I live so close to this place, so I am very sad it has taken me this long to finally check it out. First, the parking lot is big so don't stress that part. Second, there are so many windows which bring in a lot of natural sunlight, but they also have some lights inside to supplement. Third, they have different seating options like couches or tables and in different parts of the place. Next, the person behind the counter was very welcoming and efficient. Lastly, I ordered the mango mint matcha and it was delicious and looked pretty. I do wish the mint flavor was stronger, but I wasn't mad about the mango flavor being dominant. The matcha was excellent and tasted high quality since it wasn't chalky or powdery. I will definitely be going back to try other things on their menu, including food items which I did not get to try this time around. read more

Super cute place in Pawtucket. My friend and I came for coffee and the barista was so patient and friendly. My friend and I also got a bagel and a ham and cheese danish. We ate them too quickly to remember to take a picture but they were both tasty. The place overall is very spacious and I would come back if I needed to get work done. read more

I attended he Hazel Origin Coffee on the corner of North Main in Providence, The staff person at the counter seemed disinterested. It was only around 12:30 and only 3 baked goods were left in the display case. The menu is very limited. I was happy to see Vietnamese coffee on the menu and ordered it. It was in a tall glass filled with ice. I had exactly two swallows and not a drop more. It was sold for six dollars and was essentially a very bland drink unlike any Vietnamese coffee I have ever had. The atmosphere is stark, cold, and unwelcoming. read more

To drink I tried a small iced pumpkin king which had (A classic house made pumpkin spice sauce with REAL pumpkin purée added to their house espresso and your choice of milk) and the pumpkin flavor was very light, if you love pumpkin I would order a extra pump or two of the pumpkin spice sauce. It is a little hard to find if you don't know where you are going but it is worth visiting. The first thing you'll likely notice is just how big & open the space is. It was not too busy when we went there so the service was quick & easy. The food menu looked good but I didn't get a chance to try. I appreciate any coffee shop that roasts their own beans. The flavor was smooth but could have been a little bolder. I look forward to trying some more of their roasts. Hazel Origin Coffee opened about a week ago in a highly industrial area of Pawtucket abutting route 95. The building is primarily the roastery and warehouse for the wholesale end of their business (of which I believe a few local coffee shops and roasteries are already customers, along with Dunkin and Starbucks according to some material I've read). While the business was founded only in 2022, the married owners each have a long history in the coffee business in their native Honduras. This sweet shop is the first of two, with the second opening soon in a new Brown University space on lower Brook Street. I had an iced latte and my husband had a cold brew. We didn't sample the pastries, or the salads/sandwiches on offer. The printed menu next to the register also lists a bagel with lox, a breakfast sandwich or two, and waffles. A man at the table next to us had something brought over to him that looked like a crepe but I didn't see one of the menu and couldn't identify what it actually was. Dine-in coffee come in reusable cups or glasses. Mine was posted as 12 ounces, but the glass felt narrower than a 12-ounce can of soda so it might have been a teeny bit less than that. Still, despite the apparent diminutive size it packed major flavor. Fantastic coffee! My husband's cold brew was strong but not bitter (he asked for cream & thought he was maybe given milk, but that may just be because he likes more dairy in his brew). The review is 4 stars for now: my barista was still learning the coffee grind/brew process & the first try at my drink wasn't successful.We didn't sample the house special Vietnamese shaken espresso - but that's what I'm getting on my next visit y'all! Yes, there's public WiFi & a super comfy cozy space for sitting and working, with numerous seating options: easy chairs, a sofa, large shareable table, two-tops, and two-tops in a more private area. In my search for a coffee cafe I found a place local to me/ my home and it's in the way home from work!! Can you say double score! I love that they can easily adapt their lattes/offerings to suit the needs of this lactose intolerant gal! Their oatmilk lattes are sinful, creamy and decadent! Got a blackberry basil this time. The tomato feta pastry intrigued me, got one and split it with my foodie buddy. However they marinade the tomatoes seriously I could have eaten a dozen of the tomatoes alone! But the combo of flaky light pastry, salty feta crumble and tomato made for the perfect bite. Also got the egg, cheddar, bacon sandwich (panini pressed) the proportions of meat, cheese and fluffy scrambled egg were well balanced. Really yummy!! For a cafe offering what I call frou frou coffees, teas, pastries and such, the prices are decent -well worth it for the deliciousness you are served. It was my first time here at Hazel and the building is off a beaten path but very well renovated and put together. It's a large black contemporary building with high ceilings. A great place to work remote or meet a friend for coffee - lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a wide menu of Tea, Coffee, and Espresso drinks with a variety of food items as well! Crepes, pancakes, salads, sandwiches, bagels, pastries. I got the Iced Shaken Vietnamese Espresso and it was delicious - strong and creamy. It only comes in one size, I wish you can get a larger one. To eat I got the Strawberry and Nutella Crepes, Egg Cheese & Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, and Chicken Caesar. I knowwww I knowww weird mix but I wanted to try a little or everything ! It's great to try out a new business in the area. When I first got there, I was intrigued at how they made good use of the space. Can I say, even if you're not a coffee drinker, you'll love their coffee. I had the strawberry cheesecake iced latte and it was delicious. It amazes me people waste money on bad coffee at Dunkin when so many of these independently owned coffee shops are around. I had the grilled chicken wrap and it is a generous size. Fries were good too! Finally I had the Black Forest pie. Again very good. I did this for take out as there were some people in there with children running around and yelling. I felt bad for the staff who are very nice and friendly. Hopefully next time, I can sit and enjoy. Just one suggestion- put a QR code menu not at the ordering station but closer to the door. The cappuccino was quite good; unusual choice of glass. Panini was good too; bit salty and def should not add pesto to the sandwich. It gives a bitter taste. Wow, this place is a MUST visit. My husband and I have been visiting a different local coffee shop each weekend and I stumbled across this place on Yelp this morning. I usually don't try places that don't already have a decent amount of reviews but saw how new this place was and figured we'd give it a shot. The few pictures on here looked promising. Their website doesn't show much of what they offer but their instagram can give you a good picture of what you'll experience. The ambience of the place is unreal. Super modern and inviting. It's definitely somewhere I'd go any given weekday to hang and get some work done. Walking in, we were pleasantly greeted and provided a menu with all their offerings. They have an array of pastries on display that we learned are all made in house. I ordered a iced caramel latte with almond milk which was delicious and my husband ordered a black hot coffee. You can tell a place has good coffee by drinking it black with none of the add ins. He said it was great. We got our daughter a slice of the freshly baked banana bread which was one of the best banana breads I've ever had. It was moist and flavorful and included walnuts and chocolate chips. I enjoyed the waffle with fresh berries. The berry compote on top was unreal. And my husband had the poached egg waffle. The eggs were fluffy and the yolk perfectly runny. The cream cheese was a unique addition that my husband said complimented it perfectly. To top it off, I'm assuming she was either an owner or manager, asked if we needed a high chair for our daughter. I soo appreciate places like this that think of families. This coffee spot is so good. Located near the weed dispensary, a whole date day could be planned just between these two spots. I wont a contest on Instagram and decided to keep it for myself instead of giving it as a gift, and Im so glad I did. Get the Vietnamese Shaken Espresso, the tres leches, or a cuban sandwich and come back and mark this review as helpful because those are the best things on the menu and you'll love them. The coffee is bold, the tres leches is not too sweet but just perfect, and the Cuban is better than what you'll find in Miami. I'm not one to usually complain, but this place was just... wow. I ordered a latte, and it tasted like burnt tires mixed with dish soap. Seriously, I think I could have brewed a better cup with my eyes closed. The barista looked like they hated their job (and honestly, I don't blame them). Visited hazel on our way to run some errands. We love to prioritize local roasters! Unfortunately, tho they were advertising a few options on their menu board, they let us know they only had one roast available that day. My husband chose to get a plain black (he says it's to really taste the coffee) while I ordered a lavender latte. I tried the black coffee which was dark, and it was a blended roast. I'd be curious to try their single roast on another occasion to get more distinct flavors. My lavender latte was a total success and we ended up sharing that while we let the black coffee cool. Though we didn't linger, the space was bright and roomy. We'll have to stop by with more time to enjoy the atmosphere. read more

Really enjoyed my last time coming! I went the week they opened and it was clear they were still working out some kinks, so I gave it some time and went back. The Haze latte was so good, that it was hard not to buy a second one. I got it hot! So I can't speak to their cold drinks. I also got a sandwich and sweet potato fries that were so yummy. They have an entire menu not just breakfast. The service was kind and fast. They had crayons out so my daughter enjoyed coloring, and I noticed a lot of other people stopped by with their kids. A lot of time I find the hip coffee shops aren't really marketed for families, but this one definitely is because they had out books and those crayons. Price wise, I do think the coffee is at a higher price point but the food is not, and is totally on point. Overall I will come back because it's right next to where I work out, which actually might be a problem for me ha! read more

I want to give this place 5 stars - I really do. I will share below all of the great things as well, but for me, unfortunately, my sense of smell makes this a hard place for me to enjoy. The entire place smells of a strong cleaning fluid that my nose never gets used to. I hope to have a coffee shop smell of, well, coffee, and the amazing foods being prepared. But all I smell here are chemicals and it's so strong it is hard to be here for long. I don't even become nose blind to it. I wish I could come and sit here. This place is excellent in so many ways.
