I will echo what some others have experienced. It is quick and easy. Once I went for a refill and still had some propane remaining in my tank. They swapped out for a full tank and took the money for a full tank when it would have cost me less to fill the tank I brought in. Recently I took a tank with some propane remaining inside for refill and they did fill my same tank but charged me the price for a full tank. A bit shady. read more

This place is great. They will exchange and deliver your propane tanks as requested. In January I ran out of propane cooking my tri-tips. I called them and they said they would stay and wait for me after normal business hours. Not only did they wait for me, but they also gave me a discount on my propane. I've been getting propane from HBP for 10 years, when they opened. BUT...I went in to buy a new propane tank (with propane) and they wanted to charge me $70.00. They said they can't get more tanks and no one else has them. Well, AM/PM has them new/filled for $49.00 and 7/11 has them for $54.00. I always shop local to support our community, but when they want to take advantage of the community that's supported them since their beginning. Oh well, not cool!! read more

Have to agree with the other negative reviews here recently. Went there today to support local business with a tank that was probably a quarter to half full. They filled it up and then said $25 without even reading the gauge to see how much propane they filled my tank with! Not friendly not courteous didn't really care if I was there or not. U-Haul is right around the corner and a better deal all the way around. read more

Had an expired propane tank for a BBQ (apparently they expire after 12 years?) so I brought it here to do an exchange. I was told you can get them recertified but it costs the same to get a brand new one, so might as well just get a new one. Most places charge you a fee to take your old one and recycle it, here they give you a credit toward your new tank for recycling your old one- sweet deal! I gave the guy my old tank and for $20 I had a new, full one. Easy and quick transaction! read more

Make sure you shop around for the price of propane before you go. I went on Monday and got surprised with $4.25 a gallon at checkout. This place is TERRIBLE! First time going into this place and a worker in a company van came speeding out and almost hit me. He began cursing and flipped me off. He sped off on Garfield and I complained to the guy at the front and he acted like he didn't know him and blew it off. Where is the Manager? Avoid this place! Seriously disappointed and will never do business with them! Their prices are more than U-Haul. Also read all the five star reviews this place received and you will soon see it's people affiliated with the business hyping of their business. Spend the time on good customer service and better prices and your business will prosper! I love when I find a small, local business like this. I opted to just stop by with my tank and have it filled since I was running around town anyway. It only cost $11 (it wasn't fully empty) and the gentleman helping me was one of the nicest guys I've ever met and was incredibly happy to be of service. So I purchased a tank of propane from HB propane about 3 weeks ago and set it in my garage. I haven't been in my garage since then with work being hectic due to these times with the Covid-19 epidemic. It's been raining so bbqing hasn't been an option. I grab the tank to grill some food and it was empty. The tank had leaked over the weeks it sat there. I took into HB Propane and the guy with the beard and dip in his mouth basically tells me I'm out of luck on a refill and hinted that I used it all. It's a $20 propane tank that I can afford to buy but good service would have refilled it without the interrogation and negativity. As a business owner in HB I will never buy from here again and a lesson in customer service some people need. I joined yelp today just to write this review because that's how unprofessional I feel this place is. Terrible service. I used their propane delivery service twice. I have custom painted tanks. The first time was fine, however, the second time they completely scratched up the tank all over, which I did not discover until they charged my credit card. They took no responsibility. On top of that, Josh was rude about it saying, "I can't worry about paint on a tank." Naturally, I would never use them again. read more

Was trying to get a refill of propane from the gas station and the employee was no help at all and wanted us to buy a new tank when we had one we wanted to refill. Jason was filling up his truck and saw us having trouble. He offered us his business card and to follow him to fill up our propane tank. RUN from this place Garfield/Gothard- Biggest scam going!!! I moved to HB and needed my two propane tanks filled. Not exchanged but filled. Place looked great from the curb like a Propane Lumber Yard. First off- a worker parks his 'HB PROPANE' signed truck in the entry way allowing only 1 auto width to drive in- should have been my first clue- cuz you are stuck once you drive in. There's No Price No Sign No nothing. I got out of my truck and asked for propane- young worker who was filling up tanks said "we can exchanged" I said, "I don't need exchanged only filled"- he said "sure". Filled in seconds, put both into truck and he said go in and pay- Again, there's no cost or sign or anywhere- even the hose he filled it with didn't have any measurement or dollar amount- so I thought it might be in the office- OFFICE? it looked like a Tuff Shed box doubling as an office- told him what I just did and he said, "$50 for both"- I said, "What?" he said "25 per exchange" I said "he filled my own tanks" he said "$25 each". He pointed to a hand written sign, "Propane Shortage" what a friggin' ripoff. $6 more than Home Depot; Mobile or 7/11per tank for an exchange- won't give a price to fill your own tank(s) BBB is getting this same message- read more
