The staff at HD Hookups (Doug, Tony, & Paulo) did a great job overall and I'm satisfied with the installation. I got some quotes from other places, but from looking at other reviews, I decided to go with them. I texted through Yelp to get more information on one day, then by the next day (morning), they had me sold and before you know it, the installers were at my place in the afternoon I had my flat screen mounted on the wall above my fireplace. They added an electrical outlet behind the TV. The electrical wiring and a spare HDMI cable were routed in the wall, and out the side of the wall, which was routed that way because a house ac outlet was there. Very professional! Tony and Paulo were the installers and they not only were professional, but did exactly what I wanted with this type of installation. You can tell these guys have been around for awhile because they were fast; good teamwork--solid! I highly recommend them if you need this type of flat screen TV installation. Quick friendly service. Tony was our technician, he was great! He explained the process before starting and throughout the work. We had a common problem where he needed to cut an additional hole to drill through a board to be able to drop the HDMI cords. He cearly explained the process, how he will patch the hole and he was able to hide it behind the TV so it wouldn't show. The scheduling and service were timely and efficient given the fact that we had them hookup both a new wall mounted 65" TV and receiver linked to our surround sound system and CD and DVD players. I would not have a clue how to do all that was required but they made it look easy and everything worked great after they were finished. Update: Diego ended up calling me back (he had a family emergency back home) and we worked out a deal to get my tv, 5.1 surround sound system, shelving unit, and wires pulled under the carpet. I will say he and Brian did a good job and did it quickly. Three reasons why it isn't a 5 star still. 1) Shaky start to get the job started. 2) They cut a large hole for the rear speaker which was excessive. You can see the hole still even though it's covered. 3) The coax was pulled but not super cleanly done. I expected it to be punched down along the wall, but part of it sticks out into 2 feet of the carpet where you walk and you can feel it when you walk in that area. All in all, I think they're good guys and do a good job, especially for the price I got since it took a week for them to call me back. read more

There were lots of unforseen problems that we had to workaround in terms of the wall we wanted to mount, how to rerout cables, etc. and they worked hard to make sure everything got done as quickly and simply as possible. Had a 42" TV, sound-bar, and a low profile TV cabinet wall mounted by HD Hookups. Diego gave me a quote on phone after discussing the basics of what was needed, and followed it up with a morning appointment setup via email. The installation team (Gennaro and Antonio) got somewhat late on the morning of appointment due to some mixup in the schedule, but they worked fast and without a break. The system looked great after wall mounting, but due to some missing hardware, the wall mounted cabinet wasn't perfectly leveled. At that point, we agreed to give it a try for a couple of weeks, to see if the tilt was perceivable by others -It did turn out to be noticeable. There were some hiccups in reaching Diego to schedule an appointment to fix it, but after I finally reached him after a few weeks, he arranged for Gennaro to come back to take care of the issue. Gennaro stopped by with Paulo, and re-installed the cabinet/sound-bar - no tilt any more. Definitely recommended. read more
