When you walk in it's a blast from an era long gone ...this use to be a lumber yard now turned into a beautiful country restaurant !

In my opinion this is one outstanding restaurant The food was fresh and well prepared and presented perfectly I had the prime rib with seafood topping and my friend had the prime rib with scallops perfect Worth the drive of 70 miles The server was very knowledgeable and helped us work through the menu Explained everything The tables were well set so everyone could have a nice conversation .

So, my husband goes every Wednesday night, they have a prime rib special for $21, includes side and salad bar. We arrived at 4:45 pm, sat down , and we had to wait for our drinks to order our meal. Party of 6. We told her we were there for the earlybird special upon arrival. By the time she brought our drinks and took our order It was 4:59 PM. She refused to give us the early bird special. She says it ends at 5 o'clock, however, we were there and I did bring that up. She said sorry they won't let her do anything about it. We were bringing company there, so as not to embarrass ourselves instead of it being $126 for food , not including tip for 6, plus we all had drinks, it was $400. Based on that we won't be going back. We have company that comes about every couple of months and we often go to this restaurant. Not anymore.

Good quality napkins!! We all know nothing worse than crappie napkins.

Camping at Letchworth, had a busy day, missed lunch. Walked in, if you're hungry, this is the place to be. Really fresh, clean salad bar. This also includes 3 soups.

This place is a hidden gem. Our waiter is Morgan was very attentive and was super nice. Our meals were fantastic. The atmosphere is very cool and you feel like your sitting in the old lumber mill. I had the Seafood Prime Rib which is a 10 Oz prime rib smothered in shrimp, scallops and crab meat along with sautéed peppers and onions served with a twice baked potato. You also get soup and salad with your dinner. I promise you won't go home hungry. It was delicious. This is one of their more expensive meals, $32, but well worth every penny. While your down there be sure to stop in the Silver Lake Brewery for a beer. They are just around the corner.

Don't let the outside of this establishment fool you, the inside is delicious! The four of us enjoyed the salad bar and the great service. The food was plentiful and delicious! Enjoy the pictures.

Prompt service, friendly, kind voice. The salad bar & soup station was a plus ...less waste & you can get what you like . The ambiance is different. This is a restored lumber yard. Apparently train ran thru it at one once. The beans are all reclaimed wood. It's got a good vibe. The bar is ample & looks like people come to stay & chat. Looks like reservations are the norm except for the tavern part but we came early & had no issues with seating. Drank Rose & Pino both were fresh and not acidic. Worth the stop!

I found Hawley Lumber Yard Restaurant to be a really excellent restaurant. I must say it is surprising to find a good place like this in the City of Perry, New York. From the looks of the crowd I'm sure it attracts customers from all over the area. As I had heard that they had a really great prime rib, I ordered their Prime Rib Oscar, $30.99, and indeed it was totally excellent. It was rare as ordered and exceptionally tasty as the cheese sauce was of a smoked Gouda that not only paired well but actually enhanced.

Chips, thick-cut, salty sauce, shredded cheese, toms & chives (missing ? for $15, maybe bacon or shredded prime rib, focal menu item).

Ambiance and service were decent. Food was just OK. We were here on a rainy Sunday evening, it was not busy. Looks like a local favorite.

They were surprisingly busy for a Thursday night, but she handled the chaos with a smile and was super polite to all the guests and her coworkers too. We had these incredible local beers, Ellicottville brewing co- blueberry wheat. Courtney let us try them first and WOW! Delicious. For dinner, we had a house salad, the bbq pizza with banana peppers, and the wing with the raspberry jalapeño sauce. All was outstanding- but the pizza was an 11/10! Between the service and the food, we'd 100% recommend this place!

The mashed potatoes were delicious and flavorful with the bacon and cheese. I didn't like the apple slaw which consisted of apples, slaw, and onions. It did have a good light vinegar dressing. Overall, good meal. I had my dinner ate before the rest of the table received their burgers.

We actually had made a reservation for 630pm, but they let us move it up to 530pm without a problem. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, with a rustic feel to it. I will say, the service was pretty slow throughout the night, but when we did the servers were attentive. For starters, we ordered the prime rib potato skins and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks seemed like your run of the mill mozzarella sticks, not bad but not great. The flavor of the prime rib potato skins was pretty good! The only downfall was that they were like warm, and I wish they were hot. The horseradish sauce that came with the potato skins was absolutely delicious. For the next course, I ordered a cup of the cream of broccoli soup, my wife ordered the Caesar salad, my mom ordered the wedge salad, and my dad ordered the lobster bisque. My cream of broccoli soup was very delicious, I just added a dash of pepper for a little hint of spice. The Caesar salad is made table side, which is a nice touch. The salad had a good flavor and the homemade croutons were very good. My mom's salad was absolutely ginormous, like literally a whole half of a head of lettuce. My dad said he really enjoyed his soup, and it wasn't too fishy tasting as some lobster bisque can be. For dinner I ordered the meatball Parmesan special which was pretty good. The meatballs and red sauce were seasoned very well. The only downfall was that my pasta was cooked a little too long, so it was mushy. My wife ordered the chicken Parmesan, and had the same problem with her pasta. She also said that the breading of the chicken parm was mushy, and had an eggy flavor. My mom ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked well and seasoned well. My dad ordered the chicken oscar, and had a little mishap where the server thought he ordered the chicken osier. The staff was good though and had the correct dish cooked and packaged to go for him, and took the meal off the check. Overall our dinner was good here, it was mainly the slow service and some of the details such as the pasta being mushy that bought me to a 3 star rating.
