving one. Sorry, but as a Yelp Elite, my honest opinion can't be bought.

We didn't book in advance. I looked at several different places the night before and H2O Sports Hawaii was the best fit for our short turnaround. We arrived early and were checked in right away. After a short wait, our ride came to pick us up. There was only one other couple who signed up for parasailing at the time of our booking, so it was just the four of us on the boat the whole time. We chose the Higher Flyer 800' option, which is the highest they will go. The website says it's 45-60 minutes on the boat and six minutes in the air. I think we were in the air for a few minutes longer, which was really nice. I wish we had a hands-free camera with us because the view was unreal. However, they did take photos of us which we later purchased. The staff on the boat were wonderful and helpful. I was very impressed that they spoke multiple languages fluently. They really cater to tourists and generously gave great recommendations on where to go and what to see. I would recommend parasailing with H2O Sports Hawaii.

Despite booking months in advance and confirming pricing over email, I was given incorrect information. I was told to book a lower‑priced package, only to be told on the day of the event that the price was actually higher -- the same price I originally expected before they told me to downgrade. When I showed them the email chain, instead of acknowledging their mistake, they were dismissive, snarky, and acted like I didn't understand their own packages. Then came the restroom situation. They asked if anyone needed to use the bathroom since there wouldn't be an option once we were out on the water. We said yes, and the response was, "Ours is broken, so go to McDonald's." That level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable, especially toward paying customers on their last day of vacation. If I hadn't prepaid months earlier, I would have canceled immediately. The attitude continued during the photo purchase process. We had two sets of photos and videos. We only wanted one set because we liked more pictures from that batch. When we explained that we only liked one photo from the other set, a staff member cut us off with, "We don't sell individual pictures -- you have to buy the whole thing." Exactly why we weren't buying it. The tone was rude and unnecessary. The on‑water team was great, but the administrative staff's attitude, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service overshadowed everything. Based on these interactions, I would strongly recommend choosing a different company for water activities in Oahu.
