Updated happy hour - ends at 6pm now - no longer 7pm

Yes yes and yes!! Happy hours at the bar is the best. The secret is out and it's always busy so be prepared to fight for a seat. Normally, we grab a few glasses of wine. Their shrimp cocktail is unbelievable. The burger is unreal and the bartenders are amazing - Desiree and Jack!

What a gem this place is. Enjoyed bites and drinks from the happy hour menu. Food and service was amazing along with the live music. This will be a local favorite of mine. Didn't break the bank either.

Hawthorne Grill is one of the best spots I've visited recently. The ambiance is excellent, the staff is friendly, and both the appetizers and cocktails are top-notch! I stopped by for Happy Hour and was seated immediately at a comfortable sofa right in front of the big screen. It was perfect for catching the Miami vs. Indianapolis game. Whether you're looking for a new Happy Hour spot or a beautiful setting for a date night, this is the place. It's clean, spacious, classy but not over the top, and beautifully decorated with high-quality furniture.

I came here yesterday, Saturday, for happy hour with two of my best friends to celebrate a fun bday happy hour for me. We sat at the bar and were served by Byrd and Desiree, both of whom are AMAZING bartenders and everything overall. Desiree made most of our drinks- by far, the BEST, bartender and drinks we have EVER had!! One of my besties and I love Sidecars, and even though it's not on the menu, she made it AMAZINGLY, even better than the best typical Sidecar ever! She did a sugar and spice rim, it definitely changed the drink for the better and made it unique. Even the twirled orange peel was the best orange peel twist I've had! Haha Desiree for sure knows her stuff front to back upside down and all around when it comes to drinks!!! Byrd was very attentive as well and quick to serve us and make sure we were taken care of. I ordered the shishito peppers, burger and the truffle steak fries, Fade to Black cocktail, and Desiree's Sidecar. We love this place and everything about it!!!

I had to check out the new daily happy hour from 4-7. I don't recall their hh ever being until 7. The bar was almost full and there were a few tables occupied near the bar. The menu contains a nice variety of specialty cocktails for half price and and appetizers such as meatball sliders, charcuterie and tuna tacos. I was considering the hh burger, but the $16 price seems too much for hh. The $7 meatball sliders were very good! I also had a glass of white sangria, which was very tasty and a good hh price for $7. They advertise hh as at the patio and bar, and there is outdoor seating on the patio.

Hawthorn Grill is located in the JW Marriott and it's an expansive property. The patio we sat at for a cocktail was beautiful and there are usually Koi fish and ducks in the flowing water channels. We did not eat here, but we did enjoy the happy hour prices for the drinks. Service was kinda slow, could be because it's a Monday. Overall decent place.

I recently ordered takeout from this spot and overall had a very good experience. The prices are quite reasonable, and the portions felt fair for the value. I went with the filet mignon cooked medium rare, and it was executed perfectly--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Caesar salad was crisp and refreshing, while the fries arrived piping hot and satisfying. The only miss for me was the mac and cheese, which turned out a bit too runny and lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for. Since I only did takeout, I can't speak much to the service or full ambiance, but the space looked inviting from what I saw. All in all, a solid option while staying at the hotel.

Located within the JW Marriott, wife and I have enjoyed full and scrumptious breakfasts daily during our weeklong visit. Excellent service in addition to white linens. Relaxed atmosphere looking out at water feature w visiting waterfowl.

Restaurant is gorgeous. We had the private room and service was fantastic. This was seriously the best steak I've ever had! The mushrooms and mashed potatoes complimented it so well.

Hawthorn Grill happy hour is dangerous in the best way. Gorgeous lounge bar live music on Saturday and such a great vibe. Byrd was our server and was amazing and Desiree behind the bar makes incredible cocktails. Shrimp cocktail was so good I had to come back the next day just for it. Meaty shrimp unreal sauce and the burger with truffle fries did not disappoint. Great happy hour prices plus a fun casino and free parking with a full garage makes being off the Strip even better. Highly recommend

The food is average priced most decent options running you $20+ also there isn't all day breakfast which is a tick against them as well. I couldn't find any sort of discount, players special or graveyard special unfortunately. I had the grill cheese and tomato soup which was only $10 and pretty good and the service was also good the only thing not to my liking was the Irish coffee it was prepared with too much baileys which harmed the taste. As far as gaming is concerned there is no welcome offer, I couldn't see any other sort of promotion active either no four of a kind bonus, point multiplier, free play, etc... just points it remains to be seen if they even send out mailers. Beyond that the game quality is poor 6/5 bonus poker and 8/5 DDB is the best you are going to get so everything is below a 97% return. Overall just your average gaming bar I don't see enough value for me to come back even though it's a nice location. This bar would do good to add more gaming and food specials otherwise I'd recommend going elsewhere or to the nearby casinos which provide more value.

The quality is nowhere near what it used to be and felt like a significant downgrade. It's honestly sad because this used to be one of our regular spots. The Wine Selection From the moment you approach the tasting bar, you're greeted by an impressive array of options. Their wine list spans over 40 selections, featuring both house-produced vintages and carefully curated local and international bottles. The staff truly knows their stuff--I asked for recommendations based on my preferences and received spot-on suggestions that paired beautifully with our meal. The reserve cellar tour was also a highlight, revealing some rare bottles you won't find elsewhere. The Food What surprised me most was how the kitchen rivals many standalone restaurants. The charcuterie board was artisanal quality--house-cured meats, cheeses, and preserves made on-site. For mains, the crab Louie was flavorful. Each dish seemed designed with wine pairing in mind, creating a harmonious balance rather than competition between plate and glass. The Ambience Whether you're there for a romantic evening or gathering with friends, the vibe strikes the right note. Live acoustic music on weekends adds charm without overpowering conversation. Final Thoughts This isn't just a place to drink wine--it's a destination where food, beverage, and environment come together seamlessly. Anyone seeking authentic Chicago food will most likely be disappointed with this restaurant. Let's start with the simple dish, a classic Vienna hot dog. They GRILL the hot dogs here which any self respecting Chicago native knows is the incorrect way to prepare the dog! The traditional way to cook a Vienna dog in Chicago (and everywhere else) is to boil them. Charring the Vienna hot dog KILLS the unique flavor that Vienna is know for. Next while they do offer the classic Italian Beef sandwich, they DO NOT offer the Italian Sausage to go with it! The classic Italian beef and sausage sandwich is NOWHERE to be found in this establishment! The Italian Beef they carry is questionable coming from Vienna, If it is in deed Vienna Beef ( which I doubt) it is certainly not prepared correctly and as a result lacks the correct flavor and texture of any Italian Beef you will find in Chicago! And last but not least, their thin crust pizza leaves a LOT to be desired! I ordered their thin crust pizza and it was TERRIBLE! A very bland and tasteless pizza crust complete with some of the WORST sausage one will ever encounter! (similar to the sausage your grammar school served on their pizza) FAR from your traditional thin crust pizza you will find at any location in the city of Chicago! I didn't even attempt to try their deep dish pizza as I can only imagine how awful it probably is. I didn't even bother to take the leftovers home as they wouldn't even be fit for my dog! THE BOTTOM LINE: With the word "Chicago" in their name, this place LACKS just about anything that is authentic to Chicago! Even their giardiniera peppers are subpar to any you will experience in Chicago. While this place may be passable to those who have never dined in Chicago or who are unfamiliar with traditional Chicago food, if you are a Chicago native STAY AWAY as you will most likely be extremely disappointed! There are much better restaurants in the Las Vegas area that serve better Chicago food. Enjoy!
