The staff was very helpful particularly Nicholas and Varian. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about.

It was a difficult and stressful decision because I really didn't want to return the drill, but I had no other choice. The young associate at the Service Desk was courteous and doing his best, but he was unable to process the refund. The original debit card I used to purchase the drill was tied to a bank account that had since been closed, so refunding the original payment method wasn't possible. A store credit also wouldn't help because I needed the money to pay my bills. The associate repeatedly told me there were no other options and even tried to convince me that calling a manager wouldn't make any difference. I respectfully disagreed. I simply wanted to make sure every possible option had been explored before giving up. I asked that a manager come over so I could hear the answer directly from someone with the authority to make those decisions. While the associate was explaining the situation over the phone, I had to remind him to mention one of the most important details--that my original bank account had been closed. That was a key part of why this wasn't a typical return and why I felt a manager's assistance was appropriate. Manager Daniel came over and immediately approached the situation with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help. Instead of focusing on why something couldn't be done, he focused on finding a solution. After working through the issue, he was able to authorize a cash refund. Daniel completely turned around what had been a very stressful experience. He demonstrated excellent leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-first attitude that I believe every manager should strive for. As someone who spends a significant amount of money at Home Depot, this is exactly the level of service that keeps customers coming back. I also hope the associate learned something valuable from the experience. Sometimes the answer isn't "no"--it's simply that the situation requires someone with additional authority or experience. Daniel showed that taking a few extra minutes to explore every option can make a tremendous difference in a customer's day. Thank you, Daniel, for your professionalism, compassion, and outstanding customer service. Home Depot made an excellent decision in promoting you to a management position, and I hope your leadership is recognized. You made my day, and I'm truly grateful.

I initially agreed, but after that I could never get anyone to return my calls or provide updates. The customer service was extremely frustrating. Out of curiosity, I searched for the door online and was shocked to find the exact same door available for $726, on their website, delivered to my home. At that point, I canceled the order, purchased the door myself, and hired a local handyman who completed all the work--including installation--for just $550. Matt, the salesperson, was pleasant to work with, but beyond that my experience was very poor. Between the lack of communication, poor customer service, and inflated pricing, I cannot recommend using Home Depot for door installation. I would strongly suggest shopping around and getting other quotes before making a decision.

They have a big yard area out back with larger goods like pedal boats and kayaks, and all at reasonable prices. We stopped by for a dog fence and examined all the outside goods first, then made our way inside to the dog area. We did find just what we were looking for, but had to search for a staff person who then reluctantly scanned the two that we were interested in. We asked for help loading, but he just said that the wagons were by the door. We hefted the dog fence to the register where they rang it up promptly. There were no more carts available, and one of the issues with this store is that there is little to no parking, especially around noon to two on weekdays and most weekends as the parking lot also serves the SLO Public Market.

I'm headed back over there shortly for some trough to use as raised garden beds, they have the best quality in the area and for you sure can't beat their prices compared to Meyer brothers or Ace Hardware.
