I have had them come and do three different jobs: annual maintenance on a boiler, service inspection on an ERV/Home ventilation system, and quote to replace an HRV/Home ventilation system. The annual maintenance on the boiler was a little problematic. Making the appointment was easy, they are really quick and efficient about the booking process. The plumber showed up exactly on-time and communicated when he was en route. The plumber identified a faulty expansion tank and offered to replace it immediately. All good experience to that point even though the price was a little high. After he completed the work I found that he left a valve in the wrong position, turned down my boiler too low, didn't change out the back flow preventer (which leaked when the water supply was turned back on), and my in-floor heat controller was in an error state due to a bad sensor that he never caught. I called them back after he left (and a friend who knows boilers took a look at the work). Diamond at least sent the plumber back out a few days later to inspect and correct the issues at no extra cost. Grade A customer service, grade C for the plumber making the mistakes. I also had someone come and inspect my broken HRV system. The guy said it was too old and couldn't be fixed. What he meant was, "I don't feel like doing the work to fix it". After a few hours of taking apart and investigating I found the problem was a bad motor, found a replacement motor on Amazon, put everything back together and my old HRV system was up and running for $200. Diamond wouldn't even quote me a price to fix the HRV. I had Diamond send someone out to quote me a replacement cost for that same broken ERV system. They quoted me something around $5,000. As I stated, I was able to fix the old one for $200, so I didn't bite. The guy who came out to quote me for the replacement didn't really know the difference between an HRV and an ERV. Overall, Anchorage doesn't have many options for boiler/ERV technicians. I like Diamond's preferred customer program, that I get bumped to the front of the line if I have an emergency. If I lived in the lower-48 I'd probably look for another company.

He checked out furnace and said old unit. Went to shop to see if he could get part. Gone more than 30 minutes. Got back and said this part better work. At 4:30 showed my husband broken part. Said couldn't weld or do anything to unit. I started calling multiple vendors in town to get new furnace installation bids. My husband took broken part to friend for help. When returned I'm on a second level up in our home and hear a screaming match in my garage. I walked down and tech was yelling at my husband- appeared to be getting very aggressive. I said why are you yelling at my husband? He said I have to get paid. I said you have a credit card on file-bill us. We asked him to leave. My husband took broken part to welder and Anchorage plumbing and heating fixed my furnace in a hour while Diamond had us spend miserably cold night in house with no heat. Temperature inside next am was 42 degrees. Stay away from this company. Our experience was brutal and they want to charge us $100 more for doing nothing except leaving us without heat. What is suppose to happen is when the technician comes to your property to diagnose the issue, they are suppose to upload the info to HSA. HSA will then grant authorization to start the job. Once the job is completed, the plumber is suppose to send the invoice to HSA. Based on the repair, HSA will either pay them or will bill you if it's not covered under warranty. Trey did not upload the diagnosis that was completed 2 weeks ago and had his service tech complete the repair. I called HSA 3 times that day of the repair to ask if I had to pay. They told me that "until he uploads the diagnosis we cannot do anything." So, I asked "then what do I do if they ask for payment once job is completed?" They advised "do NOT pay and explain to them to reach out to HSA." Trey explained to Mark that I had two different work orders 1) for the leak and 2) main shut off valve, saying that HSA will only cover the leak and not the main shut off. That didn't make sense to me because to fix the leak you need to fix the shut off valve. So after the repair was completed, I got on the phone with HSA to confirm AGAIN. Unfortunately, the tech waited with me and eventually left. This was a 4 hour repair. I didn't get to talk to a rep until being on the phone for 1 hour. After I explained my situation, I asked if the diagnosis was uploaded and the rep said "No. We're still waiting for their diagnosis..." That confirms to me that he is trying to double dip or perform fraud. Trey has no integrity. It's sad because I am all for supporting small family local businesses. But Trey is trying to take more money from customers who give up and don't want to handle the guilt. When this was happening, Trey did not call me once. He had his technicians fighting on his behalf. As other reviews have stated, he only communicates through text messaging. I attempted to call him once and he did not pick up or return my call. But texting him, he will respond easily. If you're like me and you have HSA warranty, and they use this plumbing service (because you have no choice), do NOT pay them! What you do is get an HSA rep on the phone on standby when their close to finishing the repair and have HSA tell them that the customer will NOT pay. I saved my family $475. The funny thing is that the next day, the technician (not the owner) called me and said "HSA is covering the costs. So don't worry about the payment." Please be aware and please treat his technicians well. The technicians are hard working and their just following what Trey says. Trey should be handling the issues between customers and HSA but he's having his technicians do it.

Asked about cleaning out my water tank (my friend did theirs recently) and they suggested that since there wasn't any discoloring/rust in my hot water, it would not be a good idea due to the age of my water heater and that it has not been done since I owned the house (six years). They are so busy it was booked out two months! Would be smart to book early with them. Two technicians arrived wearing masks and respecting social distancing. Once they serviced my furnace and water heater, they gave me a detailed report and cleared me for the year. It is really refreshing not to be upsold. I will be using Moore's Heating again.
