Today I took my autistic son in due to him having dental pain. We checked in everything was fine. The dentist saw him and we were told he needed a root canal. We were told to come back later to have it done and see the receptionist for the payment amounts. I asked Pamela due to it being the holidays and root canals are expensive if I could speak to the dentist to see if there was anything else that could be done to alleviate my child's pain. Well Pamela loudly informs me they don't give out pain medication. I stated I never asked for pain medication and can I speak to the dentist. She walks down the hall and loudly says to someone. Well she wants to know what can we do for pain and that she didn't ask for pain medication. She was extremely rude. Violating Hippa laws also by speaking loudly in the hall were I heard her all the way back up to the front. The Dr was nice and apologized for her behavior. However it's not enough. What made her think to say this to me? Why was she so adamant about pain medication not being given to my child? I understand the opioid epidemic in Wa however my son nor I asked for any type of medication. So that leaves it to the color of our skin. I don't recommend anyone go here. I also called an left a voicemail which is also Pamela's, I guess she didn't get it because the Dentist called and my husband let him know we were not coming back. If your office staff is that rude and violates hippa laws in that way how can I be comfortable allowing my child to come back. Your staff reflects on you as a Doctor. read more

Took my kids here for cleanings and fillings. Over the course of several appointments my opinion got worse and worse. The last time I took my kids they both came out of his office crying because the dental work was painful for them and they told me he had told them to "stop crying and stop acting like a baby." Worst dentist I have ever been too and I wouldn't take my family back there if he were the last dentist in the area. Sorry but that is not the way to treat patients. read more

Fantastic service and even better dentistry. I've been seeing Dr. Hoffman for many years. I've always gotten more than just maintenance dentistry. He's always looking toward improving my oral health. He's informative and caring and his work is excellent. My wife loves going to him as well. What I really want to talk about though, is the service we got for our son. We took him to Dr. Hoffman at age 4 and he pointed out some future problems our son would have with crowding and the potential health problems it could cause. He outlined a plan to create additional space for his adult teeth to be able to grow into and we began on the plan. Our son turns thirteen this June and I can't tell you what a wonderful difference being in Dr. Hoffman's care has made in his life! Thank you Dr. Hoffman! read more

Been going here for many years, they treat my wife and I like family now. Went to 2 other dentists during this time due to insurance coverage and a temporary move. Although I've been impressed with other facilities, these guys are so personal and caring I will stay with them until I move out of the area. read more

Dr. Hoffman said he does "family" dentistry. Unfortunately I don't feel he knows anything about helping parents care for their baby's teeth. I took my son to see this "dentist" when he was 12 months of age. Granted, I had only met the dentist a few times before at my dental appointments. We planned to take our baby in at 12 months per his pediatricians directed. We did ALOT of night nursing, while he was learning to sleep. I noticed that he had some staining in two of his front teeth. I asked him what he could do to see whether it was a cavity or not and treat it. He said that he was too young to do anything, and that we would "watch it". I took him in again around 17months when the stain was getting worse, and a third time about 2 months ago. Each time I was told the same thing. He never offered a flouride treatment, parental education, he didn't even touch my son. He simply said "well will he even let me look in his mouth?" I was disgusted at his lack of chair side manner and tackiness. He made me feel stupid for bringing him in at that age when the AAP suggests it. The assistant offered to try to polish his teeth, which he allowed. It didn't sit right with me and I chose to take our patient care to a acutal pediatric dentist in town. We went in, he thoroughly check his mouth, and did a flouride treatment. Unfortunately for us, our son did infact have two cavities in his front teeth. He is now 20 months old and has to go under general anethesia to have his dental work done. If Dr. Hoffman would have taken a better approach, or any approach at all I suspect we could have done alot to help prevent the severity of decay in his teeth that spread. Yes, I have been brushing his teeth and gums before he barely had any. I am frustrated that I didn't research this dentist more, and that there are no reviews about his dental office. I will say that he has pleasant staff, and they are probably the only reason he has patients at all. He is callous, and rude. I have learned this lesson the hard way. Again this is MY experience, but we won't be going here ever again. read more

I told Dr Hoffman the tooth he was working on was tender and the one below it hurt. He didn't do anything to ease the pain or investigate the tooth below it. The front office over charged me. I requested a refund of the overpayment and they declined. They explaining that if the insurance company didn't pay more I would owe more! I requested they contact the insurance company. They said they would and call me back (they didn't). I went to their office to check on any progress and was told to take a seat while she finished (what appeared to be filing) and then she would get to me! I had to get my insurance company involved to get my refund. I received a refund check (3 days after the doctor signed it) by mail (no invoice or correspondence). Dr. Hoffman appears to be very arrogant and his front office uncaring! I went to another dentist, for the lower tooth. They found a bad tooth root and had to extract the tooth. read more

So I am a service member that was sent to this dental office because the one on base was short on appointment availability and I was about to deploy. Okay, no problem. The cleaning went well, I guess as well as those things can go. At least the tech didn't ask me a bunch of questions that required answers while her hands were jammed in my mouth (why do they do that?), but I digress. My real issue came when they got me ready to replace a deteriorated filling. A different tech installed a "rubber dam",which is never especially comfortable but kind of necessary to the procedure, right? After all, it isn't like I expected having a hole drilled into my head to be comfortable. What I didn't expect was having to lie there for nearly forty minutes drooling all over myself alone in a room waiting for the dentist to actually show up. If I had to wait, fine, but don't make me wait all numbed up and choking on a latex screen for the better part of an hour! Ironically, once I quit screwing around on Facebook and whatnot, and started to draft my Yelp review, he suddenly showed up and started the work. Weird. Then I got a really terse apology and he began the drilling. I guess the work was okay, but i noticed that the anesthetic was already wearing off before he was done, perhaps if I hadn't had to wait so long that wouldn't have been a problem. I didn't pick this dentist, and I wouldn't recommend him. read more

This dentist is a Crook at best! After getting an initial exam and having my teeth and my two daughters teeth cleaned. I realized this dentist office was far below average and all they want is your money. I, supposedly got a deep cleaning but it was a normal cleaning. They called it a deep cleaning so they could charge me $268.00 for a normal 35 min cleaning. What a Ripp off! The hygienist barely polished on my teeth. She did a half-assed job flossing and never offered or gave me fluoride. I took my two daughters there to for an exam and cleaning. She didn't scrape either daughters teeth. The dentist and hygienist said my daughters had very clean teeth. Wow, in over 15 years that was a first for either daughter. She polished and flossed both daughters teeth and gave one daughter fluoride. The dentist never checked the hygienist work. Both daughters got their teeth cleaned in less than 10 minutes. Hmmm $120 for an 8 min cleaning and neither daughter was given a toothbrush of floss. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Hoffman's for about 7-8 years. I initially went to him for a consultation for braces. I talked to a few dentist about my special case. Most wanted to do surgery afterward to move my chin forward. Dr Hoffman didn't do the work, but what he did was refer me to another dentist that specialized in my kind of bite. Long story short, he could have done the work but thought I would be happier with a less invasive procedure. He has been our family dentist since. Always very pleasant, friendly and caring. His staff is absolutely wonderful. I go in for cleanings every six months and Sherry does a great job to make me feel comfortable and forget I'm in the chair. I recently went in for a couple of crowns and have to say I didn't feel a thing. They even put a mouth rest in my mouth so my jaw is not strained from holding it open for so long. This is a great practice. Warm, friendly and caring. I have never had an unpleasant experience in the years I have been with them. I also am retired military and happy to have found them so close to home. Very accommodating on appointments and always available to answer questions about insurance. read more
