Stayed 2 days at the hotel and ate breakfast buffet twice, 1 lunch and 2 dinners. The food was good but service for lunch and dinners was very slow, drink orders were inaccurate. I asked for a dirty martini neat. What I got was a regular martini with no olives or olive juice. Server said I didn't ask for olives and blamed it on the hostess. No the server took my order. Took 10 minutes after asking to get our check and then another 10 to get it processed. Asked for decaf coffee and got regular because I was awake until 2am. I know this was true because a fellow patron said the same thing at breakfast this morning. We never saw tables being cleaned/sanitized between guests. Ugh. Marriott Do Better!! read more

Located inside the Marriott, HC Provisions is an interesting restaurant. It is an open space concept in the lobby area with very little physical division from the entry to the restaurant. When I entered I wasn't sure what the process was - find my own table or be seated? I didn't know which was the more official entrance - the hotel lobby side or the exterior entrance that had their name on it. I opted to find my own seat and see what happens since the reviews were so solid. I didn't wait long before a waiter asked me if I had been helped. He provided me a menu, made sure I got a drink, and was very pleasant, warm, and welcoming. The uncertainty I felt upon entering I felt melt away after talking to him. He seemed surprised that a non-hotel guest was there but very pleased to hear that they had such good reviews! And I can see why! The aviation cocktail was amazing; it was balanced perfectly and very easy to drink. The chicken sandwich was quite tasty - savory, deliciousness. The French fries were crunchy on the outside and potato pillows on the in. It was a very good size meal too! I wasn't able to eat all my delicious fries because I filled up quick! After eating I waited for a bit and then a bit more. The place was quite busy for two people so I went to the bar to close out my bill. It was a very pleasant experience! read more

On a layover here and needed something to eat. Unless you have a car to cross the highway there isn't anything walkable so I chose to just dine in here. Open seating, decent pricing, QR code menu. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich and fries (pictured) and my coworkers both ordered the pepperoni flat bread. The food came out pretty quickly and was served hot which is always a plus. My chicken sandwich was pretty basic, fries were great and I really enjoyed the flat bread. The flat bread is cut up and you get about 10 little squares but it's makes for a nice meal or snack so they shared with me. If you need a bite to eat or want to hang out for a drink there's plenty of seating and something for everyone on the menu. read more

Very pleasantly surprised. In town for business, had dinner at HC Provisions in the Marriott, ate at HC every night! The Chefs specials were unique fresh, high quality, and expertly prepared. Chef Phil Raus prepared a shrimp n grits with sliced sweet pan seared peppers, juicy blackened shrimp, a fantastic blue cheese coated pork chop, a second to none Shawarma with cloves, cinnamon and raisins, carrots and cilantro. Two baked beefsteak tomato slices and parsimonious amount of micro greens atop. Fresh hummus side. He prepares from the heart and you can taste it. read more

We were going to a show at the PAC and needed somewhere nice and close for an adult beverage and something to eat. The HC Provisions was the place. We sat at the bar, ordered a couple of drinks and had great conversation with the staff. Now... full disclosure, this is a hotel restaurant. Clean, well decorated and cool ambiance. Not many people in the restaurant at 6pm but that was fine with us. The bathroom was a hike so don't put it off, if you gotta go, get up a go. The food you ask? Delicious! I got a burger, perfectly cooked, all toppings on the side and the seasoned fries were good too. We got the fried green tomatoes as a horde vor and omg were they were awesome! My wife got some broccoli spinach flat bread thing? I did not want any of that! But of course she just had to have some of my fries! I digress. O well. Is what it is. I had lunch here so I have no idea what dinner is like. That said lunch is served in the lobby bar area. They have a small menu, but it seems to have a nice range for most people. Kind of awkward place to have lunch. I was the only one there, and I felt like I was on display in the lobby of the hotel. Service was decent, although the server seemed a little confused about some of the menu items. She crab soup was actually pretty good. I travel to this hotel quite frequently for business, and LOVE this restaurant SO much. It's so great to have a great late night food option after a long day of work. I've tried many of their dishes on the menu. But my favorite has to be their ribeye steak with mac&cheese. It's so great and comes with a tasty herb butter. I also have had their chicken and waffles. The waffles are green chili corn waffles and are absolutely divine. Cocktail menu is yummy and extensive and the ricotta cheesecake is PERFECTION. Currently craving it now. Seriously though, do yourself a favor and swing by this place for a drink or meal! read more

Been staying at the Marriott for three weeks now. Went down to eat the first night and was told by the bar that they would "be right there" to take my order as there were 5 other people in the restaurant/bar and no one came over for 10 minutes so I left. Gave it another another chance tonight and sat at the bar to get 1 beer to finish watching a game. Saw her serve a man a beer while I was sitting. I've spent many nights eating at Marriott hotel restaurants but this has to be one of the slowest most embarrassing operations I've ever seen. I sat 15 minutes at the table in front of the bar and no one spoke to me. The gentleman beside me said he had been there 10 minutes prior and had yet to place a drink order. I decided to step up to the bar and order my food to go. While waiting on my order I saw two orders come out of the kitchen that had to be sent back because they were incorrect. It appears it was no fault of the kitchen but the bartender/waiter keyed in the wrong order. My club sandwich was a pretty sorry excuse for a club. I would call it turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato and a couple of slices of bacon. The french fries looked like they came from McDonald's with added parsley flakes. I'm throwing in an extra star because at least they found someone to work, post Covid-19. You would be better off walking across the highway to find a better restaurant. read more

HC Provisions at the North Charleston Marriott on Goer Drive in North Charleston is a great place to get a good meal in a relaxed and modern setting. I really like all of the open space and furniture and decoration in this restaurant area from the dining area to the bar area. This a great place to have a business meeting and conduct business and it works really well for that purpose. The food is great and creative and really adds to the experience. In the times that I have been there the service has been efficient and friendly and they did everything that they needed to do to make sure that we had an excellent dining experience. I have been impressed every time I have been there and it is good to know that this place will be there when you need it. read more

I came here with coworkers that were all staying at the Marriott. We had the dining room reserved for our large group. Our order was taken with no issues, but it was somewhat irritating that they would not bring us water or any drinks-they all had to be purchased and carried over from the bar. Minor inconvenience but not the end of the world. I'm writing this review still sitting in the restaurant, an hour and a half after ordering my food, and asking about it on 5 separate occasions because it still hasn't been brought out. Instead I've gone to the little store at the front and bought Doritos and a bottle of Mountain Dew. Everyone else's food looked pretty good. My Doritos were tasty, and the Mountain Dew wasn't bad. But I sure would like to get the burger they're charging to my room sometime before I check out tomorrow. read more

We had lunch here the first day we arrived and it was delicious. Then we came back for dinner the following evening and it was a wonderful experience. The service alone was superb. This lovely restaurant is located in the newly renovated North Charleston Marriot. We had dinner there during our stay. The food was delicious! Between 4 of us, we had the bacon burger, crab cakes and pork chop entres. We also had the fried green tomato appetizer and the ricotta cheesecake for dessert. This place is so beautiful and I love how amazing the building looks transitioning from the Sheraton to Marriot! Everyone is very friendly and each step you take, someone is always there to greet you and provide excellence service. I came to eat here 3 weeks after the grand opening and RJ, the host, blew us away with knowing our names!! I definitely plan on dining here again soon! read more
